Perched on a summit above Irwin Mountain, this beautiful mountain retreat features amazing views of Tray, Chimney and several other northern mountain ranges making for one of the longest tiered and deeply layered vistas in the area. Views change continually throughout the day, culminating in stunning sunsets - a perfect time to relax in the hot tub or gather around the fire pit!

In this beautiful setting far from city lights and light pollution, Lazy Bear Cabin is the perfect location for stargazing, yet is still convenient to Helen, Sautee, Batesville and Lake Burton, and just 2 miles to The Old Sautee Store, Sweetwater Coffee House, or Harvest Habersham - all local favorites!

Rustic elegance awaits you, with a classic log cabin exterior, covered back porch with rocking chairs and fire feature, adjoining carport for effortless unloading! The interior offers a warm and upscale open-concept design -- with kitchen, dining, and living space highlighting the stunning mountain views and scenery visible from the living area.

The fully stocked kitchen has everything you need to prepare gourmet meals while staying connected to the fun happening in the living space. The dining table seats six comfortably, with two additional barstools at the counter and ample tableware for everyone.Ā  In the living room, relax on two large, cozy leather sofas and enjoy your favorite shows or sports on the big-screen SMART TV.

The covered back deck showcases the stunning year-round mountain views that draw visitors to the Georgia Mountains. A beautiful gas fire pit on the porch creates the perfect setting for unwinding and watching the sunset.

Down the steps from the main deck, youā€™ll find a spacious hot tub overlooking the mountains, along with a wood-burning fire pit. Itā€™s the perfect spot for roasting sā€™mores, cooking hot dogs, and creating unforgettable family memories. Settle into the Adirondack chairs and enjoy the warmth of a true mountain campfire experience.

This cabin was very cozy and just what we needed for a quick weekend getaway. It was only a 15 minute drive from Helen. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed.

The house was wonderful. Beautiful location. Very quiet and secluded. The house was one of the cleanest we have ever stayed at. The place and the view are better than the pictures show. We will definitely be staying here again when coming to the area.

We love Cozy Bear

We are loving this little cabin in the woods. Perfect for relaxing vacation. The kitchen was great equipped with all you need to cook your meals. Bedroom and baths were very clean. We really enjoyed the view from the patio.Overall great experience

Amazing rental

This was your far the best cabin rental we have had to date. The owners were very responsive to any questions. The view and the home amazing. Plenty of wood for the fire pit, a nice clean grill and gas fire place inside and out. Everything thing was easy to use and understand. We loved the covered car porch as well! The road in was a beautiful drive. We will stay here again!

Beautiful view

Beautiful views in a quiet neighborhood! We loved our stay! While we were there a company was supposed to come out and asphalt the driveway and the property management team was very nice and communicated everything with us and even said they would be there while they were working on the driveway to assure that we would not be blocked in/out. We had no issues and would definitely recommend!!!

Amazing Cabin in Private Setting

We had a fantastic weekend of games, campfires, and cookouts. Beautiful cabin and scenery. Attentive hosts. High quality towels and plenty of them (not always the case with rental properties!) Games, puzzles, & novels available for entertainment. Kitchen is well stocked with cookware, utensils & dishes. The only thing renters should be aware of is the gravel drive is very steep, and was difficult to climb in a sedan & minivan- use a 4 wheel drive vehicle if available.

Cozy Mountain View Cabin

My husband and I absolutely loved this cabin. Beautiful mountain view, spacious, cozy. We made good use of both the fireplace inside and out on the deck. We only used the master bedroom, bed was comfy and the shower was relaxing. Adventurous and safe to drive to the cabin. The second floor was just as cozy as the rest of the home. It was also great to read the comments in the guest book from previous vacationers. Paul and Pam were great in communicating with us throughout our stay. We kept telling each other we definitely will be back with family and friends. Thanks again for such a lovingly home. The Ocasio Family , Central Florida

Spectacular view

It was quite a climb to get there but the view when you walk in the front door will be worth it! This would be a great spot for a family or couples. A little big for just my husband and I but we thoroughly enjoyed all the amenities. The hot tub was very relaxing after a day spent hiking or exploring. Although you feel so very removed from everything, it is actually a short drive to several different towns. We loved Helen! My only complaint is the master bed being a memory foam mattress. They are not comfortable to me and I might have chosen another cabin if that were specified in the listing. Some love them, Im personally not a fan. All else was wonderful!

Heart of the Mountain

Wonderful experience for my wife's birthday surprise trip from start to finish for the whole family; kids ages 1-9. Very warm responsive communications throughout. The cabin has beautiful architecture, is beautifully appointed AND nothing dangerous/fragile in reach of a toddler. The big kids LOVED the spiral staircase -parents too :). Kitchen was lovely and very well stocked with everything we needed. Game selection was perfect for mountain cabin, kids even discovered a large tin of Lincoln Logs! All the beds were very comfortable and inviting after a long hike down into and up out of Tallulah Gorge. Warm evenings enjoying the easy gas fires in the very comfortable living room and porch were only topped by the splendid morning view from the bedroom door of those misty blue mountains.

Lazy bear cabin

Cabin was great but I didnā€™t realize the hot tub was not on right out bedroom door and you had to go down a couple of flights of stairs to get under the house /porch to use it. I donā€™t do stairs well so this was a small set back and I wasnā€™t able to enjoy it because of that and it was just to cold to get in and have to walk that far wet in the cold. Other than that it was an awesome cabin. Well kept and super clean!!!
