I can’t say enough good things about Explore Mayberry. From the beginning Joann was so lovely and accommodated some special needs we had. I don’t think we have ever stayed in such a clean and well stocked property. She has really given a lot of thought into what a guest would want. It is very convenient to everything. I would most certainly recommend and give it a 10/10 5 and an A rating! What a treat and we hope to stay again in the future!

What a perfectly delightful place to stay in Mt. Airy! The house was pristinely clean, completely equipped better than any other rental I’ve ever stayed in, comfortable, roomy, lovely, and well located. Our family of six enjoyed every moment and wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the deck, porch, and the fire pit in the beautiful back yard. It was wonderful in every way!

This was a delightful place to stay while visiting the town of Mt. Airy. Beautifully decorated, had everything you could ever need in the kitchen for making meals, an exceptional coffee bar both upstairs and down, great outdoor spaces and the JoAnn, the host, went above and beyond to check in and make sure we had everything we needed.

We had a great time. The house was just as advertised. Clean and comfortable with lots of extras typically not provided at a property in my opinion. I only wish we had had more time to actually enjoy everything. The property was well appointed. Bedrooms were comfortable. With tvs in each plus in the living room and a downstairs tv room. Downtown was beautiful. Loved Leon’s burgers and Kate’s cocktail lounge. Joann was a great host and guided us through the process. She responded in a very timely manner to all queries. When we come back to Mount Airy, we’ll definitely look at this property again. Can’t go wrong with this one.

Joann was an absolutely amazing host! From the moment we booked, she was incredibly responsive and provided us with a wonderful list of things to do and great places to eat, which made planning our trip so easy.We truly can’t say enough good things about the house. Joann thought of everything! Every room was beautifully stocked with all the comforts and essentials you could possibly need. We especially loved relaxing on the decks and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Although we didn’t end up cooking, the kitchen was fully equipped with anything you would need to prepare meals at home.We visited to celebrate a 59th birthday and attend the Mayberry Fest, and the location could not have been more perfect. We were so close to everything we wanted to see and do, making the entire trip convenient and stress-free.This home exceeded our expectations in every way, and we would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

This is one of the best rental homes we’ve stayed at. It is exactly as described and more. JoAnn is a top-notch host, very helpful, and she makes you feel so welcome! She checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, so thoughtful and kind. I made a couple of special requests, and JoAnn quickly accommodated. JoAnn has thought of everything. The house is newly remodeled and beautifully decorated; everything is new, nice, and well thought out. From the comfortable beds, toiletries in each bathroom, luggage racks in each bedroom, to the coffee/tea bars, and so much more!The home has a great layout; The two master suites are a huge bonus, and we loved the open floor plan on the main level. It was easy for our friend, who needs mobility assistance, to move around the house. JoAnn had a recliner moved upstairs for our friend to sit more comfortably, which was so appreciated!There was plenty of space for our party of 4, and it would be a great space for 6 people. There is so much space to spread out and many seating options inside and outdoors. We enjoyed hanging out and relaxing on the front porch and the lower-level deck. We prepare and cook a lot of our meals while traveling, and this kitchen has everything we needed. It‘s equipped with quality cookware, cutlery & utensils, baking essentials, and more.We highly recommend staying here! We will be back!

I really appreciate the gifts you left for me - that was so very kind. Future guest I know will enjoy the Wally’s Service Station puzzle. It was not a problem to help the individual with mobility issues feel more comfortable with the recliner upstairs. Having no steps to enter the home was intentional as I have a special needs son. There are rentals that are 5 star and there are those that are exceptional! Every detail has been addressed and accommodated. Extremely clean and well provisioned. It is bright and quiet. Joann is extremely responsive and pleasant to work with. Information about the area is provided. Convenient to downtown and local wineries. Don’t miss it if you visit Mt. Airy. You will not regret it!

Thank you for sharing your house with our family. The house was awesome. It was clean, well stocked, the snacks that were left were great. The lower level was loved by my son. We had great weather and were able to use the fire pit. The TV on the covered patio allowed us to spend time outside and enjoy some of our favorite shows. House is close to downtown, very convenient location to food and grocery stores as well. The front has rocking chairs, you can sit out front and enjoy the weather.. I would definitely recommend this house and plan on renting again when we visit Mt Airy in the future. Thank you again.

I am so glad that you enjoyed your time at Explore Mayberry! The covered deck with a Smart TV is so fun ! I love to sit on the front porch in the rocking chairs too! It was wonderful that you could enjoy the fire pit as well. Having the downstairs with the second King Master and small den does create the perfect layout when traveling with other guests, couples or family members. We would love to have you back again!
