A mountain hut vacation with authentic charm, any time of year: The Gilferthütte at gruppenchalets.com!. You’ll be at 1,580 meters, surrounded by the wondrous alpine landscape of the Tux Alps. The alpine hut has been preserved in its original condition and carefully expanded with great care and attention to detail.
The Gilferthütte, with its picturesque, secluded location, is the perfect spot for nature lovers. Right next to it is a forest clearing with a blooming alpine meadow and a view of the Tux Alps. The old barn with its “outdoor toilet,” which now serves as a storage shed for farm equipment, evokes times long past. A well rounds out the rustic scene.
Please note: In winter, the hut is accessible only on foot (approx. 1 hour) or by ski touring! Also, in winter there is no running water in the hut and no bathroom!
Authenticity and charm aren’t just found outside—they’re also inside the Gilferthütte. The original wood-burning stove provides cozy warmth and gives meals a special touch. The kitchen, with its dining table and wooden bench, invites you to enjoy a convivial get-together. Thanks to the cool temperatures year-round, the large pantry is ideal for storing food. The two bedrooms with double beds offer plenty of space even for two couples, and a small bathroom with a shower and hot water provides comfort after an active day. Please note that in winter the water source freezes, so there is no running water. During these months, water is boiled on the wood-burning stove (Wassergrander).
Starting right from the cabin, the most beautiful hiking trails of varying difficulty levels open up around Nonsberg and Gilfert.
In winter, the Gilferthütte is an ideal starting point for ski tours or snowshoe hikes.
And if you ever want to take a day off, you’ll be completely undisturbed here and can relax to your heart’s content.
