Great stay

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. It was very clean and well maintained. Easy walk (.33 miles) to the beech. Check and check out also went very smoothly.

Perfect spot

The location was nice with easy access to the pool and a short walk to the beach. Condo was clean, beach towels would have been nice but a quick trip to CVS solved that. Water pressure in downstairs bath was very low. All in all a nice place to stay.

Great place

Beautiful condo, very clean. Had to get the back door handle tended to because it wouldn’t lock and ended up falling off. Service team tended to it, but it did take overnight. Thankfully we were able to get it locked for the one night.

Great Villa

Very clean. Best sofa sleeper I've slept on. My sheets were brand new. Pool out the back deck. Good shortcut to the beach. Only two small things. Had to buy skillet to make gravy. No skillets. Back door handle to deck was broke. But I would there again. I've stayed in Hickory Cove several times.

Adequate Not Great

No parking by this unit . Nearest parking area was oftentimes full. Condo was fine but not too well supplied with basics. Have stsyed in Hickory Cove many times previously. Will not choose 39 again.

Great Villa for small family or two couples

This was the perfect rental for my wife and I to spend a long weekend without our teenage kids. Close to the beach, Dunes House, Alexanders, and the General Store. I especially liked the pool and how well it was shaded. We owned a villa in Ocean Cove for several years and that pool turned into hot bathwater in the summer but I think Hickory Coves pool will stay nice and cool. The bathroom updates were very modern and tasteful. We ate out every day and night but the kitchen was still nice. I made one peach daiquiri and the blender worked fine. TV's were easy to operate and did't require a degree from NASA to navigate which is always nice. All in all a great stay. We will be back!

Old Unit Needs Updates & Work

We thought the unit needed much attention. Broken furniture drawers, WiFi connection, TV connections did not work. We called maintenance several times for various issues. Walls needed painted. The location is not good. Have no view of anything. Virtually sitting in a clump of trees. Rather isolated and not the typical Hilton Head experience. I would not recommend this unit.

VRBO does not have our back

We were due to check in on 9/29 @ 4 pm. We sent a message to the property management, Vacasa, asking if the property was safe since there was a hurricane and storm surge warning. They still have never responded, so we did not check in. We called VRBO for help and they told us it was Vacasas problem and hung up on us when we asked for a supervisor. Property owners - this is what you are paying 30% for...

Very convenient to our family, and about a 5-10 minute walk to beach, tennis or golf too.

The unit was in a good location while we were visiting family. We enjoyed walking everywhere, and convenient to the Country Store, beach, golf, bike rental, etc. The kitchen was very clean and new fridge and oven. The bathrooms are old, our shower upstairs filled up with water over our ankles, and floor a little dirty when we checked in. I called maintenance and they immediately fixed the problem. The coffee maker was old and broken, they also brought over a new one, although I had to unpack from box, wash and set up. It is nice there were TV's in each bedroom and in the living room area, although we didn't use one in upstairs. (couldn't get signal) Overall experience was very good, and although the bathrooms old, maintenance did fix the problems. The key pick up was easy from Wyndham box and drop off. Make sure you leave the names for a car pass ahead of time in case you have anyone visit, otherwise no one can drive in to see you! I would stay here again. We have a great week.

Needs some maintenance but not a bad place to stay overall.

Palmetto Dunes is a nice area and the condo is an easy 7-10 minute walk to the beach. However, we arrived the evening of June 3rd. On June 4th I sent a message to Vacasa because the handle on the back sliding door was coming off and the lock was not working properly. I had to mess with the lock lever over and over again to get it to stay in a locked position. There was an old broom stick that had been stuck behind the door to "lock" it but if you simply slid the door the broom stick slid right out of the way. It was too long to provide any resistance. Also, even in the locked position, the door lock would unlock with a light joggling of the door. They messaged me back that day and asked if they could schedule someone to come out and fix it. I responded and asked if they could fix it while we were gone because obvioulsy since we were on vacation we didn't want to hang around waiting for someone to come to the condo. Vacase messaged back and said that they would notify the local staff of my request and once they had feedback they would let me know. I was never contacted after that and on Thursday, June 8th I messaged back and said not to bother now since we were a couple of days from checking out. It was very disappointing that we could not feel safe at night because we knew the easily accessible back sliding door would not lock properly. The grill is a small 3 burner grill. However, one of the burners is broken out of place so only 2 burners work. The grill should be replaced

Wonderful Vacation!

We had such a wonderful experience. The house was perfect. It was clean, stocked with everything we needed for the week, and so close to the beach! It was just a short 5 minute walk to the beach. This was the perfect family friendly, fun vacation. We’ll definitely be returning!!
