Cute place to stay! Unfortunately it rained so we weren't able to enjoy the outdoor patio and firepit as much as we would have liked. Parking is a little tricky, especially for pick up truck. Overall, beautiful scenery and good place to relax.

Beautiful lake front cabin! Easy walk to the lakeshore. Limited kitchen but with the grill, it had everything we needed. Minor amount of bugs, but it’s a lakeside cabin after all! Gorgeous views!

We've had a pest control company service the home to try and reduce the amount of bugs in the cabin. Of course, we can't do much about the fact that it is lakeside and so there are bugs near the water. We look forward to having you stay with Vacation RentalCollective again in the future!

A quaint and tiny cabin

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 3 nights, two days, lots of rain, caught two fish in the lake and overall had a pleasant time. There is no onsite dumpster for trash so I put mine in a neighbors can. I had no choice other than to take it with me. Bears are a problem, I get it, but the trash take out needs some clarification.

You're right that bears make it tricky out here, and we're updating our guest instructions so the trash plan is clear before arrival. Such a nice, cute little cabin to stay in while in the Bayfield area! Easy check in, great location, very nice host with prompt communication! It was warm during our stay and we were glad to have windows - would have been better if ALL the windows had screens. The “driveway” is the big issue. It’s very narrow and on a steep grade. We were lucky to be in a small vehicle (Honda HRV). A bigger vehicle would have had more difficulty navigating around with bags in hand.

This place was cute! It’s a nice walk down to Vallecito Lake. It was a bit hard to find when we first arrived but we were able to figure it out. We could never find the dumpster, however. It does get VERY hot during the day. Even though the temps were in the mid 80s, there is no shade at all so you really get roasted sitting on the patio or down in the little yard area. They do provide fans inside the place which help, but I think if there was a ceiling fan it would be much better. Also, just be aware that there is no cooktop, only a microwave, toaster oven, and grill outside. The fridge provided is very small and there is no freezer. Just some things to keep in mind!It’s nice that they allow dogs and our pups enjoyed going to the lake.

Nice place. Minimal indoor seating, though. No fly swatter.grill was nice for grilling. Outdoor area needs some cleaning up, but nice. Bed extremely comfortable. Nice TV. We would stay here again absolutely!

Short getaway for my husband, dog, and I. Cute place. It’s small- but is listed accurately. Great outdoor patio and fire pit space. We didn’t use the fire pit for a fire, but did enjoy the morning sunshine in the fire pit area. Theres no place to sit and relax inside the cabin/studio other than the bed. Just be prepared for the cabin vibe in the size of a hotel room. We would stay again but not for a longer time. We enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful Cabin

This is a small cabin but the patio makes it feel much larger. I was in the area to hike, fish and enjoy Colorado at the end of September. The cabin was great for that. The cabin is set up thoughtfully by the owners and is very efficient with its space. I like to cook when possible, and the gas grill with a side burner (along with a microwave and toaster oven) could handle anything I needed. I highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing outdoor visit.

Great location - beautiful view of the lake. Decorated beautifully - very nautical and cozy. Needs some love and care. Great to have grill but only 2 burners on it worked - which was okay. Couldn’t open a couple of windows due to screen torn and no screen on others but it was cool enough. Entry gate to the house needs fixing - wood rot but easily fixable - but made entry and departure a tad challenging. Would definitely rent again!
