The Space:

This beautiful, three-bedroom home enjoys a pristine location within the happy community of Sea Colony, just a mile from the blue waters of the Atlantic! Inside, an open-concept living space is dressed with bright, beachy decor and wall art, comfortable furniture, and lots of natural light streaming in through two broad sliding glass doors leading out to the furnished private balcony and screened-in wrap-around porch. When you're not out exploring the fantastic beaches or hiking trails, pluck a favorite DVD from the private movie library and kick back on the living room sofa to enjoy it with lots of hot buttered popcorn. You'll love soaking in the shared pool and hot tub after a long, leisurely bike ride, and a private washer/dryer is on hand to take care of your dirty laundry, so you can even pack light! Use the high-speed WiFi to research a new recipe for tonight's dinner party, then get crackin' in the full kitchen. The kids will love helping from the breakfast bar's stools, and you can serve up to eight guests at the handsome dining table or take them outside to the deck for an al-fresco meal. Sea Colony enjoys a private beach for whole afternoons of sun and sand, and you'll love brushing up on your surfing skills while you're here. Need some gear? Bethany Surf Shop is just a mile and a half away with all the apparel, surfboards, paddleboards, and accessories you'll need during your stay. THINGS TO KNOW Delaware regulations require all guests sign a lease agreement within 10 days of booking. Vacasa was wonderful. But VRBO had the wrong check in location. Took over an hour and 3 stops to get correct address to check in. Place was great. Quiet and well stocked.

Perfect home in perfect location!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The home is well decorated, and the owner recently updated the kitchen countertops and the furniture in the living room. The master bed is extremely comfortable… probably one of the best beds we’ve ever slept in quite honestly. The home is right next to the water so you can sit out on the screened-in porch and drink your coffee in the morning. With all of the amenities Sea Colony has to offer, this home was perfect for our family. There’s plenty of pools and trams that take you to/from the beach. We’d love to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beach rental with all the amenities you’ll ever need.

The house was difficult to access, particularly for me who uses a cane. But the view of the pond was lovely.

Great Condo

Great place very private and secluded. New couch, floors, and nice screened porch. The cleaners did not do a good job cleaning. All the coffee cups in the cabinet were dirty and the bathroom tiles need a good scrub. It is not the owners fault but the management company needs to do a better job cleaning. Overall a great place and would recommend.

Problems

When we arrived there was no hot water. So no showers. TV in living room wasn't working. Couldn't use trundle bed for toddler as planned because it couldn't fit being pulled out. There always seems to be problems with Vacasa management . Other than all that, the area is pretty, the condo was clean.

Air Conditioning

The control panel to the air conditioning didn't work and this wasn't resolved until our final day of our stay. The response was hugely disappointing.

It was lovely stay

The place was beautiful and clean. Well stocked with mostly anything you could need. The view was of the lake was beautiful. Our only issues were: 1. There were only 2 very small rolls of TP for 2 bathrooms and 5 women. 2. The Sea Colony required us to purchase full week badges for our 2 night stay. They did offer a discount rate and ignored the question when I asked via their direct email. For the weekend after labor day they charged $47 per person x 5 people that really added up. Especially for only 2nights.

Needs updated

The furniture is old, worn out and stained. We didn't even want to sit on most of it and had to cover it with sheets. We also found a dirty rolled up diaper in the one bedroom. This made us wonder how well they cleaned the house if they missed a dirty diaper. I would have expected better for the price.
