The Palm Ridge House is a beautifully restored 1936 historic retreat in the heart of West Palm Beach’s Flamingo Park neighborhood. This stylish 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom home and 1- bedroom, 1-bathroom cabana blends vintage charm, British Colonial style, modern comforts, a private cabana, lush gardens, and a heated pool option for a truly relaxing Palm Beach getaway.

Enjoy quiet mornings on the shaded veranda, sunny afternoons by the pool, and easy access to beaches, shopping, dining, museums, and downtown West Palm Beach.

The Space

Step inside Palm Ridge House and experience the character of a classic 1930s Florida home, thoughtfully updated for today’s traveler. Original architectural details, including the Dade County Pine cathedral ceiling and paneled reading room, give the home a warm sense of history, while comfortable furnishings and modern amenities make it easy to settle in. Please note the air conditioning section below for climate considerations during summer due to the historic nature of the home.

The main house features inviting living spaces, a spacious family room with a large-screen TV and surround sound, and a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with everything you need for meals at home, including cookware, blender, ice maker, and more.

The separate poolside cabana offers an additional bedroom and relaxing retreat space with light, beachy decor, mint green walls, and a queen-size sleeper sofa. The adjoining vintage-inspired bathroom includes a charming washbasin salvaged from The Breakers Hotel.

Outdoor Living

The private outdoor space is one of the highlights of Palm Ridge House. Spend the day relaxing around the 28-foot pool, lounging on the herringbone brick deck, enjoying a book on the shaded veranda, or sipping an evening drink in the garden.

Please note: There is no functioning hot tub. The pool does have a built-in spa-style area, but it is not connected to a separate hot tub heater and does not operate as a hot tub. The pool itself can be heated to 86°F for a daily charge, please inquire if you are interested in adding this on.

Good to Know

Pool Heating

The pool can be heated to 86°F for a daily charge. Please request pool heat in advance so the pool has time to reach temp prior to your arrival.

There is no functioning hot tub. While the pool has a built-in spa-style area, that area is not connected to a separate heater and does not operate as a hot tub.

Air Conditioning

Like many historic Florida homes, the air conditioning system may not always be able to cool the home more than approximately 15 degrees below the outdoor temperature during the hottest part of the day, expect around 76F. In the evening and overnight, the home typically cools down to the desired temperature, expect around 72F in the heat of summer. In the heat of the summer these temps feel more than comfortable!

We also recommend using the ceiling fans and provided floor fans in both the main house and cabana if you want a little cooler feeling.

The home’s air conditioning is remotely managed to prevent accidental system freeze-ups. Guests are welcome to message us with any comfort concerns during their stay.

Parking

Parking is limited to one vehicle in the driveway. Street parking is also available where permitted. Guests are responsible for following all posted parking rules. Any parking tickets, fines, or towing fees are the responsibility of the vehicle owner.

Smoking

Smoking is allowed outside only and please pick up after yourself should you smoke on the property.

Palm Ridge House is located in Flamingo Park, one of West Palm Beach’s most charming historic neighborhoods. Guests love the central location with easy access to downtown West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Island, local beaches, museums, restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, and the Brightline station.

Transportation & Nearby Airports

Palm Ridge House is located on a quiet, tree-lined street in West Palm Beach’s historic Flamingo Park neighborhood. On a pleasant day, the surrounding neighborhood is enjoyable to explore on foot or by bike, with downtown restaurants, coffee shops, museums, shopping, and entertainment only a short distance away.

A car or rideshare is the easiest option for trips to Palm Beach Island, Worth Avenue, the beach, airport, shopping centers, and attractions outside the immediate downtown area.

For shorter trips around downtown West Palm Beach, guests may also use Circuit, an app-based on-demand shuttle service supported by the Downtown Development Authority. Circuit currently operates daily from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Availability, fares, and service boundaries may vary, so guests should check the Circuit app for current information before requesting a ride.

The West Palm Beach Brightline station is approximately 5–7 minutes from the house and offers comfortable train service to Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Aventura, Miami, and Orlando. It is a convenient option for day trips or for traveling between South Florida cities without driving on the highway.

Security & Monitoring

For guest safety and property security, the home has exterior security cameras. Cameras monitor the front door, driveway, alley, and street areas only. Cameras do not face private indoor areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, or the backyard living space.

Exterior cameras record when motion is detected.

The home also has a noise monitoring system that measures decibel levels only. It does not record conversations. This helps us maintain a peaceful environment for guests and neighbors.

An occupancy detection device may notify the host if occupancy appears to exceed the reservation details.

Guest Responsibility

We are not responsible for accidents, injuries, illness, loss of personal belongings, or loss of valuables that occur on the property or its facilities. By booking, guests acknowledge that they are assuming the risk of using the home, pool, grounds, and amenities, including use by any guests or visitors they invite to the property.

- Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside the home and cabana. Smoking outdoors is permitted only in exterior areas. All cigarette butts and smoking materials must be safely extinguished and removed. Smoke, odor, burn or cleanup costs will be charged to Guest.
- Quiet hours 10 PM - 8 AM.
- A late check-out fee of $250 per hour applies for any unauthorized check-outs after 10:00 AM.
