Our cozy, charming vacation home is located in Svenstorp and is part of the municipality of Västra Torup. Here, you’ll be surrounded by stunning Swedish nature. The house sits on an unspoiled lot and is equipped with all the comforts you could wish for on your Swedish vacation. In addition to a cozy master bedroom with a 180-cm-wide box-spring bed, there are two small children’s rooms, each with a 120-cm-wide bed and a pull-out daybed (Hemnes) with a sleeping surface measuring 2x80 cm. You’ll need to bring your own bed linens and towels. A travel crib is available for families with small children.
From the hallway, you can access the master bedroom, the storage closet with a clothes dryer and all sorts of useful household items, the bathroom with a shower and washing machine, and the large living room with a comfortable seating area, a wood-burning stove, satellite TV with many German channels, and direct, open access to the spacious kitchen-diner with a dining area. There is plenty of room here for everyone. The kitchen is well-equipped, featuring a glass-ceramic cooktop, oven, microwave, toaster, waffle iron, fridge-freezer, electric kettle, espresso machine, hand blender, and a good selection of cookware, dishes, and silverware. The large living room opens directly onto the spacious, partially covered porch, which is furnished with lounge furniture and a seating area. From here, you have a beautiful view of the garden. The house also has high-speed internet (fiber-optic connection).

For families with small children, it may be important to note that the windows can only be tilted downward and cannot be opened all the way. (No risk of “falling out”). All exterior doors (4 in total) are lockable.

From the porch, you can spot birds, squirrels, hedgehogs, red deer, and sometimes even moose that venture into the gardens. The forest begins right behind the house, and the nearby swimming and fishing lake, Svenstorpsjön, is within walking distance (about 800 m). Svenstorpsjön is considered an insider’s tip among anglers (for carp and other species). There are also other larger lakes in the immediate vicinity of Svenstorp. After a successful catch, you can cook your catch on the outdoor grill. The shed contains a small selection of fishing gear, as well as another charcoal grill and a small assortment of children’s toys for the garden. The forest is a paradise for mushroom and berry pickers. You can start foraging right outside the property or simply enjoy the silence and fresh air on a walk through the woods.
The porch offers plenty of seating for rest and relaxation after a strenuous day trip or on a day of rest—perhaps an hour with a good book. From here, you also have a good view of the children playing in the garden. Please leave the house clean and tidy, as is customary in Sweden. This way, you won’t incur any additional cleaning fees.
