A quintessential summer in Maine awaits at this single-level cottage in Wells, a delightfully cozy and modern escape in the Belle of Maine Vacation Village. In this wonderful location, you'll have a view of the marsh from your front porch and easy walking access to restaurants, bakeries, and other in-town conveniences.

With Wells Beach just one mile east, you'll be able to easily come home in the afternoons to take a dip in the complex's saltwater pool and hot tub, get a barbecue going on one of the community grills, or simply bask in the home's central AC. Step inside to find a glassed-in porch where you can curl up with a good book and a contemporary living space that brings together the kitchen and the main sitting area. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, a two-person breakfast bar, and a view of the flatscreen TV (with cable and Netflix) on the wall. Additional amenities include a TV in each bedroom and free WiFi throughout.

Things to Know
The pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day, weather permitting. The pool is not heated.
There are two shared gas grills available to guests in the central area near the pool.
The shared washer/dryer is coin-operated.

Great Cottage

We had a wonderful week at Cottage 9. It was very quiet and occupants in the other cottages both owners and renters were friendly. The pool was wonderful especially for our 10 year old grandchild after a day of surf camp. The food options very close by were great.

Loved the cleanliness, board game box , ac unit cooled the whole place, plenty of towels for showers as well as pool. Great outdoor seating . Porch was great as well . Nice locals living in the complex . Very friendly . Pool and hot tub extremely clean . Also all within walking distance to eat . Road is busy so definitely use caution when crossing and walking . 10/10 five stars

Cute but not clean

Our stay was a mixed bag. The cabin is cute but we experienced a major cleanliness issue. This place could use a deep cleaning. It appeared our cabin was not cleaned between guests - dirty toilet, dirty floors, food all over kitchen and old coffee still in the machine. Additionally, we booked for 5 people and only had two towels. It took two full days to finally get the correct amount of towels delivered to us. Donna's support was great but highly disappointed by corporate Vacasa and VRBO for a lack of care considering how this place was, admittedly written in communication, below their standard.

Great getaway

Cute cottage, nice pool and hot tub. Also within walking distance to a few great restaurants. Loved it and hope to return next year!

Quiet, centrally located

Great little cottage in a classic vacation village. Beautifully renovated, everything is new and very clean. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need. Found out hot water for entire village comes from the same source so you have to let the hot water run for a bit before it gets hot. Front porch is lovely. Beds were a bit uncomfortable but the linens were fresh and crisp. Community was very quiet. Pool very clean, but since the listing stated the pool was closed as of Labor Day, we did not bring suits and couldn't enjoy it. Overall, we had a great time.

Lovely cottage

We had a wonderful stay here. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed for our vacation. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and dishware. There were plenty of towels and there were even beach chairs and umbrellas. The pool was a great option for days when we didn't go to the beach. There were food trucks and a donut place within walking distance and it was nice and quiet in the evenings. The only reason that I'm not giving the full five stars is because there was a terrible smell in the kitchen that we originally thought was coming from the refrigerator. We bought a few boxes of baking soda but came to the conclusion that it might be the result of the new cabinetry offgassing. We're really not sure, but regardless of the source of the problem, we had to keep the windows open at all times and also turn on the fan if we were going to be spending any amount of time in the kitchen or living room area. The smell was so bad that we all were nauseous if the windows were closed. I contacted the property manager and she was going to send maintenance out to have a look, but no one ever showed up. If not for the smell, this would have been a perfect place to stay.
