Perfect for a family

Came with children (ages 2-10) and my parents... this home was absolutely perfect for us. Everyone was comfortable and had all the amenities of home. It truly has a maine cottage feel and it was soo convenient to walk to the beach. We had a wonderful time.

Have stayed here for over ten years...

Very close to the beach and private yard . If you stay be warned you will need ant spray and expect to do some cleaning after checking in.

Getaway in York

Spacious cabin. Clean and comfortable. Perfect for a cost effective family vacation. Bathroom small and shower a bit dated. An easy walk to the southerly end of Long Sands beach.

Ok place - we arrived to light rain and 45F temps and no heat - puttered around and found all breakers got furnace, heat pumps etc were off. Engaged them and the heat came on. There sump pump or something the cycles every 5 mins - charges up for 5 seconds, slams off loudly .. this is every5 mins 24/7 - needs some work. Good location to York Beach. Pleasant owner

Great location, very clean

Cottage has a great location, you can walk to the beach easily. It was spacious and very clean. Great outdoor space with chairs and grill, as well as a rack for drying bathing suits and towels! They even left a tide chart on the fridge. The only constructive criticism I have is that the cottage can be hard to locate as the number is not clearly marked from the street. An easy fix would just be a simple sign that says “parking for [address]” in the parking area. I texted for help when I could not locate it and they promptly replied with clarified directions which was great. I would definitely stay here again!

the Trash

The only problem was that we did not know what to do with trash so we took it home with us -- we did reach out but all were super busy being a holiday weekend

The place is super cute! Lots of room to spread out and nice table for eating and games. Small table on deck and a few chairs on grass and another table, there’s room for outdoor lawn games and an easy walk to a quieter end of zaling Sands. Our stay was perfect and easy!!

Little privacy would of been nice

Cottage was cozy! Pics of cottage don’t show the double decker house in the side yard overlooking everything you do! I believe it was the owner but she never told us. She did watch everything we did with comments on a few things.

Adorable Spot Near the Ocean

The character of the Big Cottage was beautiful & perfect for our family getaway during the 4th of July! We enjoyed the town of York & being walking distance from the ocean. The cottage was very clean & comfortable in terms of space for the 6 of us. Being pet-friendly would allow us to come back more often, but we were very pleased with our stay!
