We had a wonderful time. It was myself and 3 sisters celebrating mine and my twins 50th birthday. The house was as advertised. It was clean and welcoming. I would definitely stsy again in the future with family. Communicating with the host,Paul, was great.

The Host was super responsive. The property was incredibly charming with lots of space. The standout feature was the Victorian porch equipped for relaxing in the ocean air. The dining table was a wonderful place for us to enjoy our meals. Kitchen was stocked with cooking pots and utensils. Located central to all beaches and shops. A perfect vacation spot for the whole family!

Absolutely loved this house! We’ve rented houses in York since I was young and never have stayed in a house like this! It fit our families, total of 9 and our dog perfectly. SO much space for everyone to spread out. The deck was just as amazing!! We spent a LOT of time on it.Cape Neddick beach was just a short walk and a super nice low key clean beach. Despite the house having no AC, they had many fans and we had no problem with the house and rooms staying cool during the day and at night. That nice ocean breeze comes through the windows wonderfully! Nice little small back yard area and parking for 4 vehicles, which is rare for York rentals!The host was very communicative and super nice!We would definitely stay here again!

We loved the huge porch, Victorian feeling, and the closeness to the beach and shops. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great beach home for vacation

Fantastic old style beach home. Large rooms, expansive deck and perfect location. Great for a large family or group. Kept very nicely, nice off street parking.

Al and his family were great guests! I didn't even know they were there. The place was immaculate. They are welcome back anytime. Highly recommend Al and his family as guests.

Beautiful property and beautiful location. Host was quick and thorough with responses. My party was comfortable in the bedrooms and were able to find everything that we needed.

Great summer house!

We had a great time visiting this place. With 5 bedrooms, it is ideal for a large group. The house is 10 minutes walk to York’s beach. It has everything needed. Would go again next year!

We loved our stay in this Victorian home. The home was even nicer than the photos showed Perfect location right near the water. Also great restaurant right across the street. Recommend A++++++

Awesome stay!

We were a group of 9 friends that stayed at Paul’s house and we had a great time! The house is big enough for everyone, very clean and close to everything you need. Would definitely go back and recommend to anyone! Paul is a great host who was available, kind and flexible.

Grandma's House

A fun, funky old building. Worked fine for 5 women, each with their own room and bed. Would have appreciated hand soap at the sinks and coffee filters.

This is a great old house with so much character! She has signs of wear and tear, but that is easy to overlook due to all of her charm. Lots of rooms, great location, a wonderful wrap around porch, and very communicative owner. We booked at the last minute due to weather issues at our original location in SC, and Paul could not have been more accommodating. There are a lot of stairs, so do keep that in mind. The cove at the end of the street is so lovely. My husband and I enjoyed sunrise and star gazing from the 3rd floor bedroom. Great place!

Girls weekend

This was such a beautiful older home with so much history! Every where you looked it told a story. There were four us, each having our own room. We absolutely will go back. Thank you Paul for having us. Truly a hidden gem.

Great Stay in York

We had a wonderful time at Paul's home. Large enough to gather other family members in the area and a great porch! We had a huge storm come through on Friday night and lost power but Paul contacted us right away and brought over candles and a flashlight. Thankfully it was restored in a few hours. Convenient, walking distance to town and to the beach just north of the house. We would happily stay there again!

Sisters reunion

I am so glad we picked this property for a vacation with my five sisters.the house was very comfortable and the wrap around porch was the best place to spend time with my sisters. Beautiful home. With six ladies staying in the house the three bathrooms came in handy. So much in the area to see. Loved the seafood restaurant across the street. I emailed the host Paul a few times with some questions and he got right back to us. Thank you for a great vacation. Would love to rent again next year. Deb

Murder She Wrote

The house reminded us of the set of Murder She Wrote, replete with fine antiques, vintage artwork, and beautiful woodwork. The house had a mysterious vibe and mystery of days of yore. Lots of stairs if you are concerned for youngsters or elderly. The kitchen is tiny, but adequate. Loved the dining room.The beds were good, but we had to hunt for linens. The lights flickered a lot. We contacted the owner and he responded.

Mothball House

We had to vacate the property after one night because the cellar was filled with open bags of mothballs. We arrived around 5:30 pm in the pouring rain otherwise we would have left immediately. The toxic fumes were seeping through the vents. Several of my friends had to use their inhalers to get through the night. The host said he could resolve the problem by removing the mothballs. There is no way the fumes could be eliminated. My friends said many of the glasses in the butlers pantry were filthy dirty. I would not recommend this house to anybody.

Well Past its Prime

We arrived early and the host let us in at noon. The experience went down quickly from there. The old house had been cleaned, but we found it to be run down and not well maintained. The outside needs to be scraped/painted badly and the roof needs to be replaced. Plastic was placed over the TV room addition. All of the windows and doors have issues of one sort or another. There are also issues with peeling wallpaper, paint, drywall and plaster. To top it off, we found spiders and earwigs in the bathrooms as well as a couple of friendly mice on the main level. We sprayed the baths, and the host sent someone for the mice. If you plan on sitting on the porch and having quiet time, it will not happen as you are on a very busy intersection with lots of traffic and noise. Despite all of the above, we still had a good time and made the best of the bad environment. It is a short walk to the beach and across the street from a little restaurant. Our summary... This house needs to be removed from Vrbo and renovated!!!

This wonderful house is perfect for a family and friends to stay. On the main floor you have your kitchen a smaller special storage area for your coffee ,Keurig and toaster that is located between kitchen and great dinning room . Off the one side of the dinning room you have a casual living room with tv and a great restroom with shower and on the other side you had the formal living room with tv and both living rooms have exited to the wrap around porch. On the second floor you have 4 bedrooms with good size bathroom with shower and rooms and very comfy beds .on the 3 rd floor you have your king beds with a door opening to a balcony overlocking the ocean. You also have a larger bathroom with a tub sink and toilet and washer and dryer. The temperature was always perfect inside the house we were a party of 7 and never ran out of hot water.though to me personally the best part of this stay was Paul he was always happy to help and a very kind person. I felt I could contact him at anytime I had any questions. Would decently stay at this location again. Thank you Paul for making staying at your location so welcoming.
