The door combination was a little challenging to input to gain access to the house. And we couldn't get the lock box to work for us.The upstairs powder room and the downstairs toilets leaked a little. Overall, we really loved the property and its location. We found it very comfortable.

Cozy Mountain home close to everything you need!

The deck is wonderful. House is cozy with plenty of room in kitchen, living room and dining area. Great place to enjoy time with family and or friends.

We chose this property due to the location in the river and proximity to Aspen. Being able to walk across the bridge to the shops and restaurants was great and an added bonus. The kitchen is a little outdated, but it kind of adds to the charm of the house. We enjoyed sitting on the patio listening to the river. We would stay here again for sure.

Don’t bypass Basalt

Pleasant town and all walking distant from the house. Right on the Frying Pan River and very relaxing. Would certainly recommend and great for our group of 10.

Beautiful, cozy cabin.

Family loved it… there were a few spiders but that was expected due to area. Loved being by the stream, loved everything about it. I highly recommend.

Perfect Fall Family Event

We had a lovely time at Swinging Bridge House this last week of September. With 8 adults and 2 toddlers we had plenty of space for a comfortable stay. The back deck next to the river was a favorite gathering spot.

Perfect Get Away

We really enjoyed this house. It is in a perfect location to walk around town and get to Glenwood or Aspen easily. The house is clean and well equipped for everyone. We had an infant and four teenagers and the house was great for everyone. Looking forward to staying here again.

Labor Day Weekend & Week

This house is cozy. The location is right on the Frying Pan River. We could sit on the back deck and enjoy watching and hearing the river. I could fish from the bank of the river. The neighborhood is quiet. Overall our stay was lovely.

Swinging Bridge Weekend

The home was clean and comfortable and provided more than enough room for the 6 adults and 1 infant. Right across the river from downtown, you have easy walking access across the river on "a swinging bridge" in the corner of the cul de sac. Good communication with Sarah prior to arriving. Would stay there again if available.

More Than A Babbling Brook

The sounds of the river just feet away from the A frame cabin was such a pleasure to listen to. The cabin is rustic and we felt like we were glamping more than staying in someone's home. There was plenty of room for 10 people and the location was great . The center of town is only a "swinging bridge " away. Aspen is about a 20 min. ride . Hanging Lake and Maroon Bells are easily visited from this location.

Overall Good Property

The property itself is very nice with a great location. However, if you’re expecting a well stocked home you can look elsewhere. There was hardly any toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, etc. Pots and pans were very old. Many light bulbs were burnt out. Maybe I’m being too harsh but these are small things I expect to not have to deal with while on vacation.

We are following up with housekeeping to ensure the home is fully stocked and light bulbs attended to. We are also working with the owner to purchase a new cookware set. Please note we stock the house with an initial supply of items such as toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap, and dish soap. The initial supply is enough for most guests, but depending on your needs, it might be helpful to bring extra. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope to have another chance to impress you.

Lovely on the River

The property and the home were as described and loved it. Especially being right on the river and walking distance to the downtown area. Enough amentities, well stocked. I would stay again. Just have one complaint and a few suggestions for the property owners. 1. Complaint is that when we booked looking on VRBOwe did not realize that both VRBO and VASCAR charged fees. The fees were high for VASCAR and to be hit with another $227 for VRBO with out our knowledge was not good customer service. Didn’t get a receipt or email just a charge on my credit card Our suggestions are: 1. Need to switch out the front lock. Difficult to lock when we left. The mattress in the small bedroom up stairs was old and uncomfortable. Felt more like a sofa bed mattress. Everything else in home was, very good. Thank you Camille Zapolsky

NO HEAT IN HOUSE!!

5 adults all over 55 came off the river very cold and in need of a warm place. The pilot light for the heater was not lit and would not light. Went back and forth with rep about when it could be fixed and finally had to find other accommodations. We were actually gathered around the oven trying to warm ourselves before leaving. We have done this trip twice a year for many years and this would have been the second time to use this house. But after what we went through, we will never again use VRBO. I must say that the, I believe the Vacasa manager, not the immediate person I delt with to correct this problem was outstanding. She followed up with me and agreed that we should be refunded. We were refunded what I was told was all that she had control of. Out of the $1,534.97 spent I was only refunded $1,006.79. VRBO would not help in any way and not only were we left with a bill of $528.18 for trying to warm up in front of an oven for a few hours. It was a nightmare dealing with VRBO!! We all travel both nationally and internationally and will not use VRBO in the future after this experience!!!!

Less expensive option than Aspen

We hosted extended family for a weekend wedding in Aspen. Everyone had room to spread out and spent time together on back deck. Given the congestion of Aspen, we were happy to return to Basalt at the end of the day. We also enjoyed hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing and white water rafting
