OUR MAUI BEACH HOUSE... (Please read our Guest Comments to see how great this place is!) This is the perfect place for a family vacation and retreat!! And it is right on the beach! Many of our guests enjoy staying right on our property or on our beach -- no need to leave.

SOLAR POWERED: Most all of the energy required to run our home comes from the fabulous Maui sun and the solar panels on our roof.

LOCATION: Right on a sandy Kihei beach, four miles north of Wailea. Walk just a few steps from the living room and deck to the lawn and sandy beach. Enjoy long walks on our sandy beach. Spectacular ocean views and sunsets from the living room, deck, and master bedroom - views of Lanai, Kahoolawe, Molokini, and West Maui. Kayak in front of the house to see the turtles!

DESCRIPTION: A large (1,250 square feet!!) two bedroom, three bath custom redwood townhouse which we built in 1977 as a family retreat --with a fully-equipped kitchen and laundry. This is a comfortable beach house and we have done remodeling, refurnishing and updating recently. The master bedroom has a king bed, the second bedroom has twin beds and a queen bed. The duplex is on three separate levels, each with its own private bathroom. The adjoining townhouse is the only other unit on the property, and is also available for rent for larger groups.

BEACH: A sandy beach with calm, reef protected waters. The living room and master bedroom have spectacular views of the beach, ocean, whales, West Maui, and sunsets.

GOLF: Maui Nui Golf Club is three blocks away, Wailea’s famous golf courses are four miles away, and all of Maui’s other courses are within easy driving distance.

TENNIS: Public courts are a few blocks away in either direction, more are nearby.

SNORKELING, SURFING, PADDLE SURFING and WINDSURFING: Beyond the reef right in front of the house, and at any of several nearby beaches. Maui Dive Shop is one block. Rig up on the front lawn and sail right from the beach.

SWIMMING POOL: Kihei Aquatic Center is two blocks away.

SHOPPING: One block away: restaurants, grocery store, post office, banks, bakery, etc.

CLEANING: The unit is professionally cleaned and prepared before your arrival.

We loved our time at this home in Maui! The home is exactly as shown online and very clean. Both the owners and property manager were fantastic to work with. Both were very responsive and helpful! The owner was in communication with us leading up to our trip with lots of great suggestions for local activities and restaurants which was greatly appreciated! We are already looking forward to our next trip to Hawaii and would love to stay here again!

Beachfront property on Maui

Beautiful beachfront experience with amazing sunset views and very walkable. Stores and restaurants within walking distance. It was perfect for our family of five! Doug and Marti were great hosts. Mahalo! We will be back!

Heaven on Earth

Our experience at this house and with Doug and Marti was top notch right from the beginning. The communication with the house was fantastic all the way through, and the house was even better than we expected. It is everything described and even more! If we ever come back to Maui, we would arrange our trip around the availability of this property. I truly can’t explain how wonderful of a time we had here. It is the perfect place to stay at Maui.

Amazing property

We loved our stay! Beds were comfortable, house was exactly as described, communication with the manager was excellent! The beach is right over the the grass hill and the sand was so soft! Easy entry to the water if you want to swim or rent paddle boards. We had a great stay!

Great location and property!

Doug was extremely communicative throughout the entire experience. The location of the unit is right on a quiet beach in Kihei and only minutes away from restaurants and restaurants, while still tucked away and private. Would recommend this property for anyone looking for a nice peaceful stay in Maui!

Gorgeous spot

Beautiful spot, lovely sunsets and stars, shopping and swimming facilities near by, great communications by owner. It's a small rustic place in a lovely place. Property itself was a three star experience in a 5 star location - also note that the garden you see in the photos is open to the public.

Perfect stay in a beautiful house

Third stay at this property and does not disappoint! Access to beach right out front! Turtles, whale watching, swimming, paddleboarding right from the shore. Easy walking to grocery store and restaurant's. Already booking next year!

Gorgeous views

Our view from the home was incredible. Each morning we were greeted with a slight breeze and blue skies. We toasted each evening's sunset with champagne and enjoyed the ocean view from the patio.

Piece of Paradise

We loved our stay here - the home is cozy and the views are amazing. We enjoyed paddleboarding with turtles and seeing them not only on the beach and in the water but from the house as well. The owner and property manager were great and responsive, the home is older, but very well kept and clean. Absolutely would stay here again! No AC, but open windows and fans cooled the place down nicely, especially at night. Would highly recommend!

Amazing spot!

We are so happy staying at Doug's house in Kihei... The location is great, the house itself is comfortable, and communication with Doug and Marti (the property manager) was excellent. I 100% recommend staying here! Waking up every morning to the sound of the ocean and seeing the palm trees swaying in the wind was a true dream come true.

Perfect piece of Paradise

Beautiful home on a beach that felt very private. Watched sea turtles and sunsets on the beach right in front of the house. Had everything that we needed at the house, including beach chairs. Was a couple block walk to the grocery store and restaurants. Perfect house in the perfect location! The host was very quick to respond to any questions that we had. Would definitely stay again!

This property delivered on all of the promises of the listing. The location offered great privacy, sunsets, and access to food and shops within walking distance. It was well equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen and for the beach. Nice architecture and construction. Great communication from the host. I highly recommend it!

Spectacular Sunsets!!!!

If you are looking for places to stay in Kihei, Maui look no further!!! This townhouse is truly amazing. It has a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, beautiful lanai, rolling lawn right to the beach which you feel is your own. I can't say enough good things about this property, except we didnt want to leave. Also there is a supermarket literally a 3min walk, plus lots of restaurants. Thank you again Doug for sharing your beautiful home with us.

What a dream!! Loved everything about this home. The home itself has that 70s vintage Hawaiian vibe (that I absolutely love), the breeze throughout was wonderful, the sunrise and sunsets from the deck incredible. Amazing Trip

We had an amazing time. The house is very much as described. Beautiful sunsets right out the back door. The beach is located right over the sand dune - and even though it's not actually a private beach - because of the location, it almost seems that way. We had one issue with the dryer that was taken care of immediately! Great place, great time, great hosts! Thanks Doug!

could not be better

Everything is even nicer then in the pictures. beach is ok for small kids, waves don't get to high and its not very deep Sea turtles at night are awesome! grocery/liquor store just a block away house was very clean and spacious the lawn by the back deck was perfect for kids to play ball (we actually played Coconut catch) island just like every other tropical island has homeless people, but they didn't bother us at all! Thanks Doug Martynas and Vilma

Wonderful location, older house

This is a fabulous location with beach access a short walk across a front lawn with palm trees. The house is older, with great architecture, but darker wood paneling and the lack of good lighting make it near-impossible to read at night. Kitchen appliances are dated and problematic (dishwasher doesn't close properly, ice maker doesn't work ).

Magical

I highly recommend this VRBO!! It is absolutely magical!! We absolutely loved our stay! The home is exactly as described in the listing. When you're on the property, it feels like you're in a cabin on a private beach. It's so quiet and comfortable that even an extreme type A like me couldn't help but relax. The beach is at the end of the backyard and while the beach is public, it is not crowded. We were able to set up the chairs and umbrella available at the house everyday with lots of room around us. We cooked dinner at the home several evenings, ate on the back deck and watched the sunset. We watched whales and turtles from the deck and beach every day and night. Besides being right on the beach, the location is perfect. Everything you could want is in Kihei, grocery stores, great restaurants, clothes and gift shops. Everything else is a short drive away.
