Just 400 m from Tremter Natural Beach!
The completely new one-room bungalow “Hühnergott” underwent a complete renovation through September 2024; everything except the walls has been replaced.
This tiny house, featuring real wood siding and a spacious larch-wood veranda, faces west and has a total living area of 32 m², of which approximately 25 m² is indoor space and a spacious covered veranda with 15 m² of usable area (counted as half).
The solid-wood porch is sheltered from the wind, furnished, and equipped with movable wooden shutters on both the right and left sides.
A private garden area of approximately 50 m² is available, and a parking space is located directly next to the building. The bungalow is located on our private property (3,400 m²) which includes a two-family home where we live and another vacation rental. The property is completely secured with a 1.60-meter-high fence.
All furniture and furnishings, etc., are new; the walls and roof are insulated, and the windows are triple-glazed; the rental period begins in September 2024.
The TV is swivel-mounted and can be viewed from the bed, sofa, or kitchen, as desired. All windows have pleated blinds, and two of them have fly screens. The kitchen has everything you could want and is well-equipped with dishes, pots, cutlery, a coffee maker, toaster, egg cooker, kettle, refrigerator, stovetop, and a hot-air fryer, among other things. The double bed (1.60 m) is made of solid oak (with a new mattress and slatted frame) and features real larch wood paneling for a comfortable sleeping environment.
The bathroom has been newly tiled and is comfortably furnished with a 90-cm shower.
We live on the property and are happy to assist you with any questions or tips.

Location:
Are you looking for peace, relaxation, fresh Baltic Sea air, and the great outdoors? Just 400 meters from the very shallow, sandy natural beach (ideal for children and dogs) with a view of Rügen, our vacation apartment is located in Hof Gronow, in a perfect spot between Stralsund and Greifswald. At the junction of the Strelasund and the Greifswalder Bodden lies the coastal hiking trail in the nature reserve, offering a magnificent view across the Bodden toward Rügen. Here, you can observe the many waterbirds that nest there year-round, such as gulls, swans, coots, terns, and especially the popular migratory birds—the gray goose and the famous Grus Grus (cranes). In bad weather, you can reach all the amenities and recreational opportunities in the cities much more easily and quickly from here than from Rügen!
A free boat ramp for recreational and fishing boats is available right on Tremter Beach; it’s a paradise for dog owners, water sports enthusiasts (kitesurfers, surfers, and stand-up paddlers), anglers (garfish, zander, herring, and more), hikers, those seeking peace and quiet, and cyclists. Stahlbrode is about 4 km away via the Boddenweg (heading north); there you’ll find restaurants, a fish shop at the harbor, and a boat rental service in the small marina. Gristow is about 4.5 km away via the Boddenweg (heading south through the forest); there you’ll find a small village store with a post office and a good seafood restaurant in the small harbor (about 4.8 km). By car ferry from Stahlbrode (approx. 6.5 km by car), you can reach Rügen with its wide, fine-sand beaches in the large seaside resorts or hidden gems like Palmer Ort (across from Tremter Beach on Rügen). The drive to the seaside resort of Lubmin takes about 35 minutes.
By car, you can reach the full range of amenities in Pomerania’s oldest city, the Hanseatic city of Stralsund (about 20 minutes): medieval city center, Ozeaneum, maritime museum, zoo, theater, doctors, and shopping centers. Or, in about 15 minutes, you can reach the university and Hanseatic city of Greifswald with its famous medieval market square and city harbor on the Ryck River, the beach resort and monastery ruins in Eldena, the theater, the zoo, and a full range of amenities.
It takes about 1 hour to drive to Usedom or the Fischland-Darss-Zingst peninsula.
Other destinations: Marlow Bird Park (approx. 65 km), the Störtebeker Festival in Ralswiek (55 km), Hiddensee Island (by ferry from Schaprode, for example), and Karl’s Adventure Villages (e.g., in Zirkow, approx. 55 km).
Nearest shopping options in Gristow (approx. 6 km, village store), Reinberg (approx. 4 km, doctor, bank), Neuenkirchen (approx. 12 km: supermarkets, home improvement store, drugstore, hair salon, ATM, post office, etc.). or Brandshagen (approx. 10 km, supermarket).
Nearest train station in Miltzow (approx. 7 km) or Jeeser (approx. 6 km), with ICE connections in Stralsund or Greifswald.
