Harlingen is a picturesque harbor town just 14 km away. In this city you can enjoy a day at the beach or do some good shopping and visit the town hall, the lighthouse and the Zuiderhaven. In Harlingen the ferry runs to the islands of Terschelling and Vlieland, which are definitely worth a visit.
