Located in a very sunny spot on Salt Spring Island, broad ocean vista beckons guests to the sunny deck.
We operate as a private home-based B&B in accordance with the local zoning and bylaws of Salt Spring Island. Respecting the privacy of our guests is important to us.

About the house... You will be enjoying the main portion of the house which cascades down the hillside, the house will comfortably accommodate up to six guests in the three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, ocean and forest views and an en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen size bed with a beautiful ocean view. The third bedroom has a single bed and a double bed in a loft accessed by ladder. The main bathroom is marble and tile, with a soaker tub, separate glass shower and double vanity.

Skylights provide bright natural light to the living area, along with a full wall of windows and french doors onto the patio looking towards the ocean and Vancouver Island. There are cozy couches, a wood burning fireplace, a large screen TV with wifi throughout the house. A recently installed heat pump provides warmth or air conditioning as needed.

All the amenities are in place for creating your own culinary masterpieces or charcuterie with wine on the patio. The galley and laundry are all yours to use.

It is a 15 minute walk down to Baker Beach for a morning stretch or an evening walk after supper. A short 5 minute drive to Vesuvius beach for an afternoon swim or sunset dinner on the patio of Seaside restaurant. The village of Ganges is about 7 minutes drive.

The uniqueness of this hillside home includes stairs and a loft bed with a ladder. This layout is not not suited for young children or anyone with mobility challenges. Guests required to be over 10. Pets are not allowed.

Discount for Weekly Stays - 7 days

The owners reside in the home's separate lower suite with our in/out cat, Teddy.

Wonderful House

Stayed over the May long weekend. The Hosts were wonderful and accommodating. The communication with the hosts during our stay was easy and they responded quickly to any of our questions. The check-in/check-out process is great.The house is really lovely. It is a good size and It has all the kitchen items you need to make meals. The beds are comfy and the loft bed is pretty cool! There is a great view from the balcony on a sunny day. It is in a very quiet area, great for peaceful getaways. I would absolutely stay here again, next time I visit Salt Spring.

Fabulous

This house was fabulous. A beautiful view of the ocean and Vancouver island from the house and deck. Everything was super clean and in good shape. Two newly remodeled bathrooms were absolutely stunning. The kitchen had everything we needed and we cooked most all our meals there. On our visit we were two couples and the house is nicely set up for that. The deck had lots of comfortable chairs and two tables. We hiked down to the ocean from the house as well as lots of island hikes. The hosts were super nice and responsive. Every window in the house was sparkling clean. Quick drive into town. I would plan to come back for sure.

Casual Luxury

This was our first VRBO. We normally stay at hotels/resorts. Our experience with this rental was wonderful. Perfect for a relaxing time on Salt Spring Island. The house has a million dollar view and takes full advantage of it from almost every room. Add to that a large deck to enjoy a morning read with coffee or a before dinner glass of wine. This house surpassed our expectations and made a visit to Salt Spring Island one of our best times.

View home on Salt Spring Island

This home was perfect place to relax after our days of kayaking and sailing. We were a short drive to the market and restaurants but still felt like we had the quiet of the countryside. The best part of this home is the deck adjacent to the living room. The sunset views were beautiful!

Beautiful tranquility and awesome views

This property is nicer then it shows if that's possible. The owners were very thoughtful. They knew we were coming for a funeral and the flowers and greeting card they left held a very sweet message. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. My adult children loved it too!

Salt Spring get away

This property is just perfect. The location on the island is great and the view is wonderful . The sky and vista change every day. The welcome is fantastic, we arrived on a dark rainy evening and Brad had lit a lovely fire and carefully showed us around. Flowers and a welcome card greeted us The house is immaculately maintained and everything you need to have a great getaway is here.

Can't recommend enough!

The only thing better than the amazing location on a hillside overlooking the sea, is the hospitality of the owners. Brad and Rhonda are incredibly thoughtful, and made sure that every aspect of the guest experience was taken care of. The house is even better than it looks in photos. It's cozy and extremely clean. Although it is situated in a quiet, rural location, it's a less than 10 min drive to town (Ganges). I recommend staying here without reservations. We hope to come back for another stay!

Fabulous vacation

My sister and I had a wonderful time on Saltspring Island and Brad and Rhonda‘s home was perfect! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. From coffee in the morning on their deck looking at the amazing view to the most comfortable beds. Everything was so luxurious and at the same time so comfortable. It was a bit chilly on one of our evenings and Rhonda came up and made a fire for us. I would highly recommend their beautiful home and will definitely stay there again!

Perfect getaway

The house was very nice and the views are hard to beat. It’s a great location for a quiet and peaceful trip. Very clean and the hosts thought of every little detail - from an organized kitchen that was fully stocked with all the staples, to a wood fire place with kindling and firewood, to a towel heating rack in the bathroom. The hosts, Brad and Rhonda, were very friendly, accommodating and very easy to communicate with. Highly recommend and would return again soon!

Everything we hoped for and more

This place exceeded our expectations, it was a big place, we didn't use all the rooms, as there were only two of us. The owner's Brad and Ronda seemed to think of everything. It seems like you're out in nature, close to hiking trails, and a great view. It is also a short drive into town. We loved it and hope to visit again.

Great view

This was a wonderful location to enjoy Salt Spring with family (5 adults). It was quite, beautiful, with lots of thoughtful touches. The view from the porch was as advertized, hosts welcoming and helpful. Would return.

Incredible home to enjoy!

Our family’s. experience with the hosts could not have been better. They had put attention to detail in all aspects of their home. The home was spotless with amazing ‘touches’ around the house added to our stay. We all enjoyed the newly renovated bathrooms with great products to indulge in. The balcony that wraps around the property soon became our favourite spot to enjoy the views and nature of the Island. This home was equipped with absolutely everything our family could need and more. Great Island get away. Our family’s experience was fabulous!

I have been a Salt Springer for 25+ years. Rhonda and I spend our downtime kitesurfing. We enjoy being able to offer the main portion of the house with others wanting to explore Salt Spring Island. It is rewarding to meet our guests from near and far, offering our home as a quiet, relaxing retreat.

Over the years, I have lived in a few different places on the island, including a neighboring house near this one. The view here, combined with how much sun this location receives, is why I chose this location.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

This west coast cedar home was creatively designed to suit the property's topography, beautiful ocean view and sunny southwest exposure. The house has 3 levels which cascade down the hill landscape to capture the sunshine and the view! Just under an acre, the location is private and quietly surrounded by nature in one of the few year-round sunny locations on Salt Spring Island. We very much enjoy our location here and hope our guests will too.
