Spacious modern log home -short drives to Loon mountain and Waterville valley.

This spacious log home has four bedrooms as well as a separate studio apartment (with two bedrooms). Sleeps twelve people in total. It boasts amazing views of Mill Brook river. Large downstairs basement that opens up into outdoor space and sitting area. You can hear the river flow when sitting outside.

The home as a garage that fits two cars, a hot tub, outdoor firepit and a wood stove as well as a brand new gourmet kitchen, pantry and brand new bathrooms. Sheets and towels are provided. All furniture is brand new. Washer and dryer available.

There is a mud room as you enter to store your ski equipment, and an entry area to get all your ski gear on before your day on the mountain. There is a tv that can be used outdoors and watched while in the hot tub.

We are strict on noise and parties and we don't allow events or smoking. No music on the deck after 10 pm.

We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful home as we were attending a wedding at Owl's Nest, which is just 10 minutes away. The home as perfect for our family of 9, which included an infant. There is the equivalent of an in-law apartment in the house that was perfect for the baby/parents, and all of the additional beds and rooms allowed the rest of us to spread out. There is plenty of room to spread out, such as the deck, the huge porch, and the amazing basement, which had plenty to keep everyone entertained (pool table, massage chair, hockey game). The kitchen is fully stacked and the appliances are top-end. An added bonus is that the house is surrounded by mountains and rivers that give you plenty of options for hikes and outdoor activity. This home is a true gem and worth every penny.

Graduation weekend

We had a group of extended family come for graduation weekend. The house was perfect for all our guests. The rain thwarted our outdoor, on campus, lunch plans and we were able to have our whole group over for lunch with plenty of room and beautiful views.

Great Winter getaway

The house, especially the great room was stunning. It was very spacious, open and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the game room on the basement level and everyone took advantage of the massage chair. An added bonus were the heated floors on the main level. It was quite the treat after our snowy outdoor activities. The property was close to all of the attractions we planned to do. Although we couldn’t enjoy the back deck and fire pit because the weather I can imagine how serene it would be in warmer weather. We all enjoyed our stay.

Great Property!

The property was as advertised, and Kevin made the check in seamless! The house was clean and the linens and furnishings were very comfortable! The kitchen was stocked with all of the pans we could have needed! I would absolutely return to this very well maintained home again!

Annual friends gathering

The house was perfect for our every need. The spacious main floor with kitchen and sitting area was more than big enough for all of us. Downstairs with the games and massage chair was a big hit. Fire pit out back as well. We hope to be back same time next year. Thanks Aaron

Motorcycle trip

This property was an excellent place for our group whom was touring the White Mountains on street bikes. Wonderful kitchen area that accommodated our love for cooking and we really enjoyed the screened in porch area. Stunning Master bed / bath and great rooms for the rest of our group. The layout offers a nice selection for various taste. Communication with the property owners was prompt and issues were addressed immediately. Would recommend to others.

Nice location but issues with house.

The house is large and conveniently located with a nice view overlooking the river. The house is nicer than the photos. There were also ample spices, condiments, etc. Unfortunately the negative outweighed the positive. The floors were filthy. Everyone in our group of 12 had blackened feet from walking inside the house. This dirtiness extended to the enclosed porch and the hot tub, which was covered in pollen and dirt. While we didn't expect curtains (the house is in the woods), we did expect privacy in the bathrooms. Unfortunately, there was no curtain on the unfrosted window in the master bath, which looks out at the hot tub. We hung a towel, but it wasn't large enough to cover the window. The bathroom above the garage doesn't have a curtain and looks across to a bedroom in house, also no curtain. Awkward. We struggled to cool the house. Eventually, we realized the ceiling fans were rotating backwards. It took us a half hour to find the remotes - one was in a different room and one was buried in a drawer. The batteries in both were dead (we obtained replacements). With the fans working, the house was much cooler. The biggest issue was that when we woke up the second day there was no hot water. We contacted the owners, and they responded a couple hours later to let us know that no one could come because it was a holiday. Later they told us someone was indeed coming. When we returned later, it still was not fixed so we called the owners and emailed for a status. We received no response and tried both again later. No response. They emailed the next day (no phone calls were returned). Quote: "We’re doing everything we can but it was July 4th yesterday and no one was open and we were hosting people and couldn’t check our phone constantly. I’ve been calling hot water companies but don’t have a timeframe." While we know that getting a repairman on a holiday is hard, we expected better communication. We too were entertaining guests at the house we were paying them to rent, and this note implied that the owners' holiday was more important than addressing the needs of their customers. After 24 hours with no hot water, the issue was fixed. In short, we felt that the owners didn't care much about ensuring a positive experience for guests. Problems can occur, and owners should be prepared to manage these issues. Basic levels of cleanliness and privacy should also be maintained. Without these issues, it would have been a great vacation home.

Great house and plenty of room. We rented this home for our 30th annual motorcycle riding trip and this house afforded us the six separate sleeping areas we were looking for. All bedrooms are air conditioned and comfortable and the screened-in porch is a great addition to enjoy the cool nights outside without bugs!! The owner of the home was super easy to work with.

The house was beautiful and very clean! The space the house provided was perfect for our group. There were a few little issues but Michelle was super responsive and things were dealt with very promptly! I would highly recommend this property!

Summer hiking trip with family

Location was great to get to many hiking options in Franconia. Turns out it was one of the hottest times in August. The house does not have central air conditioning and the great room with all windows did not have any shades thus the sun shone through all day keeping the main part of the house very warm. There should be floor tower fans for the bedrooms during the summer. I believe the listing says air conditioning, the owner pointed out it was only separate wall unit for master bedroom and studio. Said to keep blinds closed, but most of the windows do not have blinds. The owner responded quickly through texting as there were a couple issues. Owner was able to replace one window screen while we were there and fix one leaking shower stall. The studio apt had missing screens as well. I told property manager so he could replace for the next renters. Our family enjoyed our time together and the size of the house worked for us. The grill worked well, and the deck had a great view.

Not ready for summer!

Michelle, We arrived last Saturday and were all in disbelief about the setup and layout of the house. It is very impressive. That being said, saying that we were disappointed with our stay is an understatement. We were counting on the six bedrooms being “usable” during our stay. We had 3 infants with us as well as a 3,4 and 7 year old. We were led to believe that the house had “central air conditioning”. Unfortunately the air conditioning was 3 mini split units in the master and two bedrooms above the garage and central air in the basement. The entire second floor was well above 80 degrees for the length of our stay and no one could sleep up there. By the end of the week, even the main floor temperature was overwhelming and we all had to go to the basement. That may be fine in the winter, but during a heat wave in the summer, those conditions are not ok. If we had been aware of those conditions ahead of time we certainly would not have rented the house. Also, we found out that the upstairs bathroom was leaking down into the kitchen when there was water on the kitchen floor AND we found out it was being fixed when a “handyman” showed up at the front door on Monday and announced that he was there to fix the bathroom. At the time, the husbands were out of the house and there were 4 ladies with 6 kids there when he arrived. Just a heads up would have been nice. What if we had not been home when he showed up, would he have gone into they house with all of our stuff there? The only dresser in the studio apartment above the garage was falling apart. One drawer didn’t even have a bottom and two of them didn’t slide correctly. I was very concerned about my kiddos fingers getting hurt. Almost none of the electrical outlets up there had face plates on them and that was disappointing as well as a safety issue for our young children. When we tried to get in touch with the owner, it took an extended period of time to get a response if at we got a response at all. While I certainly understand that people have jobs and lives, more timely communication would be appreciated.

Spacious oasis in the mountains

If you’re looking for a place where you can sleep multiple families and have plenty of space to spread out, look no further. We were able to put the kids to bed and have cocktails with the adults in the common area without disturbing them. There are many amenity options like fire pit, bbq, well appointed kitchen, and hot tub. They also had a great stereo / HTS that we enjoyed. If you are picky and/or expecting a pristine place where everything is in good working order, you may be disappointed with this rental. The apartment over the garage, basement and master bedroom have AC but the main living area and upstairs bedrooms do not. They have fans but if it’s gonna be a hot week (which is not the norm in the White Mountains) it’s gonna get balmy in there. Many of the lights are burnt out and the place could use a deep cleaning / sprucing up. I think the value in this rental is the large space and the location. It’s definitely not cheap but the price is fair. Would recommend for a large group but likely won’t be back because we like a bit more luxury when we spend our vacation money.

We had 6 Couples 12 people the house was perfect everyone had their own rooms plenty of bathrooms

We stayed there for bike week from Saturday to Sunday six couples 12 people could not have asked for a better house everyone had their own bedrooms plenty of bathrooms open living room kitchen dining room everything we needed Garage to keep our bikes safe and clean hundred percent the best vacation we have had not often can you find a place where 12 people can go and really enjoy themselves thank you for having us

Family Vacation

House itself it quite beautiful, but could use some deep cleaning and some updated pans, dishes, and glassware. There is not enough silverware for 12 people for 2 meals a day. Coffee pot, toaster oven, fridge, blender, and pans were quite dirty upon arrival. Lower level is very uninviting, fireplace doesn't work and when you try to manually light it, it gives you a shock. Televisions are a bit small for the space of the room they are trying to fill. There were no darts to be found for the dartboard. Sonos speakers, hot tub, bathtub, and firepit area were great!
