Casa Los Mosaicos provides a comfortable, safe and private environment for families and groups to enjoy a relaxing holiday in a beautiful location.
It is situated in the hills behind the Costa del Sol less than half an hour from Marbella, beaches and Malaga Airport and 10 minutes from Alhaurin Golf. With stunning views of the surrounding countryside, the villa is a tranquil oasis amongst the olive groves with its colourful mosaics, beautiful new pool (with optional heating available) and palm lined, walled garden. Inside it is stylishly furnished complimenting the villa's modern yet rustic design with its double height lounge and five ensuite bedrooms, air conditioning throughout, wifi and TV with international channels. Outside there are four terraces, a barbecue area and a yoga terrace. It is 5 minutes from two lively towns - Alhaurin and Coin both with bars and great restaurants and is within easy reach of historic Ronda, the El Chorro Gorge, Malaga and Marbella with its shopping and beaches.

The host,Steve, was excellent and very helpful. However the property is tired and needs updating. We were inundated with dead flies in the bathroom, ants and several active wasp nests in the garden which made eating outside almost impossible.Tiles round the pool area are broken and uneven and again wasps (who can swim) are a constant irritant in the pool. A couple of us were stung by wasps. The Annex room is musty and clearly is not often used.The views are fantastic and it is quiet and secluded but desperately needs some investment.

Thank you for your feedback, which we take onboard so that we can continue to provide the best possible experience for our guests. Receiving a review like this that is so out of line with other opinions, I cannot help but think you booked the wrong type of villa for your party's needs. It sounds like a property on an urbanisation or on a coastal development would have been better for you, rather than a characterful villa in the countryside. The Spanish countryside is, of course, very beautiful, but it comes with wildlife and its up to you how much you allow this to bother you. Incidentally, my family arrived at the villa the day you left and spent the week eating alfresco and happily swimming in the pool and found no dead flies or ants in the house. I'm sorry you found the villa tired and requiring investment and am a little surprised by this. We are continually maintaining the property to a high standard - the crystal clear pool, the top of the range Weber bbq, the manicured gardens, aircon in every room, Smart TV with every channel, well equipped kitchen, high quality furniture - these aren't the characteristics of a poorly looked after villa rather a much loved one. You also mentioned cracked tiles in the garden - it is Casa Los Mosaicos. There are hundreds of tiles in the garden and we are continually replacing damaged ones. I understand you didn't use the annex room. It is regularly used by guests and only needs the shutters, windows and door opened and it comes to life.

Lovely family Villa

We enjoyed the Villa. The pool is great and the air conditioning was much needed in the heat of an August summer. Hiring a car is a must and note that there is a 1km bumpy chalk track to get to the property. Lovely holiday

Lovely House i Coín.

We had a lovely stay in the house.There was not airconditioning in all the bedrooms as stated in the description. Besides that, the house I functional, the pool is fantastic and the view outstanding.

Hi Torben, I'm glad you had a lovely stay at the villa and you're most welcome to return. However, I am a little confused when you say there isn't aircon in all bedrooms, when there is. Maybe you didn't realise that the aircon for the front two bedrooms is discreetly housed behind vents in the ceiling and services both rooms?

Outstanding Villa, would love to go back!

We went as a group of friends with babies and children. It was a superb villa with lots of space in beautiful surroundings. Stunning views, great pool, would love to go back. There's a great local restaurant at the bottom of the lane and lots to do within an hours drive. Top holiday. Highly recommended!

Fantastic holiday

There were ten of us in our group, from ages seven to adult, and we all had a wonderful time. Both the owners and their local caretaker were very obliging. The villa has been well equipped, and was spotlessly clean. It has plenty of space and facilities including a lovely deep pool, and is in a very peaceful rural location with fantastic views; yet at the same time it is only a short drive from the nearby towns' shops and bars. Certainly recommended.

The Joy family Review

We booked the Villa over 18 months before the actual holiday but the week we had all been looking forward to soon arrived and our expectations were surpassed. The Villa was wonderful and more than fulfilled our wishes for a family of 8 adults and 2 young children. The pool was brilliant, views from the porch and terrace outstanding. The Villa had everything you would need and was well equipped. You do need a car when visiting local supermarkets of which there are plenty in Coín. The local restaurant is a 25 minute walk and very friendly and excellent value for money. On arriving at the Villa all necessary information was provided by Steve “ the caretaker” and you knew help was at hand if needed. Super Villa for a super holiday.

Das Haus war sehr schön und idyllisch gelegen. Es hat einen großen Garten zum Spielen für die Kinder und auch der Pool ist sehr groß. Die Poolheizung war gerade zu unserer Zeit (Anfang April) sehr praktisch, so konnten wir diesen intensiv nutzen. Von der großen überdachten Terrasse hat man einen tollen Blick über die Hügel. Vom Haus aus kann man innerhalb von 30-40 Minuten viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und auch Marbella und Málaga gut erreichen. 10 Minuten entfernt ist Coín mit mehreren Supermärkten und einer kleinen Mall.

Great Villa in the center of Andalusia

We enjoyed this big a great villa with my and my brothers family together (9 person) The location is great you have to use your car but can reach really a lot of things in 0,5-1,5 hours

Lovely House with a great view!

We had a lovely stay at the house, the garden was beautiful and the pool was great. We stayed with two families and all the children and adults had a great time! Car rental is a must and there is enough to see in the surroundings. Steve the host was also very kind and helpful. Great memories!!

A wonderful place for a family holiday.

We loved the pool and the amount of space for a family group of 12 including two one year olds. A great place to holiday during the current crisis with everything provided and great food shopping two minutes away.

Everything you could hope for

Quiet secluded and very comfortable, the pool was fabulous. We had the pool heated and although the Easter weather was brilliant we were glad of the warm water that meant the grandchildren (and the rest) couldn’t get enough. The chap looking after the property Steve was very helpful with great tips on where to go and local food and shops. WiFi and English tv meant that we could keep in touch and the young ones didn’t feel deprived. A car is essential as this property is a little off the beaten track but that was just what we needed. The walled gardens with electric gates meant we were never concerned about the children wandering off. The property had everything needed we ended up cooking ‘at home’ every night. Maundy Thursday and Good Friday lots of shops and restaurants were closed but if desperate the petrol stations sold everything (including wine) !, Couldn’t recommend this property highly enough. It is the first time we have agreed we would go again.

Hi Peter, Thanks for your review and I'm glad you enjoyed the location and the lovely local restaurant. I spoke to our excellent caretaker re the 'snags' you experienced. I gather they were related to the extreme weather that you unfortunately had. The heavy rain tripped the boiler and heated pool electricity supply. Prachtige villa, mooi gelegen en van alle gemakken voorzien.

Deze villa is een echte aanrader! Mooi gelegen op een heuvel met een magnifiek uitzicht. Van het (verwarmde) zwembad hebben wij met onze familie, waaronder twee kleinkinderen, meer dan genoten. De (onverharde) weg naar de villa is wel even zoeken en was door de vele regen, een week ervoor, behoorlijk aangetast. Jammer dat de wifi verre van optimaal was, maar voor de rest is deze plek zeer aan te bevelen!

A wonderful house and garden. Nice place for a big family. Great view and pool!

We, (8 adults +4 children 1,2,4,and7 years old) had a wonderful week in the villa and used the garden, the table tennis and the pool a lot. The villa caretaker Steve welcomed us and was very helpful!! We stayed a lot by the house as we could use what was there. We also did almost all cooking ourselves.The kitchen is very equipped!! We went to the recommended beach two days. The view is spectacular (even the 7 year old girl commented that), it gives the garden a very peeceful feeling, both from the pool and the breakfast and dinner table!!! Parkingplace for at least 3 cars. We can warmly recommend the place, the house, clean,well equiped and bathroom or shower to every bedroom, and again :nice pool and wonderful view Lena Dalnert and family Sweden

Wonderful!

We spent one week in september with our sons and their families in this nice house and we had a wonderful stay! The garden is beatiful and the pool fantastic with sunbeds fot everyone. We can absolutely recommend this place!

Very well appointed and beautiful location

Very spacious, quietly located, well-equipped home with perfect working pool (washed 2x a day automatically), beautiful views to the west, south and east, beautiful garden, good terrace furniture for 12 people and 8 sun loungers, various supermarkets about 4 km Distance and 2 simple but highly recommended restaurants about 1.5 km away. Our stay was from April 24th - May 1st, 2017 with 6 adults and 4 children and we enjoyed. 5 days fine weather with a temperature of 23 degrees and plenty of sunshine and 2 days of rain. Due to the heat due to the strong solar radiation during this period, despite the still cold water, the swimming pool is used on all sundays. Upon arrival, the location was difficult, but strictly following the instruction on driving and with the guidance of the home master Steve, it was successful. It should be borne in mind that the road to the house for the last 500 meters is a hard road with many pits. During the preparation, had a good email contact with the owners Josh and Jill, who responded quickly to a few mails with questions. We would like to come back again. Lily and Jean

Great place

We had a very enjoyable stay at the villa. We had two small kids with us and they loved playing in the garden. The Villa is well looked after and a great place to relax. Can't add much more to what's already been said in the other reviews. Highly recommended.
