This bright and spacious one bedroom lower suite has its own separate garden entrance and courtyard. This newly renovated 1910 century home is located just minutes from the heart of downtown in one of the most charming and quiet areas of Calgary. Walk, ride or train to any of Calgary's attractions easily from this centrally located cottage. The lower suite bedroom is a well appointed luxurious space with a queen bed. The living room has a sectional that opens to a double bed for extra guests. The spacious kitchen has all appliances and lots of room for eating at the table. The back courtyard has a BBQ and quaint table with chairs to enjoy the morning and afternoon sun. Groceries, liquor, and baking are available from either local/organic shops or large chains only a block away. The bright living area has large SMART TV, stereo, and electric fireplace. The bathroom is like a spa with heated floors and spacious tub and shower. The laundry room is located centrally for both upper and lower units use. The location is ideal for any stay in Calgary as it is as central as you get while remaining nestled in a cozy neighbourhood community.

Clean & Comfy

My wife and I stayed here for a week for vacation. Everything from check in to check out was seamless. The unit was clean, comfy, quiet and had everything you would need. The backyard sitting area was wonderful and private. I recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay in Calgary. Chad & Jenn

My home away from home

I stayed here the first time in 2021, in the middle of the pandemic. I loved it. I confirmed this time that definitely this is my home away from home. Great suite!

Awesome Cottage Close to DT Calgary

There were plenty of kitchen items like spices, utensils, & cookware which helped a lot for every day uses. The property is close to grocers, liquor stores, and a fairly expansive area of local shops and businesses, as well as a short distance to downtown Calgary. There was a small backyard which was great for grilling and relaxing in the afternoon and evening. Everything about this place was satisfactory or better. One of the best VRBO properties I have ever stayed at, truly!

Excellent Launchpad to Calgary

The unit was is great shape and served as an excellent launching point for our adventures in the area. It is within walking distance from the C-Train and the Bow River Pathway, making it extremely easy to get around town.

Your home away from home in the heart of Calgary

I’m in love with this quaint “home away from home” It’s located so conveniently in Sunnyside, steps from Kensington, Downtown and Renfrew. The unit has all you need to stay: a great kitchen, beautiful bathroom, comfortable living room and very cozy bedroom. If visiting Calgary try this cute suite, you will love it!

Good Place

Many thoughtful touches throughout to create a good "cottage" vibe. The space is well finished and very well equipped. They didn't cheap out, like so many others offering vacation rentals.. Cathy is an agreeable and responsive host.

Great stay

We rented the whole house when we were in Calgary for our daughter's wedding. Our son and his girlfriend enjoyed the basement suite, while my husband and I stayed on the main floor. Everything was great, and Cathy was quick to respond to any questions we had.

Calgary Home

Great location in town close to public transit light rail station. Shopping,restaurants, outdoor trails all within walking distance. Really enjoyed our stay. Owner was very responsive to our needs.

Loud, but lovely location

Check in process is easy, get the key and enter. The location is close to the metro train, about a 7 minute walk. Inside and furnishings are in good condition. Lots of supplies are included, pots, pans, shampoo, soap, etc. We pick full sized homes so that we can cook in and save money, one evening the power went out and we were unable to reach the owners, we had to eat out and would have liked to be offered a reimbursement. The power came back on later that evening, the owners replied the next day. Our major issue with the home is the very loud noises that come from anyone being in the upstairs. Our first three days someone would be up and walking until 10pm and then up again around 4:30am. This noise would wake us up and we're pretty deep sleepers. A pipe that runs along the bedroom wall makes noise when water is being used in either unit. We had about four days of quiet and then a family with children were upstairs for two nights, they ran, jumped, knocked things over and were very loud until 10-11pm. We tried knocking on the upstairs front door, back door, rang the doorbell, they would not come to the door at all, even though they were in. So, we contacted the owners and were told they couldn't tell them "not to walk" which wasn't the complaint. After the family left, we could hear mice (not sure if it was one or more) running in the space between our roof and the upstairs floor. But, it was quieter than walking or stomping from above, so, small favors. WiFi would temporarily go out for between 30 seconds-2 minutes every hour or two. We did power cycle the router, but it didn't solve the issue. It would go out on all of our devices, so it wasn't our device causing it. Without the noise issues, it would be a solid 4*-4.5* place. When you go for a two week relaxing vacation, you hope to leave behind the stress of loud noises and dealing with the neighbors.

Beautiful little guest houses, well equipped, great location

Our family rented two of the homes to attend a wedding in Calgary. It was great to be able to book 2 homes, including a basement suite, to get together with family. The location is wonderful, walking distance to downtown, very close to the river and the ridge, from where you have a nice view of the city. The homes are well equipped, nicely decorated, have good appliances. The front and backyard are very pretty, beautiful flowers, very well maintained properties. The only thing that might cause a little problem is if somebody rents the basement suite and needs it to be quiet, the noise level from upstairs is loud. If another party would be up late, you can hear every step and loud talking from upstairs. This was not an issue for us, but it could be for others.

Charming Cottage; Great Location!
