Turquoise Waters is on the east side of beautiful, crystal clear Torch Lake. Next to the sister property, Sparkling waters, which is also a vrbo listing 778356. So we get to see the glorious sunsets and have a gentle breeze which keeps away any pesky flying critters and the water drops off very gently so its great swimming for all ages.

This a family friendly property with 165 feet of shoreline, hot tub overlooking the lake,a sandy beach play areas, 2 sun bathing rafts,2 kayaks, pedal boat, SUP, water mat,2 BBQ ( one propane -the other briquette), tennis court, an extensive play-swing set, bonfire pit, picnic tables, multiple seating areas to enjoy viewing the lake and sunsets, there are amenities for all ages.

Each cottage can be rented separately if available. Please inquire about a rate.

We have two cottages on the east side of Torch Lake just north of Clam River. Each has two bedrooms, one with two singles ( or 3) and one with a queen-sized bed (in each). Each has a full three-piece bath, kitchen and a living room, one has a stone fireplace as well. Linens and towels are provided.

One of the main features is the setting. We have 165 feet of frontage on Torch Lake about half in sandy beach. There are two decks overlooking the lake, a tennis court, beautiful terraced gardens,rolling manicured lawn and some woods. There is a new extensive dock with a large sitting area at the end to enjoy the crystal clear waters of Torch Lake. There is AC for the cottage through the wall in one of the bedrooms.

There is also an extra hoist which can be rented separately.A pedal boat is at your disposal. There is also a playground for children that we built when our children were smaller which is on the border of the property and shared with our guests next door at Sparkling Waters. The tennis court is also shared .

Sparkling waters is a 7 bedroom /5 bathroom home next door that can be rented as well. It is on VRBO and is listed as number 778356 for larger groups.

Rustic

The property has many amenities and the owners are very nice. The large house in the picture is the owner’s home and they are a presence on the property while you are there. The small rustic cabins are close to the road.

Lovely Family Vacation

It was our first time at Torch Lake and we had an incredible experience. The property's grounds were amazing, with breathtaking multi-level views for the adults and an abundance of activities for the kids. The gardens were exquisite. The kids loved the sandy beach and lilypad. We made smores while watching the sun set over the lake. The hosts were very welcoming and truly enjoy sharing their piece of paradise with others. We will definitely be back.

Great vacation spot

My family and I stayed at this property in July. My grandkids loved playing at the dock and it was a great spot for watching the sunset. The kayaks and water mat added to the fun. The cabins are very close together which worked great for us. The property owners live just a few yards away from the cabins and they were extremely helpful if we needed anything. We rented a pontoon boat and Donna contacted the rental company to help us work out some minor issues we were having. We will definitely come back.

Amazing Property with Beautiful views of Torch Lake

Donna was so easy to communicate with, quick to respond to my many questions. Cottages were quaint and stocked with everything one would need for a wonderful week on Torch Lake with extended family. The property itself is stunning with beautiful gardens, waterfall, amazing sunsets from the top of property. Down the hill is play set, hot tub and tennis court. It has a small beach area which was shallow enough for grandkids and the water is crystal clear. We rented a pontoon boat all week from Dockside Water Sports and visited the sandbar which was amazing. It really seemed we were somewhere in the Caribbean as the water had so many shades of blue. Hoping to return someday, Torch Lake is certainly a gem! Thanks again to the Green’s for sharing their cottages with us. Marianne

Fabulous property

When the property that our 5-household extended family had rented to celebrate my parents 50th anniversary fell through- this spot opened up and it was beyond amazing. A beautiful setting with every amenity you could ask for. The beach, playground and magic water carpet were perfect for little kiddos and the grounds were also fun to explore. Donna and Jeff were incredibly hospitable, especially by graciously accommodating some of the activities we had planned for our full family to celebrate my parents. We loved it so much we booked again for next year with the house on the adjacent property so additional family households could join on-site for the full week.

Beautiful Property

We spent a week at Turquoise Waters this past June and had a wonderful time. The cottages are well appointed, and the property is spectacular. There is no shortage of things to do between the beach, playground, tennis court and numerous water toys, and Torch Lake is like no other lake we've ever experienced - crystal clear and turquoise (with absolutely no weeds like we have in Ontario!). A complete treat. We'd highly recommend this property and the location - a wonderful escape from the city. We hope to be back soon.

Beautiful lakefront setting

Stayed here for a week in July 2016. 7 adults and 4 children (ages 11 months to 7 years old). We rented both cabins, and while they are small, we quickly settled in and really enjoyed our stay without feeling cramped in the slightest. The cabins do share the lot with the Green family's home, but at no point did we feel as though we were intruding on each others space. They were gracious hosts who responded to any concerns quickly, and the grounds are so extensive that there was room for everyone to enjoy the space. Good weather was a plus, because the majority of our meals were able to be enjoyed outside on the grill and at the large picnic tables. The swimming area and crystal clear Torch lake waters are fantastic, and most of our time was spent on the lake. A paddleboat, 2 kayaks, and 2 stand up paddleboards were all put to good use in addition to being able to enjoy the sandy beach, the dock and outdoor seating for sunbathing and watching sunsets, and the tennis courts. There is a bit of rocky-ness to the bottom of the swimming area, and right where you enter the water from the beach. Didn't stop us from enjoying it, but some of us used water shoes to avoid walking on the rocks and it was fine. We really had an outstanding family vacation at this rental, and I would definitely recommend it.

Beauty By the Lake

My family and I just wrapped up a wonderful vacation on Torch Lake, Michigan and could not be happier.The property grounds are enormous and very well maintained and there is something to do for every person in your family young or old. Swimming from the expansive dock, kayaks, SUP's, water mats and more all available on the crystal clear lake. When we weren't in the water there was a tennis court, volleyball court, kids jungle gym or a full size chess board to choose from. Not easy keeping two kids under the age of 10 busy every day but they were both completely exhausted every night. The BBQ on the deck was ideal and used daily as where the deck chairs for watching the sunset every night. Because the owners had a place close by they were extremely responsive to any questions we had , even giving us tips on where to shop locally to get the best prices. The cottages were very quaint and well appointed, and were perfect for privacy at night from any of the neighbors. A great time was had by all, we will definitely be back!

Slightly misleading description, despite great spot on lake

I struggle with this review, because our family had a great time on our Torch Lake vacation and I really hate to write negative reviews - having said that, I wish I'd had the benefit of some of this info before arriving on the property so I feel I should write the review honestly. The best way I can put this is that if I had known several key things about this property in advance, I would have searched for something that was a better value for the price. The grounds themselves are as pictured and well maintained, but you don't have exclusive use of them as I'm accustomed to on a VRBO (or if they are shared, that's usually made clear). The owners live 50 feet from the cottages in their summer house and you share the grounds with both them and a rental house they own next door. Also, our kids were playing on the dock in a way that we immediately corrected, but the owner came down less almost immediately to scold us and correct us. I don't really enjoy being watched while in a rental property on my vacation. Another downside to the cottages is that they are very, very small. When the weather is nice, this isn't a problem because you want to be outside anyways. But there was at least one day that was a little chilly and it sprinkled, and while the property sleeps 9, there is absolutely no way that it can comfortably accommodate 9 people in the living rooms of either cottage unless you split the group in half. Not good for a group of 9 in that way. In addition, the cottages are located very far from the lake on the property, so there aren't lake views from them, and they are close to a road that is surprisingly noisy at night while you try to sleep. I'd also take issue with the term "newly-renovated" in the description. The cottages are perfectly fine for a rustic vacation, but one of the kitchens doesn't even have a dishwasher which seems typical of a "new" renovation. On the plus side, the dock is very nice, the swimming area is great because of the shallow water depth (good for younger kids, which we have), and the beach area down by the water is very nice. The owners are responsive to issues as they arise. Torch Lake is a fantastic place to have a family vacation. I just wish the description of the property fully reflected the property that you are renting so I could accurately determine whether it was a good value for the price (which I ultimately thought it was definitely not).
