Strategically placed on the edge of tall woods this home takes advantage of it's beautiful surroundings by featuring floor to ceiling windows so our guests can enjoy nature from both the outside and the inside. Often you will see deer, wild turkey, fox, and birds of all colors! The home features 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, bright great room, full length deck with grill, large family room, pool table, and games for the little ones. Gather around the cozy fireplace or outdoor fire pit with family and friends.

You will have access to the Galena Territory Owners' Club and all it's amenities such as indoor and outdoor pools, game room, fitness center, gym, tennis and basketball courts, and more.

Galena IL has hundreds of unique gift and clothing shops, antique stores, art galleries and artist studios. It boasts a rich performing arts community, live music, gourmet delights, as well as a multitude of museums, wineries, historical sites and tours. There are opportunities to enjoy the outdoors golfing, skiing, playing tennis, boating, fishing, zip-lining, hiking, horseback riding, hot-air ballooning and much more.

The host was very thoughtful and accommodating! We were traveling over Thanksgiving and they asked if they could confirm any kitchen tools needed to prepare the meal, or anything else needed to make our stay special. She also warned us about some snow on the way and looked out for our safety on the curvy roads during the storm. The house was clean and well appointed for the holiday and even had some Christmas decor to make it festive!

We had a great time at the cabin. The house is set up for fun, even on a rainy day. Pool table, games and an incredible selection of movies are at your fingertips.The pool at the clubhouse is very nice, too.

Girls Weekend

We were very happy with the cabin and its location. Clean, well supplied with everything you could possibly want. Great selection of music and movies too. The master bedroom was just beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the back. Booked for 2 nights, added a 3rd night!

We had the most amazing weekend with our kids and grandkids. The home was perfect for us and the scenery and serenity are amazing! We loved the surround sound system and gathering areas. We made lots of memories at this beautiful home.

Great Stay

We had a great stay in Galena! The house is very well equipped. We made many meals at the house and had everything we needed. Communication was good leading up to the stay. Very comfortable home for our family!

An absolute oasis

We had to families with 4 kids at this property and it was absolutely magical. It was a beautiful home with ample space and after the kids went to bed the adults sat on the deck and watched the starts!!

Family getaway

We had a great time at this house! Plenty of cooking and eating space in the kitchen and the kids really enjoyed the play area. Located so close to the pool and golf course and just a short drive into downtown Galena and over to Iowa.

Family Vacation

The inside of the house was very clean, well stocked, and above what was described-even ice cube trays were filled for us! Beds were very comfortable and plenty of entertainment items available. Nice hospitable touches were throughout the house. Customer service call before arriving was a welcome touch as well. As an outdoor living family, we thought the outdoor space was lacking the same attention. There was a small firepit in the middle of 2-3 ft weeds off to the side of the house, the upper deck had not been swept in a while ( more than just random leaves ), and the lower deck space had sparce furniture and 2-3 ft weeds in the gathering area. Paying attention to the outdoor space would make this wonderfully located and private residence even better.

Great summer getaway for a large family

We had a large group, so we needed to find a large house with enough bedrooms to accommodate us. This house has four bedrooms to sleep eight. There might also be a pullout that we did not use. The location is just a short 15-minute drive to Galena, which was great, because once we were outside of Galena there was virtually no traffic. We all appreciated the pool table in the basement, and the coffee table on the main level was large enough for a puzzle. (You'd be amazed how much less time folks spend on their phones when there is a puzzle laying around.) All in all, a great four-night stay! The owners are great to communicate with, very responsive, and gave us a lot of tips on shopping, the owners' club, etc.

The BEST Vacation Home EVER!

We have rented many vacation homes over the years and in a variety of locations from the beaches of NC to the mountains of WV to miner's cabins in Mineral Point, WI, as well as other homes in the Galena Territories. Everyone agrees -- this was the BEST place by far! We had 5 adults staying at the cabin, as well as 2 teens, and 2 children under 6. We had lots and lots of space -- movies and pool in the basement, cards around the table, chatting, reading, and listening to music in the main living space. I really appreciated (having driven 14 hours) arriving at a cabin with toilet paper, made beds (yes, I have had to make my own beds upon arrival!), paper towels, soap - and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need - pizza cutter (yes, I have had to purchase in the past!), wine/bottle/can openers, pots, pans, baggies, saran wrap, pens, paper. It really is like staying at your family's vacation home - warm, inviting, stress-free. And to top all of that off it is SPOTLESS, bug-free, and absolutely cozy and beautiful! Our family enjoyed many of the activities over the July 4th weekend the territory and neighboring communities had to offer - the pool, rodeo, pancake and parachute breakfast, fireworks, parade, and walking around quaint Galena. It was truly a memorable week! We will be back! Thank you!

It was a perfect stay, the house met all our needs and we had a blast. The only thing was we forgot a bluetooth speaker and there wasn't one in the house. They had a great sound system and a bunch of cds to save the day. The house was so cozy and we would definitely stay again.

Fun with friends

Two families with school age kids for fun over Memorial Day weekend. Plenty of room, linens, and good kitchen supplies. Appreciated the Kcup and regular coffee maker optionsl Enjoyed the deck in the evenings and the kids loved playing outside. It feels secluded as couldn't see other neighbors at least with the leaves on this time of year. Quiet street with access to unpaved trails. The firepit location and ambiance was a favorite! Kids enjoyed exploring the rocks' nooks and crannies beside it. The house is nicely furnished and supplied with things like marshmallow toasting sticks, no ice maker but there are ice trays so it works fine, etc. It is somewhat dated which we were fine with but may want to be aware, We did use the wifi for casual use and it was fine, Communication with the property managers was great. We did go to Owner's Club to use the pool which was full of people, but we still found chairs and the kids enjoyed. If you haven't looked up how The Galena Territory works would recommend doing that. We would stay here again and had a great time.

We are a city couple with hectic and crazy schedules that absolutely needed a secluded and peaceful place to retreat. We are a unique combination of a music promoter & rock and roll musician. As a result you will find a chic melodic tone flowing through our home! Though our schedules still keep us on the go we are working hard to free up as much time as possible to enjoy our vacation home. When we can’t do that, we invite others to enjoy it in our place and feed our wildlife friends.

We love the outdoors, hiking, and nature of all variety. Galena and its surrounding area provide a treasure of nature preserves and hiking trails. Pioneering is never disappointing! We are always discovering new areas and bountiful unspoiled lands to explore. The business exec among us is happiest when on the golf course and when we found an area that provided both, in generous measure, we knew we found our paradise. Our interest in genealogy and local history is fed by Galena’s many historic sites, and you’ll find a montage of our ancestors gracing a wall upstairs.

Every vantage point whether on the inside or the outside of our home, offers a panorama of tall woods that change with every season. We could not have chosen a better spot to relax, savor our limited free time, commune with nature and appreciate the wildlife that we love so much. Boulder Creek is certified as a Backyard Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation.
