This ideally located, year-round three bedroom, one bath (with additional outdoor shower) beach house is in the family-oriented Hawk's Nest Beach community. Only two blocks to private Hawk's Nest Beach. Central A/C included. Perfect for couples and families who are looking for a more relaxing getaway, and yet still less than a mile from Sound View Beach for those looking for a little more action. The location also makes it easy to get to nearby attractions.

The property features parking for 3 cars, a newly installed patio with dining for 6 and beach chairs/umbrellas.

This home is also available as an academic rental. A lease period of September to June is required.

Great getaway!

I am honestly jealous of this house; very nice, super close to the beach, just perfect for our family and our weeks' getaway. Will definitely consider another visit and stay here hopefully next year.

Great stay at Hawks Nest Beach

We enjoyed our stay at Hawks Nest. Larry was a great host and the house was sparkling clean when we arrived. We were pleasantly surprised that the kitchen had been remodeled and had everything we needed. Back patio with extra long table and umbrella was great- we are all our dinners outside. Beds were comfortable and rooms were decent sized. Air conditioning was wonderful on one of the hottest weeks Communication w Larry was quick and easy. Walk to beach entrance was about 2 blocks but we rode bikes and there is a bike rack at one entrance. There is a shed that had beach chairs etc which was nice (and our neurotic city kids insisted on locking up their bikes in it) Overall an excellent stay on the Connecticut shore.

Hawk's Nest Beach Stay

This place is perfect!! Plenty of space to spread out. Outdoor shower and patio were perfect. I loved staying here and Larry was great!

Great beach house!

We were extremely pleased with this home. It was clean, had all amenities, and within walking distance to the beach. The beds were comfortable and the outdoor patio was nice. Excellent property. We would stay there again.

Excellent Experience

We had a perfect week at Larry’s home! The house was very clean, updated and spacious for a family of 4 at the beach! We were very pleased with all the little things the cottage had that we didn’t need to worry about picking up at the store or bringing from home (cleaning supplies, beach supplies in the shed, seasonings/cooking supplies, bug spray, outlet covers, etc.)! The outside area was so adorable and a great place to wind down after being at the beach all day. My husband and I couldn’t get over how quiet the neighborhood was! The house was in perfect proximity to lots of activities with young kids (the beach, Garvins, carousel, ice cream shop, Italian ice, etc.)! Whenever I had a question Larry was very friendly and responsive. We plan to come back every year as a new family tradition!

Return Guests, very happy!

Despite unpredictable circumstances of Mother Nature, our stay was very enjoyable! The owners have made some nice updates from our previous stay and the property is well-maintained and exceptionally clean! We will return!

Nice family vacation

As a family traveling with two very small children, this location provided us with everything we needed. We were close to the beach, but far enough away from the noise of other vacationers.

Peaceful Getaway

Short walk to beach, with quiet cottage location. Sandwiched between two convenient ice cream shops perfect for those who love an ice cream cone on a summer evening.

Owners of house were very nice. Property was very clean and well kept. I loved it so much I am going back again in September.

A nice, comfortable, well laid out cottage with A/C which was appreciated with the very hot Aug.

Overall, a nice place to spend our vacation. However. for 6 adults we found 3 wine glasses so I bought 4 more to use and to leave. Some of the dishes were in rough shape and the cereal bowls were a major mismatch, Perhaps previous renters used the dishes to play Frisbee I went to try and tidy the covers on the living room couches and when I removed the cover on the couch under the front window, I discovered that the back cushions looked like a werewolf had lacerated them with its claws. I would suggest that the couch should be recovered or replaced On one of our shopping trips to New London, we were in the Value Store and they had good used couches for $175. Anyway, since we never ran into the werewolf, I guess I can say, ... A good time was had by all . Thank you, Ron Warner

Great Family Vacation

We had a great time at Hawks Nest Beach! The house was clean and had everything we needed! A short walk to the beach and a great neighborhood-feel. The owners were responsive and helpful. Hopefully we will be back again next year!

Very nice house, quiet neighborhood, easy beach access

We had a great week, this is an updated home with great beach house charm. It is in a quiet, pretty neighborhood with private access to the water. It is roughly a 5 min walk to 2 beach options. This is a great option for anything from a small group of friends to a family (we were both). In addition to ocean access, the house is less than 30 minutes from the historic Mystic Seaport, stunning Gillette Castle, and other sights/activities if you are looking for outings. This was just what we were looking for as a vacation house.

Great vacation spot

Beautiful and clean place, and a quick walk to the beach

We had a great stay here. The house was clean and well-maintained. The outdoor shower came in very handy when he'd get back from the beach, and the central air was nice to have. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful family vacation at the CT shore!

Beautifully renovated home - comfortable and clean, plenty of room for hanging out together as well as spreading out! The back porch is just made for lingering over morning coffee or playing games in the evening. The backyard is shady and cool and has a grill and a picnic table - perfect for fun family dinners. Pretty neighborhood, and an easy walk to a great beach!! Will definitely have to go back next summer ☀️

Great house coming back next year

The house was impeccable and updated. Owners attentitive to our needs and respond quickly. There is washer and dryer, grill, and central air that keeps the house very cool. Close to both beaches in easy walking distance. We brought bikes to go back and forth faster. Definelty will recommend and will hopefully be returning next year.

Clean and perfect for our family!

My husband, 2 young kids and I stayed at the house for a week. Upon arrival it was very clean and orderly, which made me feel comfortable and right at home. The house had plenty of space with nice size bedrooms and a great kitchen area. We had lots of family and friends visit us at the beach house and the parking space was sufficient. We loved the beach access. It was the perfect size for the kids and not too far of a walk. Talking to the owners was easy and they were very attentive to our needs. We would highly recommend this cottage to another family. Thanks for a great week vacation!

Perfect little beach house !

Stayed for a week with my school age and teenage kids. They had a blast riding bikes down to Garvins to participate in the daily activities. Great location and great house. Very comfortable, clean and quiet! Can't wait to come back!

Great Place To Vacation

Our family had a great time on this vacation. The cottage is beautifully located in a quiet area of Hawks Nest. With a short walk to the beach it was perfect for having a small child. We are so impressed and cannot wait to go back.
