The “Sommerhuus” is beautiful all year round!
Built in 2021, this thatched-roof house was lovingly designed to meet the wishes and needs of families, but it also delights anyone who appreciates a unique yet cozy design.
The house is surrounded by a large garden on the edge of the beautiful “De Poeler Drift” complex, with views of Wismar Bay and the surrounding fields. Both of Zierow’s beach sections are within easy walking distance (approx. 800 m), and a handcart is available for transporting essential items such as sand toys. Right outside the front door, a beautiful walking or running trail begins along the water, and the Baltic Sea Bike Path runs within sight.
For families, not only does the Sommerhuus offer all-inclusive amenities, but Zierow itself has plenty to offer as well, with several playgrounds within walking distance, a variety of activities at the nearby campground, as well as various cultural and recreational facilities in the surrounding area—such as in Wismar, Klütz, or Kalkhorst—suitable for different age groups and weather conditions. It’s simply beautiful here all year round!
The house itself features a total of 4 bedrooms spread over 2 floors, an open-concept living and dining area with a fully equipped kitchenette, a full bathroom, and a shower room with a rainforest shower. For cozy fall and winter days, a fireplace and a sauna are also available, while the underfloor heating throughout the house ensures a pleasant vacation atmosphere.
The furnishings in every room have been carefully curated—with a focus on practical details complemented by lovingly selected designer pieces and one-of-a-kind items.
We want you to feel right at home with friends during your vacation at the Sommerhuus.
The cozy sitting area, featuring a large sofa with extra-deep seating, comfortable wicker armchairs, and ottomans, sets the stage for relaxing evenings. A smart TV and Blu-ray player are, of course, provided.
The large antique dining table is ideal for leisurely family breakfasts or evenings spent cooking together and seats up to 8 people. Our little guests sit just as comfortably and stylishly as the grown-ups on 3 wooden children’s chairs. For babies who can already sit up, there are also 2 of the tried-and-true IKEA high chairs available
The kitchen blends seamlessly and unobtrusively into the living space and offers everything you’re used to at home: a large refrigerator, a separate freezer, an induction stove, as well as a microwave, a Nespresso machine, a coffee maker, a toaster, and a kettle (with temperature control). Additional items of particular interest to families include a waffle maker, a sandwich maker, a hand blender, as well as children’s tableware, food storage containers, cake pans, cookie cutters, etc.
Especially for our little guests, the play corner under the stairs—lovingly furnished with carefully selected children’s furniture—is an ideal hideaway and offers a wide selection of books, puzzles, games, building blocks, Lego, etc., for various age groups. Coloring books and crayons are also available.
Also on the first floor is the bathroom with a large walk-in shower and the sauna
Off the living room, you’ll find a spacious bedroom with a fantastic view of the surrounding fields. Here, you can enjoy the sunrise from the cozy 1.80-meter double bed. The bedroom also features a smart TV with satellite connection.
In the storage room on the first floor, you’ll find both a brand-name washing machine and a dryer for your use, as well as all the practical household appliances you might need, such as a Dyson vacuum cleaner. For longer stays, you’ll also find plenty of additional storage space here for your supplies.
On the first floor, on the left, is the large bedroom with a 1.80-meter double bed, plenty of storage space, a Smart TV, and a wooden crib so your little ones can feel right at home. A travel crib can also be provided and would fit comfortably in this spacious room.
On the right is the third double-bed bedroom, which features a 1.60-meter bed, storage space for two people, and another Smart TV.
Adjacent to this is the “children’s room” with three single beds measuring 1.40 m, 1.60 m, and 2.00 m in length, so that three children—or two children and one adult—can sleep comfortably here. We’ve also made sure there’s plenty of storage space for clothes and toys, as well as charming details like a book box.
All of our bedrooms can be darkened using pleated blinds and exterior shutters and feature built-in insect screens.
The cozy bathroom on the first floor, complete with a bathtub, invites you to relax. From here, too, you’ll enjoy an unobstructed view of the surrounding fields.
For small children, we’ve equipped our entire house with permanently installed outlet covers; stools and step stools are available, as is a toilet seat, so you don’t have to worry about your children’s safety and comfort while on vacation. We have deliberately avoided placing any dangerous decorative items within a baby’s reach.
Our Summer House is situated on an 800-square-meter lot that is completely fenced in and also offers plenty of opportunities for fun and relaxation. In the garden shed, you’ll find the “bread bike” as well as everything you need for your beach trip, such as a picnic blanket, beach shelter, folding chairs, and sand toys. A handcart is available for transporting items. For active fun in your own garden, feel free to use the sports equipment—such as badminton, a slackline, a beach ball, or soccer goals—or relax in the hammock or beanbag chairs. While you do so, you can watch your children play on the jungle gym with its swing and slide. On hot days, the wading pool offers a refreshing break from the Baltic Sea for the very little ones.
Of course, there’s also a gas grill and a large table with 8 chairs on the southwest-facing terrace. Here, too, small children enjoy sitting at their own table in the shade under the large swiveling umbrella.
Free Wi-Fi is, of course, included, as are towels and bed linens. In the kitchen, you’ll find vinegar, oil, a small selection of spices, as well as tea and coffee.
There is space in front of the house for up to three cars. An electric vehicle charging station is available and can be used for a separate fee based on the electricity consumed. Cost of electricity for the charging station: 60 cents/kWh. You can lock your bicycles in the on-site storage shed and securely store a bike trailer on a separate wall mount.
