This 47-square-meter apartment, last renovated in 2019, is located on the first floor of the “Windjammer” building on Steinwarder. It features a spacious living and sleeping area with a comfortable double bed (2 × 90 × 200 cm) in the back, a cozy sofa area with a flat-screen TV, and a dining area for four people. From the living room, you can step out onto the south-facing balcony with a view of the inland lake. The open kitchen area is fully equipped for your vacation needs. It includes a coffee maker, a kettle, and a toaster. There is plenty of dishware and silverware. Additionally, an oven and a dishwasher are available for your use. The adjoining children’s room features a bunk bed and is also suitable for teenagers.

The “Windjammer” house is ideally located for a vacation on the north side of the inland lake! The beach is just a few steps away. And overall, the house is a great starting point for everything you might want to do on vacation:
Restaurants, a playground, a skate park, and kiosks are all in the immediate vicinity. A bakery, bike rental, a mini-golf course, and—for the more athletic guests—a fitness center are also just under 800 meters away. There’s a great hiking trail leading to the cliffs—depending on the season, you might spot Galloway cattle and their calves there.
Our charming old town is about 2 km away—the best way to get there is to stroll along the lakefront promenade right into the heart of the city. With its traditional fishing harbor, numerous shopping options, delicious restaurants, the “Graswarder” nature reserve, the lovely beach, and the longest pier on the coast, our small harbor town has a lot to offer.
You can conveniently park your car in the house’s parking lot—and feel free to leave it there. In the summer, in addition to the regular buses, the Heiligenhafen “Bimmelbahn” (tourist train) runs, allowing you to quickly get into town or to the harbor, or you can simply rent a bike from the local bike rental shop. This gives you great flexibility. In general, Heiligenhafen is a great starting point for all kinds of bike tours: you can reach Großenbrode in just over an hour—a bit faster on an e-bike—or enjoy the unique view from the Fehmarnsund Bridge and bike straight to Fehmarn.
