This modernized vacation apartment is located on the third floor and features a light-filled living area with a sofa corner and flat-screen TV, a dining area, and an adjacent open kitchenette. In the separate bedroom, you’ll find a cozy double bed (approx. 160 x 200 cm) and a spacious closet. From the living room, you can step out onto the south-facing balcony with a view of the inland lake right outside the door... and if you look just around the corner: there it is, the Baltic Sea!

The “Windjammer” house is in an ideal vacation location on the north side of the inland lake! The beach is just a few steps away. And in general, the house is a great starting point for everything you might want to do on vacation:
Restaurants, a playground, a skate park, and kiosks are all in the immediate vicinity. A bakery, bike rental, a mini-golf course, and—for the more athletic guests—a gym are also just under 800 meters away. There’s a great hiking trail leading to the cliffs—depending on the season, you might spot Galloway cattle and their calves there.
Our charming old town is about 2 km away—the best way to get there is to stroll along the lakefront promenade right into the heart of the city. With its traditional fishing harbor, numerous shopping options, delicious restaurants, the “Graswarder” nature reserve, the lovely beach, and the longest pier on the coast, our small harbor town has a lot to offer.
You can conveniently park your car in the house’s parking lot—and feel free to leave it there. In the summer, in addition to the regular buses, the Heiligenhafen “Bimmelbahn” (tourist train) runs, allowing you to quickly get into town or to the harbor, or you can simply rent a bike from the local bike rental shop. This gives you great flexibility. In general, Heiligenhafen is a great starting point for all kinds of bike tours: you can reach Großenbrode in just over an hour—a bit faster on an e-bike—or enjoy the unique view from the Fehmarnsund Bridge and bike straight to Fehmarn.
