Most wonderful long weekend!! Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Family room & kitchen were wide open and kitchen seating for 12! The screened in porch is to die for!! Direct access onto the beach which still had plenty of room to walk on the beach at high tide!! Had golf carts delivered and plenty of room in the garage! Deer came right up to the house which was our favorite!!!

Great vacation home!

This house is in the perfect location on Fripp Island. The beach is not crowded and my grandson loved looking in the tide pools! The house fit our needs extremely well for our annual family beach trip!

Beautiful Location, Family Friendly Home

The property was exactly as described. The location was perfect. The setup was great for a group. Everything was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with supplies for cooking. Communication with the property manager was excellent. We hope to return here in the future!

Had some issues. The jets in the tub did not work. The garage doors would not open or close. At one point the left garage door did close with a car inside. Rhe coffee maker in the kitchen did not work. This morning, while showering the water suddenly cut off completely and was out for about 1 minute before coming back on.

Private and peaceful

Great layout of the house, literally just steps to the quiet beach. The listing is very accurate, house was clean and ready. Loved watching the island dear graze in the yard and both sunrise and sunsets from the multiple porches and balconies. Great communication by the owner. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms plus shared space for a large family. Do your research about island amenities and plan accordingly. If youā€™re not big on crowds and busy tourist areas Fripp is perfect.

Fantastic location!

We love the location and have stayed here before. Loved the recent upgrades on the kitchen remodel and the new windows, paint and blinds. Everything was as listed and great communication with the property owners from check in to check out. We will be back!

Lovely spot

Perfect location on this quiet, scenic island. Gorgeous views. Host was very helpful and except for one small glitch during check-in, everything went smoothly. House is large and lovely and has everything youā€™ll need.

Beach wedding

We loved the house and the view is spectacular!! We tried to get a little time on the beach each day ā¤ļø We were surprised that there werenā€™t any beach towels to use and we didnā€™t find the beach chairs until half way thru our stay. The setting makes up for all that ~love the sound of the surf!!

Amazing house in fabulous location

We had an incredible time here with our three-generation family group. Everything was perfectly maintained and so comfortable. There were many thoughtful touches around the house, in addition to having a gracious and practical layout. We enjoyed morning coffee and afternoon snacks on the lovely screened porch, watched the sunset from the upper balcony, and enjoyed much time on the beach, which is just steps away. Fripp Island is such a gem of a place, with wide open kid-friendly beaches, warm water, beautiful vistas in every direction, and so much natural beauty. Berta was an amazing host, very patient and quick to respond to our many questions :) We will absolutely be returning!

On the Fripp Side

Great location right on the beach. The screen porch was wonderful and we all sat out there a lot. The open living, dining and kitchen were great with a direct view of the beach. The master bedroom was huge with a good king size mattress. The other bedrooms could use new mattresses. The sitting room sofa bed needs a new mattress. More washcloths please. The owner, Berta, was great to work with and very approachable.This was a great house for a big group and we had an awesome time!

Oceanfront retreat

We have been to Fripp before and stayed previously on the marsh side. This time we were right on the ocean. We had a great time, had friends visit and one of our sons. You can't beat walking right out on the deck and being on top of the ocean. We loved how the tide would change from right up to the rocks to about 100m out. Really gave a nice change of perspective. It was almost a full moon when we were there and that also impacted the tides, which was cool, not to mention it was so bright from the moon, we could see so clearly. A very relaxing stay and enjoyable time with family and friends. And the Frogmore Stew we made with fresh shrimp from the Gay Fish Company was awesome too!

Nice but not clean

Property was as described. Good communication. Sheets on several beds were obviously not washed. Had to spend several hours after arrival washing and drying sheets. Host claimed that all had been washed. Some floors were not too clean either.

Great property but needs upgrading

We love the location and layout of this property - it is the second year we have rented it. It is right on the beach and is perfect for a large group of people. However, the house needs some serious upgrading. The front and back porches are falling apart, and the overall finishes in the house - bathrooms, floors, surfaces, kitchen - need to be refreshed and/or painted. Right now everything feels dirty and old even though it's clean. We would definitely rent it again if some of these changes were made.

Disappointed and Angry

The place was filthy when we arrived. We had to clean it thoroughly before we could even unpack. There were smashed bugs on the walls. We took pictures of my grandson after he had been there crawling around for an hour and sent them to the owner. The outside was missing siding in multiple places, there were no outside seats on any of the many balconies?? Dishwasher was broken so handwashing dishes for 9 people and 4 toddlers was a joy and really made it feel like a vacation, toilets were broken, had to get the part and fix them, shower curtains were moldy, had to replace those ourselves, coffee table was broken, the fan/ light on the screened in porch didn't work. Overall this was a mess. The place could be awesome with a little attention but it was pretty clear that no one with any stake in the place had visited in a while. We love Fripp so this was very disappointing and we should have gotten our money back considering how much we had to do and buy out of our pockets to make the place livable.

Great family house

We enjoyed the house but especially the screen porch watching the afternoon storms. It is wonderful being that close to the beach. The house worked good for a large family and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. Was a fun week.

We visited Fripp Island for the first time in 2000. We came back a month later and bought our first home here.

Simply said, we fell instantly, head-over-heels in love with Fripp. In the beginning we lived on the East Coast and were able to spend a great deal of time here. Eventually we moved to the mid-west and that first home became a rental.
