Masters Hill is a gated community with resort style living! Masters Hill Complex has 224 homes with three different and unique styles of dwelling units that are named the Summit, Vista and Horizon. There are 3 pools and 3 spas on the property. Masters Hill is approximately 6 acres of lawn, groundcover, trees and shrubs.

Absolutely stunning views of Bernardo Heights Golf Course, mountains, hills and lush surroundings from this fully furnished and well equipped condo.

Enjoy an open floor plan with a tastefully decorated living room with a pull out couch. A 55" Samsung LED Smart TV hangs on the wall in the living room and also boasts a cozy fireplace. This 1 bedroom consists of a king size bed along with an Insignia 55ā€ Class F30 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Fire TV. The master bathroom has a spa feel walk-in shower that was remodeled in late 2023 and vanity with double bowl sinks. The 1/2 bath off the hallway has gorgeous mosaic tile. The kitchen is very functional with stainless steel appliances and the laundry closet has a full size stacking washer and dryer. Enjoy the breathtaking views from the covered balcony that faces North in this sought-after gated community. The covered balcony is 8' by 4.5'. This condo is located on the top floor (4th floor) and elevators take you up from the covered parking area. This unit can accommodate parking for 1 non-electric vehicle. This home feels like a vacation and the furnishings will leave you feeling like you never left home!

Unit has been recently updated with a new couch, reclining chairs, dining room chairs, barstools and bedding.

All utilities are included such as Gas, Electric, Water, Garbage Removal, Cable Television and Internet.

There are 3 salt water pools and hot tubs located within the gated community.
The ā€œVistaā€ pool is heated during the winter months and is located on the right as soon as you enter through the gate. There is a hot tub as well as a menā€™s and womenā€™s washroom and shower.
The ā€œHorizonā€ pool at the top of the hill is not heated. There is a hot tub as well as a menā€™s and womenā€™s washroom and shower.
The ā€œSummitā€ pool is in between both condo buildings with views of the beautiful golf course. There is a hot tub, however, there are not any washroom facilities. This pool is not heated in the winter.
All 3 pools were recently renovated in 2024 and all are salt water pools.

The Community Association of Bernardo Heights (CABH) is a master planned community located in the heart of Rancho Bernardo. There is a $10.00 per person fee for unlimited use during your stay.

This lovely community boasts beautiful parkways and neatly manicured slopes. At the Bernardo Heights Clubhouse, our amenities include:
Fitness center, 2 pools (25-yd main pool is heated at 82 degrees F), wading pool, jacuzzi (heated up to 103 degrees F), locker rooms, 3 tennis courts, 4 pickleball courts, 2 electric-gas grills, 2 basketball hoops, ping pong table, 2 pool tables, foosball, and a Swim Instructor and Private Tennis Pro are available for lessons (fee-based).

At Lucido Park, our amenities include:
4 tennis courts, a playing field, 2 charcoal barbeques, and a children's play area.

We liked the location - close to Costco, shopping and the 15 freeway. We enjoyed being able to join the Bernardo Heights rec center by the month. The owner was prompt in getting back to us about any issues that we had during our stay. The television was a challenge to operate especially in the living room.

The perfect place for a winter retreat.

My husband, Ned, and I have been vacationing in San Diego for close to 15 years. Since we retired, we have been spending both January and February there. We have had many varied rentals to compare, so we can honestly say that our most recent stay has been the best. The condo's location, Rancho Bernardo, is near the beach, golf courses, restaurants, recreation, and the city of San Diego. It is very clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is well-stocked. The bedroom is large with very good storage and the king size bed is just like home. The owner, Denise, is well-organized and working with her has been a joy. We would recommend this condo for your next winter retreat.

This was a very nice condo, well furnished, comfortable and very clean. Denise was very responsive to our needs and I would recommend this rental . The only drawback is the patio is quite small but has a nice view of the golf course. The rental price is quite reasonable .

BEST OF THE BEST

My wife and I stayed here for six weeks while our home was being remodeled and we found it to be an excellent stay. The condo is furnished with everything you would ever need and it is located in a very quiet building. The website photos could have been taken while we were there -- what you see is what you get! Plus, the owner, Denise, is a joy to work with. We have rented from VRBO/HomeAway many times and this is the Best of the Best..

We had a fabulous stay at the condo. It is in the perfect location to do things..go to the coast, wine taste, travel to downtown San Diego. The condo itself was gorgeous...well maintained , private parking. Loved the patio..I sat out there every morning with my coffee and watched the golfers. We definitely are coming back!!!

Lovely Condo in Beautiful Neighborhood

My husband and I spent the month of December 2017 making ourselves at home in Denise DiGiuro's well-appointed Rancho Bernardo condo while visiting family in San Diego. The condo is cozy and comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen and even an electric grill on the balcony for the times we wanted to cook. When we didn't, we went to one of the dozens of restaurants located an easy five to 10 minutes away...no getting on the freeway. We loved taking early morning walks around the neighborhood and coming back to the gated security and quiet of Masters Hill. It was winter so we did not take advantage of the beach equipment Denise provides, but we did enjoy walking on the beaches at LaJolla and Coronado. We also explored Balboa Park, Queen Califia's Magical Circle at Kit Carson Park in Escondido, Bernardo Winery just 10 minutes away, the Christmas Boat Parade in San Diego Harbor, Christmas shopped at Westfield Mall at Escondido 15 minutes away. We even took a couple of days and flew down to Cabo since we had never been. The location of Denise's condo is convenient to so many great things to do around San Diego. Our time in Rancho Bernardo was delightful because Denise was accommodating in every way!

My wife and I stayed there for three months in early 2017 and owner the Denise DiGiuro was unbelievably helpful and cooperative. Every minor question we'd have she ended up solving very easily. The views, the furniture, the kitchen with its accompanying dishes, pots, pans, and cookware were all top notch..Even though the condo was most secluded we were still were within 2 -3 miles of Costco, Trader Joe's, Albertson's, Von's, Sprouts, and Barro'n's' markets...On top to that there are numerous great restaurants within the 2-3 mile radius as well..Steaks and Sea Food,, Mexican, Italian, Thai, India, and Chinese were all close by. None of the markets nor restaurants required getting on the Freeway. We ended up liking the condo complex so much that we ended up buying a 3 bedroom in the same building for our future winter visits. We highly recommend this property and it's owner Denise DiGiuro. Great Condo in Heart of Rancho Bernardo

We have nothing but great things to say about this condo and the owner Denise. It is very comfortably furnished and extremely well-equipped. Denise could not have been more accommodating, always available to answer any question and granting every request. We are locals who rented for 2 months because we are between houses, so it worked out perfectly for us -- a nice getaway in our own neighborhood without the responsibility of home ownership at a very reasonable price. (The other reviewers have explained all the amenities of the condo and the area) We recommend this place for any couple who wants a relaxing, worry-free stay in the most beautiful and livable city in the world!

Enchanting Masters Hill Condo

I can't say enough good things about Denise's beautiful Masters Hill Condo. The beauty both inside and out far exceeded any VRBO I've ever stayed in and I've stayed in dozens of nice places around the state. The tasteful lovely decorations and comfortable furnishings, fully supplied kitchen for those liking to cook as I do, bikes, beach gear, pool towels for the 3 pools which I enjoyed daily, the Masters Hill complex itself, the warm welcoming and timely responsiveness of dear hosts, the super cleanliness (I have allergies and am very sensitive) and the unforgettable peaceful magical morning tea on deck overlooking the golf course, palm trees and mountains. The location is fabulous...5 minutes from Trader Joes, great shopping, restaurants, movies, walking paths (Lucido Park), 22 minutes across to the coast to Del Mar and La Jolla and 10 minutes to Rancho Bernardo Winery, a fabulous locale for wine tasting, the best restaurant (Cafe Merlot), weekly Sunday afternoon music, Friday morning farmers market, art walks and many other special events. To give you an idea just how enchanting and life changing my time at Denise's condo was - having just retired, I've decided to relocate to Bernardo Heights and am looking at obtaining a Masters Hill Condo!

Very nice Condo with great views and close to everything

A perfect condo for +55 people with great views of the golf course from the living room window. It was just as the ad said it was and we totally enjoyed our 4 month stay. We used the elevator just about every day to take us from the garage to within steps of the front door. We both have a mild arthritis problem so the elevator came in handy. The condo has a great view, is well equipped and comes with 2 bikes, 2 beach chairs and more stuff for the beach. The gated community is super quiet and well maintained with lots of greenery, flowers and mature trees. I would recommend it to family and friends. The price was right and the owners were great. We would definitely stay there again. David

Excellent Vacation Condo

This was a return visit for us, and we had a marvelous time! We so enjoyed the gorgeous view of the golf course and mountains from the large front room window. Also, this unit had all the amenities we would ever need. Denise was such a joy to work with, and she made sure that everything was going well during our visit. The location of the condo is near several golf courses, which my husband enjoyed tremendously. The pool, hot tub, and walks in the quiet neighborhood were some of my favorite moments. We also made several trips to downtown San Diego and ventured to the beach. This unit is a perfect place to recharge for adventures in the San Diego area! We loved our time here and highly recommend this condo.

Your Home Away From Home

Consider this condo your home away from home.The images of the condo you see on the web site are spot on. Standing in the living room and looking out at the private golf course and mountains beyond - PERFECT!! The master bedroom - very comfortable king size bed with lots of storage room in the closet area. The master bath with two sinks and a great shower and bathtub was like home. Living room and dining area quite comfortable. If you like to cook, and we do, the kitchen was fabulous, and every kitchen tool you need is there. The electric BBQ on the patio was great for burgers, steak, fish, chicken etc. Denise was a pleasure to work with.Printed instructions from getting thru the guarded gate, to setting up the WiFi and tvs, to using the storage area in the parking area - Denise MADE IT SIMPLE to transition into and out of the condo. And Rancho Bernardo is the central place to be to explore the beaches, downtown San Diego, golf courses nearby, and the wine country - Temecula - 40 minutes away. We had an awesome time. Perfect stay

If you looking for a safe, convenient and affordable place to stay in the San Diego area, I highly recommend this condo. We even enjoyed the while gated community the condo is in because of the beauty, convenient parking and wonderful pool. I was traveling with young kids, and they loved the pull-out beds, all bedding provided, and nice furnishings. The kitchen was perfect to cook whatever we needed and the large dining table easily fit us all. The patio has a beautiful view of the golf course and mountains- it was so relaxing to sit out there everyday. Denise, the owner provides wonderful service and is very easily reachable. There are no doubts that this condo should be perfect for your vacation!

CAN'T WAIT TO STAY HERE AGAIN!

This condo is truly a real gem and the owner, Denise, was a pleasure to work with! From the initial time I contacted her, she was great. She was always available to answer the few questions we had, and had promised us that the condo was EXACTLY how the pictures portrayed it. We couldnā€™t agree more. She provided us with many details about the condo itself and about the area. The condo was beautifully decorated and absolutely spotless when we arrived. There were plenty of blankets, sheets and pillows, which for our family was a huge plus. The kitchen was very well stocked, it even had a blender which we used for making frozen drinks! The king size bed was also super comfy! The subdivision is just beautiful with pretty landscaping and is very well kept. We enjoyed several days at the pools and hottubs! There are 3 located within the subdivision and we spent an afternoon at each one! Denise even supplies beach towels, chairs, a beach umbrella, and beach toys. We spent a day a Del Mar Beach which was great, and had dinner at Jakeā€™s Del Marā€¦Great place with a gorgeous view of the ocean. We were there as the sun was setting and it was amazing! Thank you again, Denise, we CANNOT wait to come back and enjoy more relaxing nights on the balcony, the views were AMAZING!

A SERENE HOME AWAY FROM HOME

We recently stayed at this location, and we couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. This property provided a serene location to recharge before venturing out on numerous outings. This clean, nicely decorated condo is well-stocked with everything we needed for our stay, and the view of the golf course from the large living room window was gorgeous. We also enjoyed a few trips down to the hot tub and pool. Denise was amazingly helpful! She responded quickly to our questions, and provided easy to follow instructions for every aspect of the condo. THE BEST ONE BEDROOM LODGING IN RANCHO BERNARDO

This delightful property is located on Masters Hill, a private gated community in the Bernardo Heights section of Rancho Bernardo. My wife and I had a wonderful time in this unit on the 4th floor with magnificent views overlooking the first hole of Bernardo Heights Country Club. The unit is beautifully furnished with a large king size bed that has a mattress to die for and two ottoman twin beds. The kitchen is well stocked and very efficient. There are large screen television sets in the living room and bedroom with plenty of channel choices. A small balcony with comfortable chairs even has handy footrests. The appointments in the living areas are absolutely state of the art. We loved the fact the area's largest and nicest swimming pool was just a few feet away. The unit is close to both parking and elevator. Most important, this is the best location for accessing the best parts of Rancho Bernardo - whether for shopping or golf. Equally important is the fact that the owners could not have been more pleasant, helpful and cooperative in every way. We definitely look forward to being return visitors!

AMAZING VIEWS OF GOLF COURSE AND MOUNTAINS! CLEAN AND SPACIOUS CONDO!

We just recently stayed at this fabulous condo and did not want to leave! Every attention to detail has been covered! The furnishings are top notch. As Denise had promised, the pictures on VRBO do not do this condo justice. It is even nicer in person than in the pictures if you can imagine that! The condo was immaculateā€¦.Super, super clean, and we are CLEAN FREAKS!! Denise was a pleasure to work with, and was always available via phone, text and email to answer the various questions we had. Our favorite spot was the patio with the fabulous views of the golf course and mountains! Our 2nd favorite spot was the pool. The pool area was perfect and very clean and well maintained. The owners, Denise and Randy, were so helpful in providing perfect directions once you enter the subdivision and gave great detail and tips about the condo itself. Thank you Denise & Randy for allowing us to stay in your gorgeous condo. We had such a good time & would highly recommend this vacation place to everyone who loves the San Diego area. We truly felt right at home! We will definitely be staying here again!

My wife and I totally enjoyed staying in Rancho Bernardo at this top-floor unit overlooking a beautiful Golf course. In fact, we liked it so much we have committed to return to the same unit next year. The owners are great to deal with and we feel like we are now good friends!

Dear Denise, It was a pleasure working with you and renting your condo last week. Thank you for your quick responses every time we had a question! And Thank you for the prompt return of our security deposit! You were right, we didnā€™t want to leave to go back home. Everything was PERFECT! The condo was decorated so beautiful and was immaculately CLEAN!! Your condo had absolutely everything that we needed for our trip. We even used the cute beach chairs and umbrella that you provided. Thanks for the restaurant recommendations, as we tried all of them and were very happy. The view was beautiful and the weather was great. We even used the pool. We will definitely be in touch again, as we would LOVE to rent from you again. EXCELLENT FULLY-STOCKED Condo

WOW!!! What a beautiful condo, Denise! Thank you so much for accommodating us at the last minute. You were a pleasure to work with! When we arrived, the condo was spotless just as you had promised! The view is absolutely stunning as we enjoyed coffee on the patio each morning and a glass of wine each evening! The bed was so comfy especially after a few long days of being on the go in San Diego. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything from pots n pans, to bakeware (which we didn't use) to every kitchen utensil imaginable! We will definitely stay longer next time as a long weekend just wasnā€™t long enough! Thanks again for your prompt responses and for the prompt return of my security deposit! We would highly recommend this condo to anyone who is looking to stay in a beautifully landscaped, gated community with spectacular views!!!

Rancho Bernardo Review

Hi Denise I returned the key today in the mail - you should get it by Wed. I thought your place was just amazing. Perfect for just the two of us. The bed was comfy and everything we needed was in the kitchen as far as pots, pans, etc. I did go ahead and purchase 4 wine glasses since there were not any but no big deal there - I got them at the Goodwill store down the road! Beautiful view, wonderful owners to work with!

This was such a wonderful stay for our small family! My kids enjoyed the pool and my husband and I enjoyed the workout rom access. We ALL loved the view and will definitely stay there again!
