Be welcomed by gently sloped seven acres of peace. Notice to your right when coming in the cantilevering dock at the one acre 'pond'. After a day of rafting or shopping relax with cool breeses. Morning coffee with extra quiet. The warm setting of natural wood finished
interior brings peace to the soul. A welcoming sunroom to start your day with coffee and the morning view.
Our yard is big and level enough to handle V-ball, soccer, football or /what ever you bring as a hobby.
We have acres of pleasant walking areas for private exercise and time for strolling to relax and gather your thoughts. Private, Quiet and Convenient.

5 minutes away - Gem Mines... Franklin has always been known as 'The Gem Capital of the World' ! Young and old alike enjoy the thrill of finding their very own precious gems including sapphires, rubies even some emeralds. What will you take home?

10 minutes away - 'Pickin' on the Square' That's right. In our own town we have local tallent, some great, some funny and some you've never seen the likes of. Banjos, guitars, drums, Cloggers and Buck Dancing. An evening of pure entertainment downtown, Saturday nights and Free !

60 minutes away - Nantahala Outdoor Center Beginning & intermediate White Water rafting for the entire family. The Ocoee River, Home of the Olympics White Water Rafting, a serious Class4 is 90 minutes west of Franklin.

60 minutes away - Cherokee Indian Reservation Native American culture, crafts and art work, trout fishing, live bears and much more!

Winter includes snowboarding, skiing, snow tubing and hot chocolate. Numerous activities are very close to Franklin.

It was the perfect weekend getaway. Our hosts were so thoughtful that they even had a small cake for my husband’s birthday waiting in the fridge. The cottage is so quaint and cozy and the view from the sunroom is breathtaking. We loved bringing our dog and there was even a large yard for him to run free in. The property is peaceful and relaxing. It exceeded our expectations.

Beautiful spot in the highcountry

Very relaxed time in a sweet cozy place. Host was welcoming and gracious. Property was gorgeous with lovely flowers and beautiful landscape. It was a nice break from the heat in the low country!

David and Jennifer are most gracious hosts! They take utmost pride in meticulously maintaining their property. The cottage and grounds are inviting, offering beautiful views of the mountains beyond the valley overlook. The cottage was clean and comfortable and pet friendly. We had 2 small dogs along on this trip who thoroughly enjoyed the large exercise pen that allowed them to run free. We really enjoyed our time at The Peaceful Valley Cottage and will surely try to stay there on our next visit to Franklin!

Relaxing beautiful Oasis

It was almost 40 years ago that I was a outdoor instructor in the mountains of North Carolina. The beauty is still breathtaking. What made this trip so relaxing was the home away from home cabin of Jennifer and David. So relaxing and beautiful it made our anniversary trip so special.

Great cottage with a view!

Hosts David and Jennifer were fantastic to work with…very attentive in every aspect and always quick to respond to our inquiries. The cottage was neat and clean. The sunroom was our favorite feature with an unbelievable view! Great location!

Heaven on earth

Wonderful cottage in a pretty valley

Oh my goodness, the view from the sunroom is amazing! It is very peaceful and beautiful here. The owners are so friendly and helpful. They let us know of things to do in Franklin and the surrounding area. We had our pet with us and she was able to be leash-free in the very large, fenced pet area. The views are pastoral and the bells that gently ring in the distance were so pretty.

Little bit of Paradise
