Our cozy cottage is welcoming and perfect for a lakefront experience! You will love hanging out on our private beach under the River Birch, while enjoying lavish sunsets.

Reserve our pontoon boat to explore the beauty of Lake Wylie. The boat will be delivered to your dock on the evening before or morning of your booking and picked up when it is time to go. Check for owners specials from time to time.

You will love the beach! It is perfect for the kids to run around and play in the sand while you watch from the patio or dock. The "bay" offers a safe swimming environment, being indented into the shoreline, feel comfortable and confident that your loved ones are safe from boat traffic. You will have access to a canoe, kayak and stand up paddle board to launch out on an adventure from the beach. It also has a great fire pit, perfect for stories and marsh mellow roasting.

Home description:
Entering the cottage, you will see a beautiful view of the Lake through the front wall which is 80% glass. The very open floor plan offers wonderful interactions with guest while cooking in the kitchen. The living room features a large flat screen TV as well as a pull out couch. After taking in the view, you’ll notice the elegantly crafted wooden interior of our new, fully renovated home. On this level you will find the second bedroom with a queen bed facing a picturesque view of the lake. This bedroom has a large private bathroom with a walk-in tile shower and marble floors. Walk out onto the deck for a gorgeous broad view of Lake Wylie as well as our private beach, lawn and dock.

Continue downstairs to enjoy yet another beautiful wide view of the lake through the many windows. Here you will find another living area great for relaxing in front of the large flat screen TV or reading a book in front of the wood burning fireplace. Also on this floor is the master bathroom with a beautiful travertine shower, large closet with a new top-of-the-line washer dryer. The master bedroom is located on this level with a king sized bed, walk-in closet and a fabulous view of the lake. Walk outside on this level to the downstairs patio - a perfect place to wind-down and enjoy a refreshing drink or simply see the beauty of the lake.

You will build many fond memories and always be welcome at our cottage!

Beautiful view! Easy access to the property with great parking. Georgia thank you for making it easy for us thru out our stay. Maybe next time we are in the area we can enjoy the lake activities more. The sunsets were beautiful to watch sitting on the porch enjoying some coffee.

We had an amazing time. We are originally from Miami, FL and came to visit family. We had a bbq at the house and enjoyed the outdoor fire pit, made s’mores, bbq and watched the beautiful view. The house was very clean and everything we needed was available in the house. Will definitely be coming back.

We have stayed in 2 of the 3 Hayes lake/beach properties over the years and this home more than once. The added beach is wonderful, the location is great, house is clean, check in is easy. We have now added a daughter in law to our family and this home accomodated 4 adults and our dog well. Look forward to our next stay.

Great house with great view of the lake. The screened in porch was wonderful. Sitting on the dock with a glass of wine during sunset was fantastic. Beds were comfortable. There was plenty of space for my whole family.

The house was in a perfect location with excellent view of the lake and passing boats. It was equipped with everything you needed from the kitchen to the bathrooms. The upstairs screened in deck was perfect for our nights of gameplay, and our dogs could sit out there with us without fear of them going astray. The host/manager was the best. I have come across yet. quickly replying to my every question and concern, id say she went above and beyond. Although it did rain every day of our vacation, we did manage to get in the lake every day in between the rain. The outside had a very cute beach that the kids enjoyed and it was equipped with canoes and kayaks and lifejackets. I managed to catch the beautiful sunset from the dock our last night there. it was beautiful to watch. There are no cons to this rental property or host and I highly recommend and will be back.

Great view and location

Nice beach on property..Downstairs very bright, nice bathroom.House is old. Could use some TLC. Had a couple of roaches the first two nights, but Terminex was just done before we arrived so they were probably left from earlier.

Summer vacation

We have stayed at this home several times and always enjoy ourselves. The home is clean and spacious and this spot on the lake has to be one of the best! Great area for tubing and wakeboarding and a short boat ride to Pappa Doc’s.

Perfect family get away

We loved our stay at sweetwater. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. They had pots, pans, knives silverwear, utensils, towels paper products and even some fishing poles. We enjoyed renting the boat a few days. The boat is older but did the trick and the kids loved being able to use the tube!

Weekend Getaway for Mother's Day

My son, daughter in law and my 2 granddaughters came up from Myrtle Beach for 3 nights. The house was absolutely perfect for our family and was completely equipped with every possible item you may need for any length of stay. The beach was wonderful for our 5 year old.

Awesome house; great location!

This house is exactly how it looks in pictures! It was wonderful to stay out! The beach and lake are also just wonderful to have. My dad really enjoyed having the screened in porch and sitting out there while sipping his morning coffee. Getting the key out of the box is a little tricky but follow the directions and you’ll get it!

Wonderful relaxing vacation home

The Lake House was accurately listed, and a Wonderful relaxing vacation home. The small beach area was great along with the fire pit, canoes and dock. Inside was very comfortable and well stocked with all the essentials. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. the hosts were easy to get in contact with. If we get an opportunity, we will definitely stay here again. It was everything you would imagine a Lake Cottage would be like.

We are both natives of Charlotte. We went to rival high schools and then rival colleges before we met after college back in Charlotte. Despite our different views on ACC basketball and football, we both agree on our love for Lake Wylie.

I grew up coming to Lake Wylie on the weekends to my parents cabin located very close to Sweetwater. After college I became a General Contractor, renovated their cabin and was able to live there while the renovations took place. (LUCKY ME!) Needless to say- I was hooked! I loved Lake Wylie. I had been looking for a place of my own and jumped at the opportunity when Sweetwater came on the market. The place needed some work, however it had a certain charm that I knew couldn't be passed up. We bought this wonderful cottage, renovated it for a year, and it is now available for rent.
