IT'S SNOWING! Charming 2BR/1Bth on the River-Close to Aspen/Snowmass

Enjoy the great outdoors in this peaceful getaway just steps from the river’s edge! Wind down off Highway 82 and wend your way along the Roaring Fork River to this quiet retreat in Woody Creek, 10 minutes from Aspen.
It is the perfect location for skiing, fly-fishing, rafting, biking, hiking or just plain relaxing on a gold medal fly fishing river. Comfortable 2 bedroom 1 bath unit on the river with room to relax. Circular, gas fireplace adds additional grace and comfort. The living room sofa pulls out to a queen bed with an upgraded mattress, where on a cool night you can listen to the river. Dark plank hardwood floors and an open plan add to the attraction of this wonderful property. Flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi, stereo and DVD player.
Remodeled kitchen includes granite counter tops, new stainless steel appliances, and beautiful cabinetry. Plenty of space to prepare meals to eat on the deck overlooking the river. Dining table comfortably seats 6 and breakfast bar has 3 stools. Common area includes a large deck on the river with a gas grill to enjoy a BBQ.
Master bedroom has a king bed and additional flat screen TV. Second bedroom has 2 twin beds that can be converted to a king. The bathroom is remodeled, with a free standing ceramic sink and Jacuzzi tub/shower combo.
Aspen and Snowmass Village are a short bus ride or drive away, convenient for skiing or just hanging out. Basalt, also just minutes down valley, is home to the Frying Pan River, another gold medal fly fishing river. Free bus transportation stops immediately in front of the condo and is super easy to navigate. The 42 mile Santa Fe Bike Trail down the Roaring Fork from Aspen to Glenwood Springs, famous for its hot springs, also passes adjacent to the condo’s parking lot.
The notorious Woody Creek Tavern is only 3 miles down the road and worth the trip. Bring your cash as they do not take CC’s or checks!
Aspen, Snowmass Village and Basalt offer many choices of activities, restaurants, shopping and cultural events. There are many quality fly fishing guides and outfitters up and down the Roaring Fork Valley.
You, your family or a few friends will enjoy this wonderful, charming and peaceful escape on the Roaring Fork River!

GETTING AROUND: Please check out rfta.com or call 970 925-8484 This is the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority. Shuttle buses stop adjacent to our parking lot.
Look up the schedule for Woody Creek. Our stop is River Bend. The shuttle will bring you to The Brush Creek Park and Ride, where you switch to a bus to Snowmass or Aspen.The stop in Aspen is Rubey Park Transit Center. An easy walk to the ski area.
Each destination is a 28-minute commute. The schedules are listed on the website.

Unit was comfortable and right on The Roaring Fork, great location for fishing if you know the river. Bed’s were very comfortable and the unit was spacious for three adult men working in Snowmass. Had some issues with cable and WiFi but the owner was doing everything she could, Valley life Island life only so much that can be done sometimes. Would definitely come back! Thanks again!

Hidden gem!

This is our second time to stay here and it is THE BEST! Great location and the condo is beautiful. The owners/ managers are very accessible. There is a great trial right outside to walk and enjoy the surroundings. We hope to be able to keep coming back to stay. It is a hidden gem in Snowmass!

Great condo on the river!

My husband and I and our 2 children (8 & 10) really enjoyed this great condo on the river. Kitchen was well equipped. Beds were comfy. And the unit had a very relaxing feel - wonderful for unwinding after a day of skiing. We also really enjoyed the river behind the condo. Easy drive to Snowmass / Highlands. We are already talking about going back next year!

Hidden gem

We loved our stay in this beautiful unit right on the roaring fork river. It was nice to be close to Aspen and Basalt without being right in town. The unit is beautifully upgraded and well stocked with everything you will need for your stay. Steve was very helpful in giving us directions when we realized I70 was closed. Thanks so much for an awesome stay. We hope to return!

Wonderful place for family

This was an amazing condo. Perfectly located right on the river and 15 min to all the slopes for skiing. Everything was beautiful and comfortable. Beds were comfortable & Temperature at night was perfect. Peaceful setting. It snowed a lot so we didn’t get to use the deck area, but the view is amazing. We will certainly be back to this condo. Great for our family of 5. (Two adults and three kids).

Home away from Home!

This is our 3rd year at Woody Creek! We adore this condo and the location is peaceful yet located close to everything you need. My kids feel like this is their home away from home. A starter if Supplies are provided. Beautiful trail right outside your door and you overlook the river, wildlife, etc right outside. Thank you again for sharing your place with our family! We have beautiful memories here.

On the roaring fork

Perfect location for us: near our family at the railroad car and on bike trail. Home was comfortable and lovely. Lamps on living room and master bedrooms didn’t work, or the night light in the bathroom. We also needed more TP...but overall: great!

Restful, relaxing and peaceful

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The entire property is very well kept with beautiful flower baskets everywhere that the hummingbirds love and lovely outdoor lighting right along the Roaring Fork River. The condo itself is exactly as pictured - it is very comfortable and we really loved keeping the windows open! We ate breakfast and lunch on the terrace - perfect for two! The beds are very comfortable and there is plenty of closet space and hangers! The location of this condo is perfect...you can access the Rio Grande Trail almost from the front door! It is so easy to head just south to Basalt which is a cozy little town with wonderful restaurants and then just about 11 miles north to Aspen on a well paved highway! We absolutely recommend this property and will hopefully be able to return! Thanks to the owners and Victoria (the local manager) for being wonderful to work with!

Great family ski week

Eileen’s condo is super clean and well stocked. Comfortable beds and furniture. Great location, halfway between slopes and Basalt. Good in Basalt is far less expensive than at Aspen or Snowmass. Will definitely stay here again.

Excellent Property Close to Snowmass

The property was perfect for our needs. There’s a groomed trail that runs right by the proper that was perfect for cross country skiing and walking. The bus stop is literally right out the door and takes you into Snowmass Village. To drive to Snowmass, it took us about 20 minutes and even after it snowed, we didn’t have any problems getting there without a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Place is beautiful and the host was very responsive to our text inquiries. Highly recommend!

Comfortable lodging in a great area

We loved our stay in Eileen’s Woody Creek property. Very comfortable, with a great kitchen and room for apres-ski relaxing. Beautiful area and just a short drive from Aspen / Snowmass resorts.

Beautiful Stay Great Location

The apartment was awesome. Spacious and right along the river. Great location right between Aspen and Basalt so you can choose between either one for restaurant options. Nothing bad to say about this stay, it was really great. Highly recommend.

Spacious and Comfy Stay

We really enjoyed staying here for 4 nights. The drive to Aspen ski resorts is around 12 miles, quite convenient! The house is spacious for 4 adults, there is a jacuzzi tub inside the house! I m surprised to find the kitchen ware/sauce is adequate and we really appreciated all the supplies. The fridge may be small but sufficient for us. The bonus for staying here is the patio and Milky Way/a sky full of stars once you step out at night.

Heat Getaway

Beautiful home and location. The home is located by a ever flowing river you can hear and see. The front patio is cool and inviting. Definitely recommend. Close to Aspen and lots of hiking and biking trails.

Great visit to Aspen area

This property was perfect for our family of four. The unit was exactly as pictured and we loved staying right on the river. I especially appreciated the attention to detail and focus on function in the unit. There were hooks when you needed a hook, lights when you needed a light, plentiful drawers for storage and everything we needed in the kitchen. We hope to do it again next summer!

Beautifully clean rental

The kitchen was well appointed, and the beds were incredibly comfortable! We enjoyed a lunch at the Woody Creek Tavern, a must visit when you stay at this good location. We had an easy commute to Snowmass Village every day.

Overall very nice experience. Quiet, cozy, pretty windows and view of river, quaint gas fireplace. Easy access to 82, about 15 minutes to Snowmass Village and 25 to Aspen. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need for at home meals. Only Limitations: Tiny freezer space (we were fine without it).

Stayed here over Christmas weekend with my parents. The place was tidy, quiet, stocked kitchen, pretty view of the river, and a nice gas fireplace. 15-20 minute drive to snowmass or aspen village. The downside - I literally have 20+ emails to try to book and pay for this place because the owner will not use the VRBO app. I had to give my credit card over the phone. Super confusing when you are getting messages both from the VRBO app and separate emails from their assistant. When we arrived, the VRBO code sent was not the door code. The guest packet with the door code was sent to the wrong name even though we were emailing and they clearly had my email. Also, the owner was cold on the phone when asking about how to use the fireplace and we had just been stuck outside for 30 minutes. So, the business side of things could be better. There should have been a guest booklet inside too explaining everything like every other VRBO I have used, and perhaps again, just use the darn app. The heat was mediocre and no instructions; the fireplace definitely helped. The VRBO app also did not include which unit number so another part of the guessing game. Wish we paid more and just stayed in the village. We got what we needed from this place and had a nice winter holiday but could have been more organized on the owner's end.

Very pleasurable second stay!

We visited our son and daughter in the Aspen valley/Woody Creek area. We did not rent a car this time because they live only 5 miles down the same beautiful road and could drop in to eat breakfast or dinner with us as well as take us into Aspen and Snowmass, both located a short drive away. The condo is quite relaxing being that it is overlooking the Roaring Fork River. The king bed was most comfortable, hard to get out of each morning! We hope to plan another trip later this summer and will try to stay here for a third time!
