Ocean View Property in southern Sicily, with a multitude of nearby attractions

This property was conceived as a condo but at the moment is actually a singular villa. It offers and an expansive outdoor space with pool, large deck and a terrace with couches and a large outdoor table for dining, all while looking out onto the beautiful mediteranean sea. There is an outdoor shower. The outdoor barbecue area has a sink with running water, a gas burner , a marble prep area and grill. Indoors there is a fully equipped kitchen with gas cooktop, wall oven and microwave. dishwasher and large capacity refrigerator. The living room dining room area is spacious and there is a HDTV. The first floor bedrooms is spacious with enormous illuminated closet and queen bed. There are two bedrooms upstairs, each has it's own terrace with sitting areas looking out to the sea, large closets and the upstairs bath with shower. One has a twin which can convert into a queen or two separate twin beds and the other has a queen bed.
This villa is the perfect vantage point from which to enjoy the extraordinary culture, climate and culinary specialties of Southern Sicily. Nearby beaches spiaggia di Donnalucata, Playa Grandre, Cave d'Aliga, Sampieri, Marina di Ragusa and Marina di Modica. Close by Baroque towns of Scicli, Modica, Ragusa, Ragusa Ibla and Noto; each unique and spectacular. A short distance away Siracuse with it's historic center, the Island of Ortigia, Vendicari Natural Riserve with some of the most pristine beaches, Marzamemi a picturesque little fishing village, to name a few.
For wine connoisseurs there are a multitude of vineyards nearby producing many famous varieties such as nero d'avola, syrah, cerasuolo di vittoria, bianco d'alcamo, grillo, inzolia, cataratto to name a few.
Day trips to Caltagirone well known for it's ceramics, Donna Fugata Castle built in the 17th Century and featured in several movies such as Visconti's The leopard. Taormina and Mt Etna are less than two hours away...there truly are endless opportunities to explore this beautiful region.

Beautiful villa, Gardens and large pool with secure parking for 2 cars. Great sea views. All amenities in the Villa are of great quality and clean, communication with owners and local agent was great, Rossella was welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable throughout our stay. I have no hesitation in recommending this outstanding Villa.

We had a truly wonderful stay here. The villa is beautiful, spacious and very well-equipped. We spent a lot of time in the pool, which is really superb, and relaxing in the lovely garden.Access to the villa is up quite a narrow and bumpy single track road, so it’s wise to hire a fairly narrow car (though this is sensible for Sicily in general really).We enjoyed excursions to Scicli, Modica, Noto and Ragusa, as well as the beach at Sampieri and of course the beach at Donnalucata on foot, with multiple visits to Blue Moon gelataria.It’s a great region to visit and it’s hard to imagine a better place to stay when doing so.

Donnalucata stay

We were really happy with the property. Lots of room and pool was amazing. Good facilities so had everything we needed for a family week in the sun. Special mention of communication with owners and housekeeper. Couldn’t have been more helpful.

Beautiful modern villa close to Donnalucata

The villa exceeded expectations and was spacious, very nicely decorated and well kitted out with glasses, plates, pans etc. Beautiful gardens & pool. Walking distance to Donnalucata which has some brilliant seafood restaurants. Unfortunately the town had some long power cuts due to the wild fires and extreme heat - nobody’s fault and both Tracy the owner and Rosalla the local property manager responded immediately and did all they could to try to help us. We were lucky enough to have a first class view of the local air show which was amazing. I would thoroughly recommend this villa.

Donnalucata stay

Great house, very well equipped with everything you could need. Francesco and Tracey were quick to reply to any queries. They notified us even before we checked in that there was a problem with the air conditioning upstairs and said we could cancel and get a full refund. We stayed on and fans were provided for upstairs the A/C downstairs was very effective. All in all a lovely place to relax and the pool was fabulous. Would definitely return

Second visit

The house is spacious and in a great position, easy to walk to beach, restaurants, supermarket and bakery. Also good for visiting the area as a whole. We visited many of the same places we had been to previously but also went to Siracusa this time, which was worth the drive. Donnalucata is not overly touristy and very authentically Sicilian! The pool is a great size and we used it a lot, including late at night as we had very hot weather! There was a builder doing some work next door to the house but we did not find it too noisy, especially as the pool area is the other side of the house. The owners communication is very good and they had notified us in advance. Check in and out was easy with Rosella who was very helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Brilliant.....fully recommend.

Cannot recommend the property enough. From the initial contact, no issues whatsoever, with any questions responded to promptly. Met by the very friendly and helpful Wilfried on arrival (Thank you). Much larger than the pictures suggest and absolutely spotless from top to bottom - Everything you need. A real home from home. Beds extremely comfortable. And the best part is the outdoor space. The pool is simply huge, warm and clean plus plenty of other space to sit and relax. Outdoor toilet a bonus. 10/15 min walk to town. Good supermarkets within 10 min drive plus plenty of places to visit within 30/45 min drive if you can drag yourself away from the pool. Best all round villa we have ever stayed in. Thanks

Over Seventies Savour Sicily!

We chose Donnalucata as our destination because we like smaller resorts to feel part of the neighbourhood when on holiday. Villa Corvi did not disappoint. Great pool and lovely outside eating drinking and relaxing areas. Rosella and Fabio looked after us - along with Google translate and some interesting miming!- sorted out minor problem with a door immediately. Beds were comfy,kitchen well stocked with all we needed and a good array of extras! We hired a car locally in advance but enjoyed the walk to the town or Sabir Beach club. The track road to the villa was fine - remember a torch for the return trip and using one of the side roads, cut off the corner and we felt perfectly safe walking to the town. We used the car to go to local supermarket, Marina de Ragusa etc. Everyone very friendly wherever we went. We went to Scicli one day - beautiful but too hot for us and parking a nightmare so stayed local the rest of the break. Like those before us,we visited Blue Moon - never seen so much icecream, we liked eating right by the sea at Aquamarine, bought good meat and salad etc for BBQ and Rotiserrie chicken from two good butchers in the village. The regular House Martins that dipped the pool every evening charmed us- as did the acrobatics of the amazing robot that cleaned the pool. Delightful Donnalucata - and a toast with a glass of sparkly Sicilian white !!

Schönes Haus, aber sehr schmutzig und kaputt

Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr nett. Ankunft im Haus, musste die Putzfrau nochmals kommen. Bauarbeiten direkt nebenan, das den ganzen Tag von 07.30 Uhr bis 17.00 Uhr. Wird noch ein wenig weitergehen, da alles noch im halben Rohbau ist. Pool nicht nutzbar, Skimmer nicht gereinigt, Chlortabletten nur drauf geworfen. Im Skimmer stand ein richtiger Film an der Oberfläche, sehr bedenklich. Bäder - in den Duschen schwarzer Schimmel in den Ecken. Toilettendeckel lose. Kühlschrank dreckig, Töpfe verschimmelt, Geschirr wahnsinnig dreckig. Geschirrspüler -Schübe verrostet, Wasser stand im Geschirrspüler und stank. Ofen und Mikrowelle dreckig. Dunstabzug kaputt und das schon länger.

A fabulous house with great outdoor space

We had a lovely 2week stay in this beautiful house which is light, super spacious and well equipped with everything you could want. The upstairs bedrooms are nicer than they look in the photos and both have big terraces with amazing sea view. We all enjoyed the pool (giant Inflatable duck went down well…) which is a really good size and enough sun loungers for all. Check in with Wilfred was effortless and he was there for any minor problems - thank you Wilfred! Great communication with Francesco along with some tips of all the wonderful places to visit. We did lots of exploring and loved Scicli, Ragusa,Marzamemi and Noto in particular. Donnalucata is a sweet little town and very untouristy. A good choice of restaurants and not expensive! Easy to walk into town and to the beach, which was uncrowded and unspoilt . We must mention as others have Blue Moon - finally experienced brioche filled with ice cream for a late breakfast!! A perfect holiday - thank you!!

Das ist ein wundervolles Ferienhaus, mein Mann und ich waren mit unseren 3 Kindern dort, für die war der Pool natürlich unschlagbar. Die Kommunikation mit dem Ferienhausbesitzer hat wunderbar geklappt, wir haben uns dort sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt und konnten toll abschalten!

Merveilleuses vacances dans cette belle villa.

Très belle villa dans un lieu calme avec piscine et magnifique jardin arboré et fleuri. Wilfred qui nous réception est très sympa et présent. La villa est très bien équipée, la literie est parfaite. Bien placée pour les visites. Une plage à 5 mn. Nous avons passé 2 très bonnes semaines.

Fantastic stay

Our family had a fantastic stay here. The house is spotless, with everything you could need for a relaxing holiday. We loved the pool and relaxing in the beautiful garden, terrace and balconies looking out towards the Mediterranean. It’s even better than the photos. The house is a few mins drive or 10-15 min walk to Donnalucata where you can get fresh fish everyday from the fish market- the kitchen has everything you need to cook up a feast. There are lots of great beaches within easy reach as well as beautiful hilltop towns of Scicli and Ragusa. We were sad to leave and would love to come back again in the future. Thank you!

Top Ferienhaus aber Baustelle nebenan

Ein wirklich schönes und perfektes Ferienhaus mit wirklich Komplettausstattung wo nichts fehlt in perfekter Lage - aber daneben Baustelle für vermutlich ebenso perfektes Haus auf welcher von yPunkt 7.30 an Marmorblöcke zersägt wurden die dann bis 12.00 verbaut wurden. Dann Siesta und weiter von 3- 6. Dies hätte man erwähnen müssen und war doch recht unangenehm

The perfect getaway

Set just outside the town, the raised location gives superb view across the landscape, town and sea. It is close enough to walk to the beach and town (short stretch on road so take care with young children at night - maybe take a torch) but far enough outside to feel like you are away from it all in beautiful peaceful surroundings. The villa itself is a slice of luxury, with all the facilities you could need to make your stay perfect. Aircon was a welcome relief from the August heat and made sleeping at night comfortable - as did the beds which were very comfy! The location is authentically Sicilian and allows you to immerse in the local culture and community. Excellent restaurants, particularly at Hotel Aquamarine, which is just at the bottom on the hill and lets you eat right next to the ocean with the sound of the waves lapping at the rocks. A short walk from there along the promenade to Luna Rossa for ice cream - or further into the town for Blue Moon, definitely worth the extra walk!! The pool is just as huge and inviting as it looks on the pictures and with the natural saltwater system and minimal chemicals is a welcome change from a chlorine based pool. Our 8 year old was never out of it, including night swimming! Check in is flawless with the most fantastic welcome from Antonetta, who despite her lack of English and our lack of Italian, managed to show us around and explain everything perfectly. What a lovely lady! Communication with owner Francesco before and throughout the stay was excellent and property maintenance guy Wilfried who stopped by promptly if there any issues at all. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone

A fantastic place to stay

This is a lovely house. There is a great feeling of space and calm. The pool is gorgeous and well looked after. It is very well equipped including lots of store cupboard bits which it is annoying to have to buy for just one week. Francesco was extremely helpful and answered any questions very promptly. There was lots of useful information available in the house too with instructions, guide books etc. Absolutely loved our week there. Thank you.

Il collegamento pedonabile con il centro abitato è un po' infelice in quanto non completamente coperto da marciapiede o pista ciclabile.
