Villa Marianna is in Marina di Ragusa, 50 meters from the beach. The entire villa surrounded by its private garden is only for you. It has: 3 bedrooms (1 double and 2 with queen size bed), 2 bathrooms, large living room, fully equipped kitchen, laundry., air conditioning, television, free WIFI, shaded private parking, private garden. The villa is part of an elegant area surrounded by greenery, with a large swimming pool - open July and August (in 2023 till September 15) shared, children's playground and gardens.
Lovely eating outdoors overlooking the sea. Perfect location for touring South-Eastern Sicily, the astonishing baroque towns of Ragusa Ibla (location of Italian tv series "Inspector Montalbano"), Modica, Scicli, Noto. Only a few kilometers away are the excavations of Kaukana, Punta Secca (Montalbano’ s house and lighthouse), the archaeological Museum of Kamarina, and much more.

Active week

We loved having 4 nice bicycles to travel around town and along the beautiful coastline. The place had 2 large open patios, front and back both facing the coastline. Owner was easy to contact if we needed help with using appliances. The one appliance we wish we had was a microwave oven. Neighbours were also helpful in recommending restaurants and areas to see. The pool was huge and wonderful, and also had a ping pong table with racquets and balls close by.

Wonderful stay in Marina di Ragusa

We had two great weeks in Villa Marianna. The house was perfect for our needs, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen. Aircondition in each room. The pool is a short walk away, and was large and with nice sunbeds and parasols. Still, we mostly preferred going to one of the nice beaches in the area or in Punta Secca. When at the house, we spent most time outside on one of the patios, with a wonderful view of the ocean. The house is perfectly situated in a quiet residencial area, a short car ride from the center of Marina di Ragusa. There are four bikes at the house, and a great bike lane from the house to the town, so biking to the restaurants is very convenient. The Despar shop, which is a 5 minutes walk from the house, has basic groceries, but for larger shopping, we drove to Eurospar in town (5 min drive). We spent a lot of time exploring the country (Temple valley, Siracusa, Modica, Ragusa Ibla, Catania and Etna), and every time we came back to the house it felt like coming home. We would love to come back another time!

Hallo Carla, Wir möchten uns hiermit nochmals herzlich bei Ihnen bedanken, dass wir einige Zeit in Ihrem Haus verbringen durften. Im Rahmen unserer Italien Rundreise waren wir im Mai eine Woche dort und haben marina di ragusa als Ausgangspunkt für viele kulturelle Ausflüge genutzt. Das Haus und der Garten sind gepflegt und großzügig, so daß wir beide und unser Hund Apollo uneingeschränkt leben konnten. Die gesamte Anlage ist zudem sehr gepflegt. Wir wünschen Ihnen alles Gute, bleiben Sie gesund und munter. Peter und Gabriela und Apollo

Großzügiges Ferienhaus in wunderschöner Gartenlage

Das Haus liegt inmitten einer sehr gepflegten abgeschlossenen Ferienhausanlage ca. 3 km vom Zentrum von Marina di Ragusa entfernt, aber der kleine Nachbarort Casuzze mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ist gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Haus bietet ausreichend Platz für 5-6 Personen und ist sehr gut ausgestattet (u.a. Geschirrspüler, Waschmaschine, gutes WLAN). Nichts fehlt, an alles ist gedacht und es gibt eine Mappe mit sehr hilfreichen Informationen. Frühstücken auf einer der beiden Terrassen mit Meerblick ist einfach traumhaft, man kann auch den Sonnenuntergang auf der Dachterrasse genießen. Es gab sogar zwei Fahrräder (nicht in der Beschreibung enthalten), die wir sehr gut und ausgiebig nutzen konnten. Schöner abgetrennter Radweg nach Marina di Ragusa! Die bestens gepflegte Gartenanlage ist ein Traum! Zwar war der Pool (wie beschrieben) im September nicht mehr nutzbar, aber dafür sind außerhalb der Saison der Ortsstrand von Marina di Ragusa, vor allem aber der schöne naturbelassene Dünenstrand von Randello ohnehin viel empfehlenswerter! Sehr lohnende Ausflugsziele in der Nähe gibt es genug, etwa die Barockstädte Ragusa, Modica, Noto und der Palast von Donnafugata. Carla ist die ideale Gastgeberin hat uns jederzeit sehr hilfebereit mit allen wichtigen Informationen versorgt, Ein- und Auschecken war sehr flexibel und völlig problemlos. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist die unübersichtliche Sammlung von gefühlt 50 Schlüsseln für Einfahrt und Ausfahrt, Tore, Türen und Fenstergitter. Trotzdem alles in allem ein unvergesslicher Urlaub!

We had a wonderful stay in Marina di Ragusa. The villa was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The three terraces were very well used. We also made use of the bikes provided by Carla. These were an especially nice touch as there was a gentle ride along into Marina di Ragusa town along a purpose built cycle path a perfect way to get breakfast! The pool was also an added bonus. The other residents in the complex made us feel welcome even though we could speak very little Italian and they had only a little English! Carla was a great host and was extremely responsive to our needs. Check in and out was very flexible and stress free. The area around Marina di Ragusa is lovely with some beautiful beaches and the local baroque towns such as Ragusa are stunning. If you are fans of Inspector Montalbano (we are) then a visit to Ponte Secca is a must. We also ate at "Enricos" sitting in Inspecotor Montalbano's favourite spot! Our only regret is that we didn't book a longer holiday . Our aim was to have a relaxing family holiday that all four of us would enjoy - not as easy as it sounds with 2 teenagers in tow! However our stay at Marina de Ragusa has been voted as one of our favourite holidays and we would all love to come back. Thank you Carla for letting your lovely villa.

Wonderful holiday in Marina Di Ragusa at the beautiful Villa Marianna.

Villa Marianna is situated in a private, secure and well maintained residential development on the coast. The villa has lovely gardens and terraces, with sun loungers and tables /chairs for eating outdoors. The villa is very well equipped, including the kitchen - a real bonus if you enjoy cooking. The bedrooms and lounge / dining areas are spacious and comfortable. We hardly used the TV as we were outside most of the time, but found the wifi useful for finding information about the area. Our host had also left recommendations for restaurants, shops and beaches, which were helpful and accurate. We thought the beach at punta bracetto one of the nicest we have ever visited and went repeatedly. Despite it being August there were uncrowded beaches if you were prepared to hunt them out. The villa is situated on the coast and there is a safe cycle lane and walking/ running lane which stretches into Marina Di Ragusa and beyond, ideal for those who enjoy running, which we do. The sea is about 50m and early morning sea swimmng also featured as we had fabulous weather. There are shops within walking distance, we particularly enjoyed Casuzze, with excellent butchers, fishmongers and El Buffo cafe for coffee and daily gelato. The villa is ideally situated for visiting Ragusa and Modica as well as other baroque towns. There are fantastic restaurants in the area, we have never eaten so much ricotta, gelato and seafood. Finally all our arrangements worked brilliantly and Carla, our host most responsive and accommodating, particularly flexible about our arrival and departure times. We would thoroughly recommend Villa Marianna and the area, a wonderful holiday.
