This completely remodeled cottage includes all amenities, complete kitchen accessories, linens, towels, washer & dryer and outdoor grill.

Ideally located overlooking pristine Lake Waramaug. Large front porch has wicker furniture and cushions to enjoy morning coffee and evening sunsets.

The lake is ideal for state stocked fishing, as well as boating.
The cottage is only 90 min. from N.Y, to enjoy the Berkshire area and historic Litchfield County

Bliss cottage is a fun retreat where you can take an early morning walk or bike around the lake. It is within driving distance of historic Litchfield for great shopping, antiquing and theaters. Award winning Hopkins Vineyard and Hopkins Inn are available for wine tasting and dining a short walk from the cottage.

Perfect Getaway

Tom’s cottage was perfect for a short weekend away with close friends. The property was beautiful with perfect views of the lake and the foliage. The cottage was updated and had ALL the amenities to ensure your stay was exceptional. The pastries and fresh bread and butter were wonderfullly delicious and appreciated. Truly a Blissful Stay

The property and location is beautiful. The house is extremely well appointed and the host is amazing. Great communication and we felt very welcome. The restaurant and vineyard right next door were great and we enjoyed both. It's a lovely area and we will definitely return!

Fall peeping

Great location with a beautiful porch overlooking the lake. A walkable neighborhood with friendly people. Lots of small shops and restaurants a stones throw away. So quiet and relaxing.

Wonderful Cottage and Beautiful Area

Everything was as described. It was the perfect escape by the lake to decompress and enjoy the surrounding area. Host was friendly and called before the arrival date. He went over a few things and answered questions. He left some fresh bread and baked goods to enjoy and everything I needed was available. The only issue I had was with the coffee maker which just needs some maintenance. My dogs got to come and enjoy the lake and some great walks as well. Good fishing off of the semi-private beach, 4 bass averaging 2-3 lbs., that I could land. It was difficult because of the bank, bring a net and watch for wildlife if you want to fish! The cottage and location was exactly what I was looking for. I would definitely recommend checking it out if you want to enjoy the lake and do some hiking.

comfortable cottage with spectacular view

This is a well-equipped cottage with a great porch for reading, visiting and enjoying the wonderful view of Lake Waramaug. The king bed was very comfortable and the owner was prompt in replying to messages and very easy and pleasant.

Great Lake Cottage

Cottage and grounds are nicer than pictures indicate. Owner / Property manager is responsive and helpful. Location is A+. Great getaway for a small family. Hope to visit again soon.

Charming cottage with incredible view

This cozy cottage was perfect! It had everything we needed, including a great view of Lake Waramaug. Beds were super comfy and all linens were included. Hiking and biking trails were nearby. The Hopkins Inn and the Hopkins winery are right next door, and my husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Inn and shopping at the winery's gift store.

Wonderful Getaway

The cottage was lovely, and perfect for a nice weekend getaway for two. The view was great, and sitting on the front porch was so relaxing. Tom was a great host and very communicative and provided everything you would want and then some! Hopefully we will be able to go back next year.

Our host welcomed us after a long journey from Wisconsin, with wonderful jam, and handmade baked goods to enjoy. After being away from CT. for 30 years, we totally enjoyed the cottage and its' great view. The records and turntable fit right in with our memory tour. Everything was perfect! John and Barb K.

Hidden Gem in CT!

We could not have been more impressed with our stay at this cottage! Tom took such great care of us and we truly felt safe, clean, and comfortable during this covid-19 era. A true hidden gem that we couldn't recommend enough- Peaceful, beautiful, and with all you could need within walking distance!

Gorgeous Area

This is a lovely two bedroom cottage with a great view from the front porch. Everything we needed was there, and it's a great place for walking, taking a swim in the lake, and exploring in nearby small towns. The host was attentive. We will be back!

Great week on Lake Waramug!

We stayed at the cottage the last week of July 2020 and had a wonderful time. The house has everything you need including great views from the porch, lake access, floaties, corn hole and comfy beds. Tom was super helpful and always available if we had any questions.

Perfect getaway from NYC

The property is nicer in person than on the website. Tom left us an INCREDIBLE gift package of fresh bread and pastries upon our arrival. The lake is beautiful, and short walk/drive to the semi-private beach, and we used the floaties to hang out on the water with our puppies. Had a blast. Thanks, Tom!!

Lovely Getaway Spot!

The cottage is a great getaway spot. We enjoyed the view of the lake from the front porch . The mattresses were very comfortable which is a plus! We will definitely return again to this cottage!

Wonderful Bliss Cottage

We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend at Bliss cottage. Everything we needed was provided and exactly as advertised. Tom has a great place and we are happy he shared the cottage with us. The lake is fantastic and we hope to return for a longer visit someday.

Parardise on the lake

If we could give more than 5 stars we would. The lake is beautiful and the property is perfect. Tom's hospitality started by having cookies and muffins waiting for us. Including a great jam to spread on them. And dog biscuits for our puppy. There are many places of interest for walking and hiking. There are several quaint Connecticut towns nearby with great restaurants and shops. And a great restaurant right next door to the cottage. Do yourself a favor and visit the falls at the Kent state park. Thanks Tome we will be back next year.

This family owned property, was once part of the family's ownership of Hopkins Inn as well as the two homes next to the cottage. Passing down from generation to generation this is the fourth season that it will be available for rental since complete remodeling in 2015. Please see the comments that past guests have posted.

There is not a better view of Lake Waramaug available for renting. This is the only property for rental with a fabulous southern exposure as well as dining and vineyard within walking distance.
