The Southwest Gardens Apartment is a large one-bedroom, one-bathroom home located just one-block west from the Missouri Botanical Gardens, two-blocks north of the historic Tower Grove Park and less than a mile from The Hill neighborhood. This apartment comes with everything you would need for daily life and comfort. I only accept 30+ night reservations.

There are laundry machines located in the basement, High speed internet with Wi-Fi, smart TV's and a fenced back yard with a patio for your enjoyment. This apartment can sleep up to TWO guests: one king-sized bed with a memory foam mattress and linens included. In the kitchen you will find everything needed to prepare and serve a meal. The building is located in the Southwest Gardens Neighborhood right in the heart of the city, making it a perfect location for getting out and about in St. Louis.

This property is popular with travel nurses and located within minutes of many of the major hospitals and universities. Below is a list of the major hospitals and universities, if you do not see yours listed just ask and I will map it for you.

A: You can arrive anytime after 3:00pm. I can do earlier check in times if the apartment is ready. There is a lock box next to the main entrance of the building with your keys inside.

A: (10:00am) However I can do later check out times if I do not have another guest checking immediately after.

Q: Is the neighborhood safe?
A: Yes, I lived in this building for 10 years with no problems.

Q: Where is parking and does it cost anything?
A: Parking is on the street in front of the building, it is free and there is plenty for everyone.

Q: How many apartments are in the building?
A: There are four apartments in the building, two on each floor. This apartment is on the second floor.

SW Garden in St. Louis

Overall it was a great stay in a great neighborhood. The apartment/condo is as advertised. It's an old south St. Louis building, so it's typical style of that neighborhood. The place is generally updated, with a good sturdy bed, plenty of closet space for a short trip, and it's location is stellar. It's not a huge place, so if you're looking for something big then look elsewhere. For my family of 3 it was perfect. If I had to be picky I'd say the bathroom and kitchen were a little small. If you're tall you may have an issue with the bathroom (I'm not that tall). Owner seems nice and it was mostly quiet in the building. We came during a very hot stretch and the A/C kept us nice and cool. The laundry came in helpful too. Overall I would recommend!

Enjoyable stay

The apartment is as stated and looks just like the pictures. Mike is fantastic and always available. There are steps, and if you are on the 2nd floor, it can be challenging. Great location; everything is less than 10 min away. Six flags is a 30 min easy drive. I will book this location again and will refer all my friends. Thanks Mike!

Very nice neighborhood, close to Botanical Garden (great place) and to Tower Grove park (so nice to walk)... the apartment has all you need... it is easy go (by app) to down town and other areas. I’m happy to have chose this place.

Excellent location and apartment

Our family really enjoyed our stay in this Southwest Garden apartment and found the property comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully appointed. The owner (Mike) was incredibly helpful and prompt. We are already talking about another trip to STL in the future and hope to stay here again!

Historic STL

If you enjoy historic properties with tons of charm - this is the place for you! The location is super convenient to downtown STL and all the fabulous places in The Hill. So much better than a sterile, modern, cold hotel room.

Fine apartment in great area of St Louis city

The apartment is as advertised. It is located very near the Missouri Botanical Gardens, Tower Grove Park, the Hill (known for its Italian restaurants) and short drives to St. Louis University, Barnes Hospital, SLU hospital, Soulard area, downtown St. Louis with the arch, the stadium; virtually in the middle of all the St. Louis city attractions. The pictures provided show all the details of the apartment. Our unit was on the top (second) floor and was quiet. The unit was very clean. The king size bed is fine - not very hard but not squishy soft either. We did not use the other bedding so we cannot comment. I've seen some comments complaining about the toilet being too close to the bath tub. As shown in the pictures there is minimal space between the toilet and bath tub. But considering that I'm 6'4" with size 13 shoes, I was able to easily use the toilet, we have no complaint. Regarding parking, you are in the heart of the city; you need to parallel park on the street. One night we found space nearly in front of the apartment. The other night the only space was half a block away on the other side of the street. If you find such parking arrangements a problem, you might want to consider a hotel . . . most every city apartment is likely to have similar parking arrangements. We had no reason to communicate with the owner other than the standard communications via email through vrbo. The owner provides an extensive list of rules (most all things any decent renter would do house rule or no house rule) as well as a list of attractions and places to eat. The list would be helpful I'm sure for guests who are not familiar with St. Louis. All in all, a fine stay in a clean well equipped apartment conveniently located in a good neighborhood of St. Louis City.

Central location

The location was great! Very central to everything we wanted to do while in the area. The owners recommendations were great and we really enjoyed the places we did try. There was only 2 of us but there was plenty of room for more. Parking was a little tricky but we always found a spot nearby! We would stay here again. Thanks!

Great place, great price

The place was awesome. I brought a youth group of 13 and rented all four apartments in this building. Each apartment was clean, had awesomely comfortable beds, and a whole lot of room. Mike was easily accessible for anything we needed. If you're in St. Louis and need a place to stay this is a great option. Great neighborhood, close to everything.

Wonderful Stay in St Louis

My family and I stayed four days at this wonderful apartment in St. Louis. It was a great size for our family of four and centrally located to all the things we wanted to do. We found everything just as described in the listing. It was very clean and furnished very nicely. And most importantly, it was in a safe neighborhood. We had absolutely no problems while there nor complaints. We would definitely stay again when visiting the city. Thanks Mike for such great accommodations!

Perfect for our weekend getaway!

The place was perfect for me, my wife and son. We were all able to be together yet able to not be cramped up like you would be in a hotel room. Very clean. Also saw a previous post about the air conditioner not being able to keep the place cool. I’m a very hot natured person and it it stayed around 90-95 degrees out the whole time we were there, and never had a problem. Floors are a bit squeaky, which is to be expected in a building of that age. Overall would definitely recommend and likely to use if we come stay in STL again!

Meet me in St. Louie

Run, don’t walk—This is the PERFECT location for all that is St. Louis. Quiet, safe—CLEAN! Our two boys (ages 7 and 2) loved this apartment. There are games and a DVD player! Right around the corner from The Hill which has fab Italian food-right by the MO Botanical Gardens!! This property does not disappoint. We did run out of TP (ha!!) but it was our last night!! Onsite laundry was great-we did a load each night and are coming home with no dirty clothes (except the ones on our back!) This was our first VRBO experience and Mike had detailed information and everything was super easy! Thanks for a great stay! We left a little piece of our hearts there! <3 You will too.....

It was very comfortable and completely worth the money. The owner is extremely nice. I recommend his properties one and all. The stair are a killer but the building was built in the 1920’s which was unique and lovely

This property is very livable, clean and enjoyable. The owner kindly located a city map for us when we inquired and on 2 other occasions, immediately returned texts. We had no issues and that made for a very pleasant stay. We would return here if again in St Louis.

I bought this building because it is in a quiet, safe, and historic Southwest Gardens neighborhood. The centrality of the location allows you to drive, walk or bike easily around the city. This is a very safe neighborhood, I lived in this building from 2009 to 2019 with no problems. In the warmer months you will regularly see people out late at night running and/or walking the dog.

Location! The apartment is just one-block west of the Missouri Botanical Gardens and two-blocks north of Tower Grove Park. You can walk to several restaurants, shops, parks, the Missouri Botanical Gardens, grocery stores and so much more. Some of the close by neighborhoods that you can walk to include: South Grand, The Hill, Tower Grove South, Shaw, Central West End & The Grove. Also, you have easy freeway access to 64/40, 70, 55 and 44.
