During the months of July and August I only rent out weekly from Saturday to Saturday.

Enjoy the luxury of walking right across onto the glistening sand and surf in this oceanfront home with spacious, modern floor plan in Ortley Beach. Sit back and enjoy your morning cup or evening refreshment on the porch listening to ocean waves roaring and watching seagulls soaring.
The 1st FLOOR APARTMENT of this 2 family home sleeps six with two bedrooms and queen sofa bed. The primary bedroom has a queen size bed, large closet and private access to bathroom. The second bedroom/sitting room with ocean facing bay window has a sleigh daybed with twin size mattress and a twin size trundle bed, two lounging chairs, storage ottoman, 40' flat screen cable TV and DVD player. The living room has queen size sofa bed with mattress topper for added comfort, two comfy chairs, tables and enclosed 42' flat screen cable TV and DVD player. Sitting area by ocean facing double window in living room has bistro table with two chairs. Fully equipped kitchen has granite countertops with 4 stools around island and additional tile top table with 4 chairs and sliding glass door onto patio. Full bathroom with tub/shower. Large laundry room with washer and dryer. Home is also complete with internet, central air, linens and towels. Ocean facing front porch has seating for 4. Landscaped property has backyard with solid fence enclosed patio that has 2 grills, picnic table, table with umbrella, chairs and large outside enclosed shower. Paved driveway for off-street parking, additional free street parking and much more!
Relax and enjoy walking down the block to wonderful restaurants, ice cream shop, bagel store, fish market, salon, miniature golf/arcade and much more! Also close to parks with basketball and tennis courts, supermarket, liquor store, shops, bicycle and boat rentals. Just a little over a mile to Seaside Heights Boardwalk with rides, amusements, waterpark and weekly summer fireworks. Great fishing at both the ocean and Barnegat Bay.

This was our first time to Ortley Beach. The proximity to morning coffee and breakfast was wonderful. Our dogs enjoyed the backyard and the beach just as much as our two kids. The kitchen is well equipped. We had everything we needed. Easy check in and check out. Joann is a breeze to communicate with.

The house was lovely.

Very clean and comfortable except the queen mattress was too firm for our backs. Overall, it was a nice getaway.

Lovely home away from home

Very comfortable first floor unit right across from the beach. The unit has a nice porch, and lovely backyard with a shower. The interior is open plan, living room, dining and kitchen with two big bedrooms. You can walk to a bagel store and a few restaurants, but a short drive to the popular stores and restaurants. The host was very nice and I would not hesitate in booking again.

Great House, Great Host

House layout and location were great. JoAnn was very responsive, friendly, and helpful during the booking and check-in process. We often travel with our dogs but have never stayed at a property with a fenced in yard until JoAnn's- gamechanger! Our dog enjoyed the beach air and sunbathing as much as we did. We can't wait to go back!

Wonderful House, Location and owner

Highly recommend this home for your beach stay! It is steps from the beach and a short walk to some restaurants and arcade. The house was very clean and we were greeted with a nice tote bag and a bag of candy, which our kids appreciated. The owner quickly answered all our questions. We appreciated the outdoor shower after trips to the beach and the grill was a nice feature as well. The kitchen was very well stocked and provided everything we needed! Extra little touches such as perfumes, hair ties, sewing kit, etc in the bathroom mirror were a fun find! Plenty of towels and extra blankets available as well. Definitely would return!

Beach getaway

We had a great week at the beach. The property is directly across the street from the boardwalk and an entrance down to the beach. There are restaurants and coffee shops all with a few minute walk making the location even better. Also don’t miss Ortley fish market around the corner for amazing fresh fish!

Great location!

The house was a perfect fit for us. Immaculate and comfortable, with a lovely front porch that catches the ocean breeze all day. It’s steps to the beach, a block from some cute restaurants, and close enough to Seaside boardwalk that our teen daughter and her friends could walk there, but far enough to be quiet at night. The owner, Joanne, was very gracious and helpful. We can’t wait to stay here again!

A Gem of a place

Fabulous property. The photos on VRBO don't do it justice. Its much larger impeccably decorated, well stocked with anything you could possibly need. Outdoor shower which is great for rinsing after beach. Beach is right across the street. BBQ on patio. I cant say enough. Highly recommend.

Great Place!

I went down with my sister. The place was very, very nice, roomy and clean and the location was great! The ocean is right across the street. The Host - Joann was absolutely wonderful! Very kind and helpful. She made sure everything was great with our stay. I brought my little dog and the town is pet friendly which was nice too. We enjoyed our stay so much and look forward to coming back in the future. Denise

Great low key family vacation

This was the perfect little family vacation and escape. The house is literally right next to the beach, easy access to board walk, great restaurants near by. Loved that it was so close to seaside but far enough away as well. JoAnn was attentive, super flexible and responsive. We went to Crab's Claw Inn for dinner in next town over, which was really yummy. There was an ice cream shop right next door to restaurant and cute shops all around. The Fish market and bagel shop down the street from the house were great! Would recommend for anyone looking for a low key vaca.

Great beach stay!

We loved our time here. The location is great, the house was sparking clean and very spacious! The backyard area was great as well. We loved everything about it. My only comment is there are new construction homes being built directly across the street from the house which to me, makes this no longer “oceanfront” or “oceanview”. Totally out of the owners control, which I understand, but still. The steps to beach access- the first entrance to the beach is right there which is awesome but the space on that part of the beach is extremely Small and not flat, barely enough space to put 2 beach chairs. The ideal part to set up chairs and a big enough space for the day at the beach is down a block at the other entrance.. which again is fine and out of the control of the owner, but it makes “steps to the beach”, while true technically… but you’ll be walking a block over. Overall I would recommend this house, but if I book again I would go a few blocks over (closer to Lavellette side) so the beach is ideal and views are better. :)

September Getaway

We were looking for a week long get away in mid September and came across this property. It was a perfect fit for us, we got lucky with great summer like weather too! The location was fantastic, close to eateries and shops. And most importantly it was a 2 second walk to the entrance of the beach! The property itself was very clean and inviting with an open feel. It had plenty of space for us and our infant son. We brought our dog with us as well and he loved the fenced in yard! JoAnn was very understanding and was very personable, making sure we had what we needed. She was easy to reach and answer any questions if needed. We loved the location so much and would definitely book again! Hopefully we can next year!

Love This House!

Our family had a great stay at this home. It's spacious, very clean, is well-appointed, has a great backyard and porch, and the proximity to the beach and area attractions can't be beat. JoAnn, the owner is very nice and extremely easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again!

Gorgeous beach front property

Host Joann was very helpful and friendly. She graciously accommodated our party of 2 dogs and 5 adults for a birthday weekend. She provided restaurant recommendations, was there to greet us on our timeline and flexible about check-in and check-out. First floor unit is perfect with well equipped kitchen and lots of towels. Perfect for a couple with a couple of children.

Relaxing Stay

The property is extremely clean and well maintained! JoAnn is very responsive, easy to communicate with, and was there to greet us when we arrived. The weather was not the best, however there are plenty of fun things just a short drive away that can entertain the family on rainy days. The location could not be better for beach access. We are looking forward to booking again!
