“Serenity Sands” is exactly that!

Can't say enough about our recent stay at "Serenity Sands." The communication with the Better Beach rental office personnel was prompt and helpful. Check-in and check-out were fast and simple. And the house? Fantastic!! It’s not often that a vacation rental is actually better than the photos and description, so we were very pleased. The home has been expertly renovated with stylish touches, new appliances, and comfortable furnishings. We especially enjoyed the new salt water pool and beautiful decking. "Serenity Sands" indeed! Thank you for a great week!

Amazing location, great spacious home!

Overall we really loved our stay at serenity sands. Awesome location right on the beach on a very quiet end of the island. Can’t say enough about how great that was for our family reunion (8 adults and 5 kids under the age of 8). The marina with boat rental and restaurant on the bay literally around the corner also made it super convenient. The decks, swing, huge kitchen, shuffle board table and hot tub all were huge assets. The pool being under the house made it a bit too cold for our kids in late May, but could see that being a plus in the heat of the summer. A few small details appeared to be the result of some wear and tear - and our only small concerns were the outdoor shower was not working and the TV’s were difficult to operate/broken. Overall - would definitely recommend and we would love to go back!!

Generally good

Felt property wasn't properly inspected prior to our arrival. Largest disappointment was that dishwasher was not functioning when we arrived nor was it repaired during our stay. With a group of 14, this was most inconvenient. Also, drain in master shower was partially clogged and didn't drain. That was partially resolved during stay. other issues, overhead light in king bedroom not working, fan control missing from two rooms, etc. were inconveniences.

Good memories were made

Our experience was good the ceiling in the main living room shows some signs of water damage. the issue we had with one light switch was corrected in a timely inefficient manner

Great house for large family get together .

This is our second year renting this ocean front beach house for our family get together on Memorial Day weekend. Love the beachy feel the new owners accomplished with different decor inside and out. The house is beautiful and spacious . Kitchen is well equipped for preparing and serving meals( we only had to take an electric fry pan and waffle maker). Sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch looking at the ocean was so peaceful! The young people enjoyed pool, hot tub and shuffle board table. Being across the street from the marina was a plus as we docked our boat there and only had a short walk to get to it. "The Fish House" restaurant at the marina is a great place to eat! Our family(five generations represented, ages 86 to 10 months) had a great time making precious memories!

Needs attention

This house has great location, amenities, and layout but needs some attention. Upon arrival, the outside shower had food in it. The ice maker, dish washer and several televisions did not work. Some of the mattresses were uncomfortable and the twin room could not be used because they only had box springs. The kids had to sleep with parents. The shower was cleaned within 30 minutes of being called. The dishwasher was fixed but nothing else was corrected. The house has such potential and we would stay there again only if assured these items are addressed.

Disappointed

We came in on Friday April 4, the ice machine never worked the whole time we were there, the jacuzzi tub didn't work in the master bathroom, the hot tub did not work until Monday, which I called about on Friday when we got there, one of the toilets broke on the second floor, which had been fixed with a plastic tie, and the pool never got warm, the elevator only worked sometimes, and we had handicapped people with us, I called about this on Friday when we got there and nothing was ever done besides getting the hot tub going on Monday, and we left on Tuesday, I had to also pay extra to use the hot tub and pool, very disappointing
