Available for rent for fall football weekends and for other stays beginning July 1, 2019, this very nice, clean, well-cared for home is in the historic Harter Heights neighborhood only blocks from the front gates of Notre Dame. Enjoy a leisurely stroll to campus, walk to Eddy Street, or hang out on the front porch or in the yard before and after the game. You can hear the band practicing from the yard! The house is on a leafy street and surrounded by beautiful turn-of-the 20th-century houses. A great home for the memories you'll treasure of a weekend at Notre Dame.

Pricing on non-event dates is $225/night.

Lovely Home

The house was great - only a few blocks from campus and within walking distance of restaurants and bars. Plenty of room for 8 people to spread out. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet with plenty of parking. We enjoyed our stay in South Bend and hope to return next year!

Nice place

I had a really good stay. Nice barbeque. It took me a couple of days to figure out how to turn on the shower. There is part of the faucet that you pull down. DOH! Very comfortable, very clean. decent beds, and super responsive owner.

Fun and convenient place to stay close to campus

Seven of us stayed for the USC weekend and loved the place, as a group all would like to return. It is convenient to campus in a safe and quiet neighborhood (said "hi" to Digger Phelps when he walked by). In comparison to other places I've rented through HomeAway (Palm Springs, Gatlinburg), the house was not luxurious or fancy (thus 4 stars vs 5), however it was very clean and comfortable. My wife and I slept in the master-bedroom which had a comfortable mattress. Our 6'3" son slept in the sun-room, which he loved. The bathrooms were also very clean and the water pressure was good. We had seven adults, but not enough towels, so I would advise bringing an extra bath towel or two, along with soap/shampoo. Also, you'll need extra linen if you bring an air mattress. The kitchen was relatively small but also very clean and well supplied. While the house as a whole was very clean, the coffee pot had to be cleaned (small point). In these politically sensitive times, be prepared for the Reagan calendar (thumbs up all around) and an NRA coffee mug (not so popular). All were in favor of returning someday. The owners clearly want to make it a safe, comfortable, family friendly place to stay for a great ND experience.

Thanks for the great feedback. Sorry about the towels - I must have miscounted, but we always try to provide enough towels for our guests, and a few extra in case. Previous renters have left many items in the house over the years, so I can't promise every mug and calendar will be to people's taste, but I'll take a look and remove anything overly controversial! Lastly, we do clean the house thoroughly for incoming renters, but I must have overlooked the coffee pot. My apologies. That won't happen again. Glad you enjoyed your weekend!

Convenient and pleasant house perfectly situated

The owner was incredibly accommodating, even running over with a hairdryer to loan me when I realized I’d forgotten one! The house is pleasantly decorated, the kitchen is excellent and the location can’t be beat. We loved being so close to campus and enjoyed the quiet of a residential street. Excellent overall and good value!

Amazing location, great neighborhood, clean and comfortable..

As others mentioned, the wallpaper and furnishings are dated, but the house is comfortable and the location to ND campus is excellent! Owner was responsive and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location

We loved staying at this house for Junior Parent Weekend at Notre Dame 🍀. We were able to bring our dogs and visit with our son. Patrick the owner answers any questions you have promptly, and he's very friendly. We would definitely stay at this house again.

A Good Place to Stay

Family stayed for weekend of USC game. Extended stay for a week to visit with family at ND. Home is in GREAT location for visit to ND. Place is clean and comfortable, and has all you need. Owner is a good guy to work with.

Excellent Experience

We enjoyed staying at this house. It was clean. Everything functioned. It had a big screen tv to watch football. And most importantly it was within walking distance of the Notre Dame campus and stadium and the beautiful new (to us) Eddy St restaurants and shops. I would highly recommend this house if you are visiting the Notre Dame campus for any reason.

Excellent place

A true vintage, large and clean home in a super quiet neighborhood. Once we got there we never moved the car. Easy walk to the Notre Dame campus, shops and restaurants.
