Beautiful 2-bedroom condo directly on Kite Beach- perfect for a relaxing getaway

This tastefully appointed condominium will provide you with a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the laid back pace of beachfront island living. The condominium is located on a beautiful stretch of sandy shoreline internationally renowned for its consistent onshore kiting breeze. Unlike many properties listed in Cabarete, the beautiful sand beach and reef-protected break in front of our condo provide a great place to swim and paddle board. Our small, six-unit complex provides a tropical oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the energetic community of Cabarete and a hidden pool surrounded by beautiful gardens provides a great escape from the mid-day wind and sun. Please note that Cabarete has strict laws prohibiting prostitution and our condo security will immediately evict any tenant suspected of inviting prostitutes onto the property.

Our condominium has been a wonderful oasis for numerous families and travelers over the years and the combination of beautiful woods, stone, and tile have created a lovely space to rest and relax. The condominium has two well-appointed bedrooms and two clean and efficient bathrooms with glass enclosed showers. Each bedroom has a comfortable King Size bed and there is an available hotel-quality rollaway twin available if needed. Each bedroom also has quiet and efficient ceiling fans, access to a small poolside balcony, and A/C units if needed for warmer nights.

The Palacio Atlantico condominium complex is a small, well-managed complex and is staffed 24 hours a day for your comfort and security. In addition, our personal condo unit is managed by a wonderful woman named Kathy Santos who will provide an on-island, English-speaking, point of contact for you throughout your stay. Kathy is a veritable encyclopedia of local knowledge and will be eager to assist in making your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Kathy is a wonderful host and will work to make sure that your arrival, stay, and departure goes well. If desired, Kathy will be more than pleased to assist in arranging for groceries upon your arrival, arrange for airport pickup, or arrange for tours or activities in the region for an additional charge.

The renovated mahogany and quartz kitchen is equipped with a 36” propane range, gas oven, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, blender and a number of other small appliances. There is a small Weber grill on our ocean-front balcony for your use and all of the necessary utensils, pots, pans, plates, bowls, glasses, and mugs will be available for your use throughout your stay.

For your convenience and entertainment, we recently installed a new 50” LED Smart television in the living room and a small TCL smart TV in the bedroom. The televisions will allow for streaming with your subscription to most streaming services but the view from the deck typically means the TV is rarely used. Please note that the internet in the Dominican Republic can be sporadic at times and we honestly try to view active WiFi as a bonus and not a given. That said, we have recently installed a fiberoptic connection and speeds up to 100 MB/S can be obtained upon request (typically maintained at approximately 30MB/S).

Each weekly rental includes mid-week maid service to include delivery of new towels, and general cleaning of the unit. Longer rentals will include weekly visits to change linens and provide general housekeeping in addition to the mid-week service. If you would prefer more frequent maid service it can be arranged in advance of your trip or during your stay by contacting our manager Kathy for an additional fee. On site guest laundry services are available and we would ask that you contact our manager Kathy to arrange for our housekeeping staff to assist with your laundry needs for a reasonable charge. Although we trust our building staff implicitly, we provide a programmable lockbox for storage of your personal items in the master bedroom for your peace of mind.

It is important to note that Cabarete is prone to occasional power outages as with many small third world communities. Our complex is equipped with a diesel generator for use in the event of a prolonged outage and our unit has battery-based inverters to supply electricity for shorter duration electrical outages. We also ask our guests to understand that electricity is quite expensive in the Dominican Republic and costs spike exponentially after a certain kW threshold is reached. That said, we encourage our renters to avoid overuse of the A/C units throughout the daytime hours and reserve the right to withhold a portion of the damage deposit for electrical costs if there is a gross overuse during a given stay (2x our normal kW usage). Our guests have always respected this policy and we have never needed to withhold any funds for an electrical overage to date.
