Cozy renovated barn with access to Delaware canal and Delaware river in quiet town of Upper Black Eddy, about 20 miles from New Hope. Close to Frenchtown, NJ. Great starting point to explore upper Bucks county and the river. Relaxing porch with rockers, pool for floating, and towpath for walking, running and bike riding. Steps and deck on River for easy access. Wifi and flat screen tv. Full kitchen with dish washer. Washer and dryer. Antique beds and bedroom furniture. Two Bedrooms, (1 Queen, 1 full) that are connected (you must walk through one to get to the other) on second floor with 1 full bath on 1st floor.

The Barn Cottage is one of our favorite trips. I think it's the fifth time we have stayed there....and will continue to return, if invited Linnea is a wonderful host...the Cottage is immaculate and sooo cozy. The property grounds, which has access to a towpath, is a great plus! We always enjoy many walks with my pup.

Very pleasant stay. Beautiful property and cottage. Just cross the street to the deck over looking the Delaware river, very peaceful. Also, you’re minutes away from restaurants, parks, and shopping. Had a great stay and we will be back in the summer.

We had an amazing time. The area is perfect for outdoor activities biking and trail walking, quaint towns with great restaurants. Loved our stay at the barn cottage. Great hosts. Lovely property.

Great place

Exactly what we wanted. Listing was accurate. Beds were very comfortable. Clean. Enjoyed the pool. Great location. Welcome muffins and half and half were nice touches. Well stocked. Great communication with owner who lives on property in a separate house. Yard is gorgeous.

The location of the property is in a pleasant tranquil area accessible to small interesting towns within 20 minutes.The temperature during our stay was often 90 degrees and the downstairs air con struggled to cope. The kitchen and barn in general are well stocked with everything you could need and the garden and pool are beautiful.The reason we couldn’t give 5 stars is due to the bathroom being on the ground floor and needing to go downstairs during the night is not easy or convenient when requiring all lights to illuminate the stairs. This is not stated in the property listing and would be worse if sharing the property with another couple, as everyone’s privacy is compromised by needing to pass through the 1st bedroom.From the property photos we had looked forward to spending time sitting by the river with our lunch during our stay, but unfortunately the area was found to be overgrown and the seating neglected.It was lovely to see the many breeds of wild birds in the garden along with the deer and Canadian geese visitors.

Relaxing, quiet and beautiful

Excellent for short stays. We did have an on sight issue. Fixed within hrs. Great communication. The grounds and pool were amazing.

Fantastic stay in Upper Black Eddy

We had a wonderful stay at the barn cottage - Kevin and Linnea are great hosts and met us upon check-in to make sure we could get into the property and knew where everything was. They were extremely gracious and even let our two young sons use some fun toys they had in their garage! The cottage had everything we needed and was very well-appointed and clean. The location is quiet and idyllic, perfect for our family to stay while we were visiting family nearby in Milford. Sadly it rained the whole time we were there so we didn’t get to try out the pool, but the water seemed to be a nice temperature and the pool was very clean and well-maintained. Overall our stay was everything we were looking for, and we would highly recommend this cottage to folks visiting the area!

Wonderful and Peaceful

Everything was perfect! The barn cottage was even sweeter in real life, and the grounds are just beautiful. Nature lovers will be in heaven. The hosts are lovely and they have thought of every detail. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Charming & Convenient

This is a cozy cottage on pretty, tranquil, birdsong-filled grounds, with easy walking access to the Towpath and the river. Perfect for small families like ours - the hosts were even kind enough to bring out a scooter for my son to play with in the driveway. They have pretty much everything covered - the only thing you might need are some spices and oils if you’re planning to cook. Really loved how easy it was to get to the area sights. Especially enjoyed the Towpath walk to the Homestead a mile or so away and the nearby river towns. Lots of great suggestions in the hosts’ guide.

Wonderful property and hosts

My bff and I enjoyed a getaway in Bucks County and loved our stay at the Barn. Perfect location, well appointed, terrific host. I don’t recall the text accompanying the original description so folks should know there are steep steps to the second floor (where the bedrooms are) and ghat you must go through the first bedroom to reach the second. So if utmost privacy is an issue (it was not for us) it wouldn’t be optimal. Bathroom is on first floor. We had a fabulous time and loved sitting by the river and walking the tow path.

Lovely Stay

Great location. We especially enjoyed the towpath trail behind the house, which we took to Milford. The gas fire made the little living room cozy; the perfect place for reading and relaxing. Didn’t do any cooking but the kitchen would have been perfect for that. Bright clean bedrooms.

Barn House Adventure

The Barn House was unique. Antiques everywhere made me claustrophobic especially the lamps next to the bed at the top of the steps. Just so much stuff. Otherwise, I liked the field out back and we did venture to the canal path. The notebook was detailed with places to go and history (went to ringing rocks:). We saw a HUGE deer in the middle of the night when fireworks were set off somewhere close. Next to the river was beautiful. Thanks for the muffins :).

The Perfect Getaway

My sister, myself and my doggie daughter absolutely adore this property. We return every year for our pre Christmas shopping trip and always have a wonderful stay....even despite the occasional bad weather. We appreciate the immaculate condition of the Barn and love being able to take long walks along the Towpath that is located right in the backyard! Linnea is an especially super Host...always available and goes above and beyond at paying extra attention to the amenities, making you feel so welcome and at home.

Pre-Christmas getaway

Our stay was excellent, the property was so clean and the accommodations were perfect. The details were so thoughtful, coffee and creamer that my husband loved was perfect and the muffins were delicious. It was wonderful to see a Christmas tree and the entire Barn decorated. It made our stay so special, the owners took a great deal of time and effort to ensure that we enjoyed our stay and we did! Highly recommend the Barn! big hit!

Adorable Cottage

We had a great stay. We slept wonderfully in the comfy cozy beds and had everything we needed. Linnea even left us tasty local coffee, half and half and wonderful muffins! We even went to the Homestead and got more coffee to take home. We really enjoyed our visit to the area and this cottage was an excellent choice 😊

Perfect little barn cottage

The barn cottage had everything you could possibly need. It was decorated so nice inside and even out on the porch. The location was great, close to hiking trails, other activities, shopping and plenty of food choices in the area. The hosts were very nice and accommodating.

Sister Getaway

My sister and I had a peaceful relaxing few days. The property is beautiful, the 60 mile trail is conveniently behind the house. Linnea is a thoughtful host and provides everything you need for your stay. I highly recommended staying at this property. Thank you for a lovely stay Linnea

Peaceful and serene. Close to many restaurants and antiquing areas. Back of property has access to the towpath of the Delaware State Park canal with miles of walking and bike riding opportunities. Front of property has access to the Delaware River, great tubing and kayaking. We are about 2 miles from Ringing Rocks State Park, a very unique park with a large boulder field which "ring" when hit with a hammer!
