Our villa is set between hills and sea and overlooks the small town of Cavi di Lavagna, where you can find bars, restaurants and shops. Along the coastline, at a few kilometres of distance between them, lie several small towns where the local seafood and natural products of the lush inland are served in the restaurant. Because of the privileged position of our villa, you can reach many interesting places in a short time. In the West, a gorgeous scenic road leads to Portofino, worldwide famous for its setting, its steep cliff high up above the sea. In the Mount of Portofino it’s worth visiting the beautiful San Fruttuoso - that can be reached by boat or trekking on its many paths - its medieval abbey and marine sanctuary, where you can go snorkelling and scuba diving.A few kilometers away, you’ll reach the enchanting Camogli, with its small fishing village, and Recco, internationally known for its “focaccia al formaggio”, a kind of cheese pie. A 30 kilometers you’ll find Genoa – its squares, churches, aquarium and old docks, il “Porto Antico”, are worth a visit as well as the little train that from Casella climbs on the mountain slopes of Appennino Ligure among scenic views. In the East, Sestri Levante will greet you with its charming “Baia del Silenzio”, a secluded bay. Cinque Terre are five villages high up above the sea, linked by footpaths, that can be reached also by train. You can cover the distance between them on foot, taking in the enchantment of every single village. We loved our stay in the small, special town of Cavi. Vincenzo was a fantastic host that was kind enough to pick us up at the train station even though we were later getting in than anticipated. He also took us to the train station at the end of our stay. We had everything we needed and had a very positive experience. The house and view are great!

Beautiful home with breath taking views. The home was spectacular, clean, had everything you could possibly need. Beds were comfortable, living room had plenty of seating for 5 of us, dining room had a nice big table for all of us and patio overlooking the sea was amazing. Loved the hot tub, played games out on the patio and just enjoyed the views. Vincenzo was an amazing host. Very helpful.

Villa Stay

Loved the villa, bright, airy, great location. You could walk to the bus stop in 10 minutes or less, the beach, restaurants, shops all right there. Short walk to Sestri Levante. Vincent was very accommodating and helpful. We had a wonderful stay.

We had the best time here.

Very nice apartment with lots of extras, had a well-equipped kitchen with a large refrigerator and automatic ice & cold water dispenser. Very comfortable with a great view, made for a relaxing stay, thank you, Vincenzo you were a great host. The elevator and garage parking are worth mentioning too.

My home away from home!

This was my 3rd stay at Vincenzo’s lovely home and I’ve already booked it for next year. He and his family are incredible and the house with its amazing views is absolutely stunning. It is a great base on the Ligurian coast whether venturing out or just staying in for a day to enjoy and relax. Simply my favorite place ever!

One of the best experiences i’ve had.

Property is wonderful and well maintained. There are beautiful views from every level with lots of space and charming rooms. Linens were lovely and there is an ice maker in the fridge. Vincenzo is a pleasant and helpful host. We all very much enjoyed our stay. Area is great to explore many parts of Liguria.

Beautiful Seaside escape

The home was spacious and clean with amazing views. It had an elevator that made bringing luggage up very easy. It was a short (10-15 min) walk down to the beach. Beautiful hot tub on the terrace overlooking the amazing views. The host was very kind.

Amazing view beautiful villa

Our host was extremely helpful answering all of our questions and giving us ideas of places to go. The Villa itself is very roomy for 4 couples. I would highly recommend staying here. Getting a bus to Sesti Laventa is easy to walk to. Then a train to the Cinque Terre area is very easy. We utilized the hot tub quite a bit.

Beautiful view of the sea

We really enjoyed our stay at Vicenzo's house. The house itself is very comfortable with lots of space, but the best feature is definitely the deck that faces the water. We spent lots of time out there, soaking in the sun. It was a perfect spring vacation. Vicenzo is a great host and was very responsive whenever we needed anything. The location is perfect for day trips to places like Portofino, Santa Margherita, Cinque Terre, and Genoa.

The View

This is our second time staying in Vincenzo’s home. The view cannot be beat. You will enjoy the attention to detail that makes a difference, from the ice maker, filtered water, plenty of pillows to the awning over the outdoor table. Upgrades have been made since last time like the kitchen has been redone, and every bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom. A very comfortable, enjoyable stay.

Beautiful Villa by the coast with spectacular sea views and with all comforts, great hosts

We stayed here during the off-season in late Nov-early December time and were very happy with the location close to the Cavi beach and in 7 minutes drive (20 min walk down hill) to Sestri Levante and Lavagna where we had excellent dining experiences. Vincenzo was very supportive and always available as needed and we were able to dine in and eat out. We were allowed to park in the indoor garage. Even in wintry and rainy weather, the apt is cozy and highly recommended as a place to unwind and enjoy Ligurian experience. Dog friendly villa and neighbourhood. It was a 5 star experience

Beautiful Home

We stayed at Vincenzo's villa in September 2023. Vincenzo is a wonderful host! He took our friends to the market when they arrived as my husband and I arrived a few days later. When we had to leave for Tuscany, Vincenzo was very helpful arranging our cars. The view from the villa is spectacular. It is super clean and well stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. The bedrooms are all beautiful; we fell asleep every night to the sound of the ocean. It doesn't get better than that! Thank you Vincenzo, for everything!

Fabulous!

I can’t say enough great things about this property. It was absolutely stunning and the location was perfect for our retreat to/from Cinque Terre. The views and sunsets, were spectacular. Nested on a quiet street, we had all the peace and quietness for great nights of relaxation. Located a short walk to the Cavi train station, we caught the train(45-50 minutes) into the five villages of Cinque Terre, daily. Property owner/manager Vincenzo, was very communicative and very helpful in getting us taxis, running us to the grocery store and to train station in Sestri Levante. He made sure we were comfortable, and had enough firewood to enjoy the fireplace. We would, without hesitation, stay here again and we would highly recommend.

2 weeks in Cavi

There were 8 of us for the first week and 4 for the second week. We had an amazing time both weeks! There were 3 couples and 2 singles that shared a room. One of us uses a wheelchair, so we used the elevator. However, the shower in the accessible room is tight if you are completely immobile. Vincenzo was a great host! He helped us set up a private chef one night that was fabulous! I’d love to go back! We spent many days in Sestri Di Levante next to Cavi and it’s also where the grocery is. We highly recommend Il Bargenello pizza in Sestri and a visit to the accessible winery tour at Cantina Bisson.

Ocean Views in Liguria

This was a gem of a property in a town off of the main foreign tourist circuit, Cavi di Lavagna, but conveniently positioned for trips car or train (+ ferry) to other nearby sites, such as the Cinque Terre, Genova and Portofino. You could also easily transfer to other major centres, such as Florence or Milan, by train from the main station at the next stop over, Sestri Levante. For shoppers, the house also is only about 1.25 hours by car to the Serrevalle outlet mall. It was fun to be some of the only English speakers on the beach in Cavi and at the local restaurants - one of the young servers said that we were the first Canadians she had ever served. The local restaurants were very good, with excellent seafood dishes. Also, the views from the patio of the Ligurian seaside, particularly at moonlight, were as if they were from a painting. We found the bedrooms, each with an en-suite and air conditioning, to be comfortable. Vincenzo is a kind and gracious host and an absolute joy to deal with. Those with mobility issues will likely need to drive to and from town, as the property is up the hill from the town at the base; however, Liguria generally is quite vertical. We would love to return one day.

Amazing view and GREAT Host

We had 4 couples that rented the villa together and were all impressed and would definitely return. The villa and views were just as pictured. The host was amazing!!! I don't know if you would find a better host than Vincent. He lives on the property and was so helpful during our entire stay. He picked us up from the train station and made two trips to get all of us and our luggage to and from the villa. He also brought us the the grocery store so we could pick up groceries for the week. He coordinated an amazing chef to come to the villa for a cooking class/dinner experience which was wonderful. The villa was spacious with an elevator to get to the various floors. We enjoyed evenings on the patio, in the hot tub and watching the sunset. We each had our own bedroom and bathrooms. Even though some showers were small, that wasn't an issue since we didn't have to share. When we booked this villa, we thought it was one of the Cinque Terre villages, but it is one of the outer ones between Portofino and the Cinque Terra villages. It was easy to get to all of them. Since the villa was higher up (spectacular views), it was a walk down the hill to get to the train that brought us to the various villages. We actually preferred staying in this village as it wasn't as over crowded with tourists, but just as beautiful. We LOVED IT.
