Must book for at least 30 days, and come and go as you please!

Beautifully updated, furnished, private, stand-alone cottage apartment with exquisite finishes in safe, Uptown NOLA neighborhood. It's a studio apartment with a full sized kitchen and full sized appliances. Close to everything you want to do: eating, drinking, running on St Charles Ave or Audubon Park, zoo, Magazine Street shopping, French Quarter frolicking.

A couple was recently engaged to be married in this cottage!

Join us for The Holidays, Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, Valentines Day or any of the many NOLA festivals throughout the year.

Mardi Gras Day happens at the end of our driveway. All other Uptown parades are 5 blocks away. In general, it's a great place for a single person or couple looking to get away and experience comfort and privacy.

Amenities: cable, fully equipped kitchen, gleaming white quartz countertops, white tile floor in kitchen, air/heat and stainless steel appliances, tiled bathroom, secure entrance, outdoor space and seating.

A car isn't really necessary for your visit in NOLA if you are just touring around. We are in such a central area that an Uber or Lyft are often close. We are 5 blocks from the streetcar, which takes you al the way downtown to Canal Street/French Quarter and all the way Uptown to Carrollton. You can see all the beautiful St Charles Ave mansions without having to pay attention to the road! We are 1/2 block from a bus stop. There is ample and free parking on the street, unlike downtown.

Great for short or long

I stayed here for a full month and couldn't have been happier! This place comes sparkling clean and has all the amenities you could want or need. I could've easily been comfortable for even longer! The bed is amazingly comfortable also (and I have a very sensitive back!). Super quiet, you can sleep in (or not!) as much as you want here. Karl and Monika are amazing hosts and are quick to respond to any questions. The neighborhood is safe and there are great bars and restaurants in short walking distance that are great neighborhood places, if you're looking to avoid the bourbon street madness. Parking is abundant and everything you need is within a couple of miles. Starbucks ~5 mins, rouses grocery ~ 7 mins, fresh market ~7 mins, all the bars and restaurants you need on freret st. ~10 mins walking, ~3 mins driving. Being in a detached cottage in the back also provides privacy so you feel like you have this cozy little new orleans oasis all to yourself! Amazing find, definitely book this place!

Wonderful Anniversary Stay

Monika and Karl were wonderful hosts. The cottage was beautifully decorated, very clean and well appropriated. We had everything we needed for a peaceful and relaxing stay. The cottage was easy to find and centrally located to lots of amazing food and shopping! We will definitely be back again!

Great Location

We really enjoyed our stay at the uptown cottage. The location was central to many restaurants and a very easy walking distance to the streetcar. The cottage itself was cozy, comfortable, and inviting. Monika and Karl were great hosts and we hope to visit again soon.

Excellent Place In an Excellent Location

Monika and Karl's cottage was more than adequate for our (two people) stay in New Orleans. The location of the property is peaceful, and the neighborhood is beautiful. Upon arrival, Karl showed us around the place and familiarized us with the area. The cottage was spotlessly clean and we had everything we needed available to us for our weekend stay. I would definitely stay here again if I return to New Orleans.

Perfect location for exploring NOLA!

This cottage was the perfect launch point to explore NOLA. Quiet and cozy retreat in Uptown. Tasty restaurants and cafes nearby on Freret and Magazine. Short walk to the St Charles Street Car for trips to Lafayette Cemetery in the Garden District and downtown to Ogden Museum, French Quarter and Frenchman Street. Also easy access via streetcar to Audubon Park. Monika and Karl were great hosts. Hope to return soon!

Cutest little cottage in Uptown!

My boyfriend and I were in town for NYE! This cottage was in such a great location. It was in a pretty quiet area in Uptown, not too far from the street car to get downtown (Ubers were not that expensive to DT and home, either). Monika was a great host that was available if needed and also provided some great suggestions for restaurants/sights to see! Hoping to visit again soon!

Comfortable cottage and in a great location.

My daughter and I stayed at the cottage for a week. Monica met us upon our arrival and showed us the cottage. She recommended some of her favorite restaurants. She checked on us while we were here, but gave us our privacy, as well. The area is very safe and secure. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed and was within walking distance of many restaurants.

Loving Airbnb

This was my very first Airbnb, I love it will not be my last, Monika & Karl made our stay wonderful, we was here for Essence Festival I had told her that we haven’t had a vacation in 8 years an she when out of her way to leave us something nice, gave us places to eat information about the area, we really enjoy our time in New Orleans an the cottage was very clean an very nice better than a hotel, very personal an quiet after a long day in town. Book with Confidence

My wife and I visit NOLA every few months and typically stay in a hotel near the Quarter. This time, we though we'd try something different, so we book this cottage. It's basically a detached studio apartment behind the main house in a cool neighborhood. It has a queen bed, futon, kitchen, and bathroom. It was quiet and we felt that it was a safe area. There is street parking available. There are tons of restaurants within walking distance, so we took advantage of those several evenings. I'd suggest Sarita's Grill if you like Cuban food. The steak dinner and strawberry margarita's were awesome! To go to the quarter, you can drive and find street parking if you look or Uber cars are constantly in the general area and it was about $11 for a trip over. Our couples trip turned into a family trip at the last minute due to babysitter circumstances, but our hosts, Karl and Monika, were amazing and helped us work it out with some extra bedding and towels and some family friendly sightseeing suggestions. They were very responsive and really great hosts! We will certainly stay here again.

Comfortable, clean, and close to good food!

Monika was great! The cottage is close to many restaurants. We walked to many locations to get a taste of new orleans fare every day. There was a festival two blocks down during our stay. Great location!

Very nice property in Uptown area of New Orleans

Perfect location- near Tulane

Clean cozy cottage in the heart of uptown NOLA

I loved my short say at Karl and Monika's cottage. They cottage itself is cozy, updated, and well maintained. It's also in a beautiful neighborhood and great location in uptown NOLA. It's in walking distance to lots of restaurants, shops, historic St Charles Ave, and much more. As a young female traveling alone, I felt totally safe. Monika always made sure all of my needs were met. Overall, I loved the cottage and my stay in NOLA. I will definitely be back. Thanks again Monika and Karl :)

Cute, Cozy, Close

Well made, well decorated space. Small, but more than enough for one or a couple. Full kitchen, large enough bathroom, and close to everything it needs to be! My only gripe, no wifi... however there was a fantastic coffee shop just up the street where I was able to relax and work during my week long stay.

Super Cute & Fun Location

The owners have done a great job updating this cottage. It's super cute and comfortable. It's also a fun location near some great dining options that are off Bourbon St. We used Uber and public transit to get around the city and had no difficulties getting around from this area. Monika is extremely warm, welcoming and has some great recommendations. I would highly recommend this spot!

Neat and clean

Nice little cottage together with a friendly owner make this place hard to beat. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter but close enough to shoot right over. Parking at the house is fine. They are proud of their parking spots in the quarter... great place! I recommend!

Great location

The cottage is as clean, Neat and stylish as it looks in the pictures. We walked to eat breakfast on Freret street in the morning. Walked to Supreme Seafood and had a window seat to the Mardi Gras parade! If I could improve something, I would add wi-fi. Would have been convenient because my husband needed to use his laptop. Not a huge issue though as we walked about 4 blocks to a coffee shop on freret street that had free wi-fi.

Comfortable, charming and great location!

Karl and monika were so sweet and helpful. This is a really cool area and just a few blocks from a trolley that goes right in to bourbon street. It my husband's and I first time to NOLA and our visit was so special because this cozy spot !!

Great Cottage - Great Location!

The cottage was a great escape that is close to everything! Easy access to the Trolley, which takes you to the French Quarter within minutes! Great eats and drinks close to the cottage on Freret Street - only a 2 block walk! The cottage was clean and had all of the amenities anyone could want - full kitchen, full bath, sitting area with television, etc. Monika was very helpful and provided information on the Garden District area and other areas like Frenchman. We would definitely recommend the cottage to friends and relatives. After staying at the Garden District cottage, we will likely not stay in the French Quarter again!

Great Romantic location perfect for a couple!

Monika and Carl couldn't have been nicer and more hospitable. They live on the property and were there to check us in immediately. Upon checking in, we had a quick tour and received a list of great recommendations of all the best local places to visit and eat. After that - it was if you were in your own little cottage for the stay. (Monika did check to see if we needed anything and if we were enjoying our stay every so often!) It was only a few minutes from downtown and it allowed us to explore everything New Orleans had to offer without necessarily being in the middle of all the 'chaos' that can be Bourbon street. Highly recommend this location! Loved every minute of this trip.

What a great cottage in a great location

We had a great two days in this cottage. Easily walkable to great food, easy to take streetcar to downtown, but felt private and secluded. Well-appointed kitchen, and the whole place was well kept and clean. Monika was super helpful in every way.

We both grew up in this neighborhood. We love this house and our neighbors, and it shows. :) We LOVE all things New Orleans and especially Mardi Gras! We bought a home (with this apartment on the property) on the Mardi Gras Day parade route for this expressed purpose. The parades literally happen at the end of the driveway!

But that's not all there is to do in New Orleans. NOLA is full of festivals, culture, architecture and food, glorious FOOD! We know all the best places. :)

This property is beautiful, private, and close to great food in a walkable neighborhood. The Creole Cottage is close to everything you want to do. If you decide to stay in a bit, there is a new large flat screen TV with Amazon Fire Box, featuring: HBO, SHO, Starz, and Sling for live tv.

It's close enough to the Quarter (10 min drive) for easy access, but without the constant barrage of partying. We are walking distance to Audubon Park, Tulane and Loyola Universities, Freret St, St Charles Avenue streetcar... If you are looking for a real, walkable, neighborhood experience, this is the place for you.

Most uniquely, this property is on the Mardi Gras Day parade route and 5 blocks from most other parades of the season. No port-o-potties for you! No long food lines or driving to and from a parade! Just stay here and relax.
Otherwise, it's a beautifully appointed space. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our properties. Calming, neutral colors and an extra comfortable bed will allow you to you have refuge from the outside world. It's almost like a detached hotel room.
