Great safe location close to the lake .

We rented this apartment for our son this summer while he was in town for and internship. It was a great safe location. The owner is great and helpful.

1st trip to NOLA 4/23-4/26

Brianā€™s place was the epitome of comfort and it was thoughtfully designed inside and out. Whether youā€™re resting your head on plush bed sheets, sitting on the comfortable couch, or enjoying the lovely sights in the garden itā€™ll definitely meet your expectations. It was a welcome retreat staying at his place as heā€™s an inviting, kind, gracious and caring host who is more than happy to help you in any way. Heā€™s a delight to talk to and he has a lovely family. Brian also has a packet of helpful information on the table that includes excursions, lists of restaurants and other sightseeing activities in town. A washer & dryer is even in the unit for your convenience & a lovely large walk in closet which I was in love with. The neighborhood youā€™ll be staying in is Metairie, which is in the outskirts of New Orleans. When youā€™re looking to go out to eat, within walking distance & less than 10 minutes away thereā€™s Deannieā€™s seafood, Mama Thai, New Orleans Food & Spirits, Melius bar/grill, Daiquiris & cream and R & Oā€™s restaurant which all open at 11 pm. Just go up the street towards the direction of the school and continue walking down and you will find them. When youā€™re ready to sightsee the main tourist attractions like the French Quarter, etc are about 15-20 minute Uber drive. I went to Blue Nile on Frenchmen street & saw the best musical group named Water seed, who were thoroughly entertaining. This place is great and there wasnā€™t a cover charge or even a drink requirement when we went. Check out their website for further details. If you love to do karaoke youā€™ve got to visit the Catā€™s Meow on Bourbon Street, no cover charge either! After a night out on the town, you will look forward to returning to your cozy space on Geneva Street away from all the loud hustle and bustle of the party goers. City Park is a gorgeous park with great views and multiple things to do there. It is about 10 minutes away from Brianā€™s house & it has a lovely free sculpture garden with fabulous works of art. Plus thereā€™s a cafĆ© du monde truck parked near the garden, so you can try a delicious beignet. I know you will have a great stay at Brianā€™s. It was hard for me to leave and return back to my little apartment after staying there. Thank you for making my 1st trip to New Orleans extremely memorable Brian!

Excellent all the Way!

Like everyone else who has stayed in any of Brian's units , we are very pleased with everything about this location...The unit was just like the pictures showed... The unit was clean and spacious...Off street parking was available and roomy... Winn Dixie just down the street...Location is close to everything you will want to do in NOLA...We would not hesitate to stay here again...You will not go wrong staying here!

Located out of busy areas, but conveniently close to lots of restaurants, grocery stores, whatever you need. Very clean with all you need for a comfortable stay. Secure inside gated courtyard. Of street parking. Roomy and comfortable. Site see/party all day, come back here to rest and relax. Owner is very accommodating.

I stayed here during Voodoo Festival and had an amazing stay! The location is very convenient to city park where the festival was held but also only a short drive to downtown/the French Quarter. Iā€™ve visited New Orleans before but this was by far the best experience Iā€™ve had! This place felt like home. I would highly recommend staying here!

If one is heading to New Orleans and needing a place to stay, this location should certainly be in high consideration. Large living space, full/complete kitchen, large bedroom with full bathroom. Beautifully maintained grounds and courtyard. The host was superb...available by phone or speaking with directly, very familiar with the area and most helpful with recommendations and directions, especially for first-time visitors to New Orleans, as we were. Very highly recommended!

Rendez-Vous Times Two!

Whoever said "you can't go home again" didn't live here! Returning to this tranquil and extremely comfortable apartment was the proof. Brian and his lovely family live right on the premises in an adjoining building, and he is on the spot in the rare case when you need his assistance. The weather that we encountered on this stay was made far more palatable by the cozy environment that awaited us on our return after several chilly and rainy days. Here are just some of the extras that Brian thoughtfully supplies: iron and ironing board, hair dryer, facial wipes, a coffee maker complete with a complimentary jar of coffee (AND French Vanilla cream substitute), paper towels, a range of kitchen necessities, and, what was most appreciated--a state of the art thermostat system that you could adjust to your own level of comfort. It is always a joy, though, to be in NOLA, and as we know, there are a ton of places to stay, both in and out of the French Quarter. But even the most glamorous of venues usually offer one room to visitors; here, you have an entire apartment all your own. This location is ideal for people who like to explore areas beyond the inner city. The relief of complimentary on site parking is something almost impossible to find in the French Quarter area and it is even a challenge when you venture into the Garden District and Uptown. Here, there are no worries, and it is only about a fifteen minute drive to the Quarter and other prime tourist spots. Oh--almost forgot--the bedding is so comfortable that I would like it for my own home. After a hard day of touring you are virtually guaranteed of a quiet and comfortable night's sleep, on top of everything else. We already think of this place as our home away from home; I bet you will, too, once you stay there!

Perfect place for a getaway

This place was extremely clean and a great size. It's more then enough room for 2. The place is only a 15-20 minute drive/Uber ride from the French quarter. Brian was there for check in and check out, he was very nice and welcoming. Will definitely be booking here again for our next trip if available.

Great place

This place is in a great location. It's close enough to everything without being too close to everything. The apartment is nice and welcoming and the owner Brian is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. We had an unfortunate event affect our visit to New Orleans and Brian went above and beyond anything he should or even could have been expected to do in the situation to accommodate us and I will never forget him and his amazingly kind gestures. Should I ever return to New Orleans this place will be at the top of my list, not only because it's an amazing place, but because you can be sure you are doing business with a great person. The Perfect Escape

...from the madness of Bourbon Street. For those of us who shudder at the mere idea of staying up all night in a raunchy dive bar, you have come to the right place. Complete quiet, a great night's sleep, and a well appointed apartment with all the necessities-- plus thoughtful extras like complimentary coffee and tea-- to a blow dryer, facial cleansing wipes, and even an iron and ironing board. Oops!-- almost forgot the microwave and all the kitchen supplies! The apartment is well appointed with sleek, modern, comfortable furniture, a lovely new kitchen and, as many other reviewers noted, a spotlessly clean environment. It is ideal for those who don't mind a short drive to the action of downtown, and unlike downtown, you don't have to agonize over where to park! I had the privilege of meeting the host family during my stay, as they live downstairs on the premises. Lovely, gracious, and accommodating sums them up to a "T"! You cannot go wrong here; this is one of the best finds on VRBO. We had previously tried another place in NOLA based on other's good reviews and some deceptive photographs, only to be appalled by the filthy conditions and the rundown nature of the place--including moldy food left in the frig and layers of dust everywhere. We admit we were gun shy about using a service like this again, but as soon as we walked into the building, we knew we had made the right decision. This is a no-brainer, folks! Grab your dates before they're gone!

Great Place

This was our first rental through VRBO and I can say we were not disappointed. Brian was a great host! The unit we stayed in was up-to-date and very clean. The location is perfect as far as having to get around town. You're far enough away but yet close enough for a quick 10 to 15 minute drive. I will definitely stay here again. We've been coming down to New Orleans for many years and staying in hotels this is much better than staying at a hotel.
