Add a touch of style to your country holiday by reserving this beautiful vaste XVII century family mansion (300m2), located in a peaceful, picturesque village set in a prime location of renowned wine-tasting region between BERGERAC and the famous medieval village of SAINT EMILION (UNESCO World Heritage Site) Far away from the hustle and bustle of urban living.
This authentic , prestigious family residence has undeniable charm and offers high-standard modern conveniences, such as a balneo bath, american refrigerator, plancha grill etc... High definition television, internet and unlimited WIFI access throughout the house.
Four bedrooms of which two with ensuite bathrooms.
Four bathroom: 4 showers, 2 tubs and four toilets.
Kitchens: one fully equipped indoor kitchen as well as summer kitchen overlooking the swimming pool. A barbecue and plancha grill
will facilitate outdoor dining in style in the luxurious garden surrounding the house.
Children's play area and toys include : outdoor trampoline, baby
foot, board games etc...are at your disposal and will keep your children occupied for hours ! Baby equipment is also available for your little cherubs!
Holiday reading a large selection of books in English and french are available for reading on the premises.
The premises and grounds are entirely protected and fenced in and the swimming pool is compliant with security mesures (protection barrier and alarm)
Maintenance of the pool and garden are carried out by the gardener.

2 hours cleaning service by week and final cleaning inclused.
Beds made upon arrival , 2 bath towels/ person and linen kitchen.

Great stay in a beautiful house in charming village

Great property for young families, excellent pool and toys/games selection both in the house and the garden. Brigitte was a great and attentive host. Would very much recommend.

Great house - great location

This was our second visit to this house. It’s spacious with a good choice of bedrooms and bathrooms. Great pool area; and it’s in a village with a boulangerie, corner shop and a good restaurant. But not noisy. Pretty town with supermarkets etc just 10-12 minutes away. The property has tons of stuff for kids- indoor toys as well as garden things. Nice people to deal with too

Stunning house and location

A beautiful French house which was spacious and extremely well equipped. Clearly a well-loved family home and the beautiful house also has a fantastic outdoor area and an extra dining space, which is also well equipped, down near the pool and garden. A gorgeous region, but we could have quite easily spent every day in the beautiful house and by the pool. Brigitte was a great host and made us feel extremely welcome as well as well looked after throughout our 3 week stay. We have some very special memories from our holiday here.

Merveilleux séjour

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour avec nos enfants et nos amis. La maison est très agréable, meublée et décorée avec goût. Elle est très bien équipée. le jardin est juste splendide agrémenté de sa piscine sécurisée. Et enfin, l’accueil et la prévenance de notre hôtesse nous ont charmés. Nous rêvons déjà de revenir !

Great house

Classic French house with massive walls (cool inside even when hot outside). Loads of cutlery/crockery etc and plenty of space. Very helpful hosts. Great pool and poolside area with plenty of loungers. Village has a bakery, small shop and good restaurant. Hard to find fault really. Lovely weeks holiday.

Only good things to say

We stayed for two weeks and enjoyed every minute of our stay at Brigitte’s. The house is great and true to the online description. I would only add one thing may not be listed but that was important to us: the house, be it the kitchen, pool area, games, etc) is very well equipped well beyond what most people have in their own place and well beyond the other 20+ places I have rented so far. Brigitte is also a great host- available when needed, and non intrusive the rest of the time.

Un excellent moment en famille dans une maison pleine de charme

Accueil charmant de Brigitte, toujours disponible pour répondre à nos questions. L’espace est vaste et propose plusieurs ambiances (petite terrasse, cuisine d’été, magnifique jardin…) ce qui permet de varier les plaisirs. La cuisine est très bien équipée et la literie confortable.

Maison de famille pour séjour en famille ou entre amis

Superbe séjour de 2 semaines dans cette maison de famille. Pour les amoureux des vieilles pierres, des beaux meubles et des ambiances vieilles familles. Chacun trouve sa place et son espace dans l’aménagement intérieur de la maison. La salle à manger extérieure est top, à l’abris et à proximité immédiate du barbecue et ou de la plancha et de la cuisine d’été. La piscine au sel extra nous nous y sommes bien baignés et amusés. Très jolis jardins avec différents espaces pour pouvoir s’isoler. La situation ds le village permet d’acheter son pain et quelques vivres sans prendre la voiture. Un lieu qui a répondu à 200% à nos attentes. Ah et j’oubliais literie excellente

Wonderful place to stay

Brigitte's family home was perfect for our family of 8. It was so well equipped with everything we needed and more. Our toddler had plenty to do with all of the toys and trampoline and the highchair and travel cot were very useful. The garden is beautiful and has many spots to hang out in with both sunny and shady areas. There's a lovely table to dine alfresco and even a summer kitchen and plancha BBQ which we used. The pool was lovely and clean and had easy steps to get into. The area was nice, there's a bakery 1 minute walk away and a small shop and we enjoyed visits to Bergerac, St Emilion and Sainte Foy Le Grande. Brigitte was a wonderful host, checking in to see if we were enjoying our stay and even left a welcome basket for us. Would thoroughly recommend!

Außergewöhnliches historisches Anwesen in ruhiger Lage in einem kleinen Dorf mit viel Privatsphäre

Wir wurden auch zu später Stunde noch sehr freundlich von Brigitte persönlich empfangen, damit sie uns in das Haus einweisen konnte. Das Anwesen bietet viele Möglichkeiten zu sein. Das Haus hat Charme: es ist modernisiert, aber authentisch (antik) eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was das Herz begehrt. Es fehlte an nichts und wenn doch, stand Brigitte jederzeit hilfreich zur Seite oder sie hat uns Tipps gegeben. Sie ist eine perfekte Gastgeberin und wir würden jederzeit wieder bei ihr Urlaub machen. Saint Meard de Gurcon ist ein verträumtes kleines Dorf, in dem es einen Bäcker, ein kleines Einkaufslädchen und ein Restaurant gibt. Wir haben es dort sehr genossen.

Wonderful Estate!

We had a great time in St. Meard de Gurcon. The house is amazing. We were 2 families of four and had tons of room. The house is equipped for dozens of people. Two outdoor dining areas as well as a huge kitchen table. "American" size appliances. The kids and adults swam many times a day, and the kids loved the trampoline and other games. Every day we did a trip somewhere fun- Sarlat, Chateau Bridoire, a ropes course, etc. It is a wonderful region. We ate in a lot, mostly because of our numbers and the well equipped kitchen. Loved the bakery a few steps away. Also Brigitte was a great host, spent a lot of time helping us with grocery stores, rental car, trip ideas. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Magnificent family-friendly holiday home

Grandparents, children and grandchildren of 3 to 14 years, 10 in total, stayed with delight in this beautifully maintained, lovingly restored and tastefully furnished classic country house with all facilities inside and outside. We share the enthusiasm of the previous guests for the owners warm welcome, which also consisted of a nice basket of regional products and refreshments in the fridge. We have enjoyed keeping household with French commodities in these tranquil and beautiful surroundings. Bigger and smaller excursions of course require a car, but there is also a lot to see. It was two wonderful weeks for all of us. Un grand Merci de Vera et Christian Michelsen et toute la famille de Danemark tilføjelse på dansk Vi har i mange år haft familietræf i lejet hus i Frankrig. I år var det nok det flotteste, hvor vi fornøjede os med husholdning (skønne franske råvarer!) i rolige og smukke omgivelser og med herlige udflugter til øst og vest. Der er nok at se, men det kræver en bil. Alt svarede rigeligt til forventningerne. Værtindens hjertelige velkomst, som også indeholdt en flot kurv med regionale produkter og forfriskninger i køleskabet, var overvældende. To gange rengøring om ugen var en overraskelse. Det blev to vidunderlige uger for os alle. CM

Wonderful!

My sister and I stayed at the house in Saint Meard du Gurcon with our families for a week in August and loved it! The house is a big, beautiful 'very French' property which is clearly very well loved, well maintained and has been in the family for years, adorned with many items of antique family furniture, pictures and decoration. In the time spent at the house there was plenty of room for the eight of us to move around and have our own space when we wanted it - there were so many different areas to sit outside and relax in the sun! We all had a wonderful stay and Brigitte was the perfect host - a welcome basket of local goods were provided on arrival and she had a genuine interest in our wellbeing and ensuring that we enjoyed the perfect stay - she 'checked-in' with us on a couple of occasions to ensure that everything was OK, never intrusive, but always very friendly and helpful. The house was comprehensively equipped with everything we could have needed and the pool was perfect for the children to play in for hours. The village was small, but had a bakery, restaurant and small grocery store. We were also provided with plenty of information on what was available nearby and had plenty to do whilst we were there - I would thoroughly recommend the Bucket's Auberge Inn restaurant a few minutes up the road in Montazeau for excellent food at a good price; Canoeing at Kayak Port Ste Foy for a variety of options to canoe along the Dordogne; and finally the Chateau de Bridoire for an excellent place to visit with children with plenty of mediaeval games to participate in and a really interactive experience in a wonderful castle and its grounds... I would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone who wants and authentic French Property to stay in, it is very beautiful, well equipped and with plenty to do and see nearby - thank you Brigitte, we had a fabulous time!

Superbe ! Une semaine de rêve !

Très belle maison et très bel accueil. Nous étions 2 familles avec des enfants de 2 à 10 ans et nous avons été enchantés ! Nous avons eu le plaisir de trouver une maison magnifique, décorée avec goût et agréable à vivre. La propriétaire a été très accueillante et a vraiment fait de son mieux pour que nous passions un très beau séjour. La maison est très bien équipée, le jardin est magnifique, belle piscine (et chaude lors de notre séjour), beau trampoline... Bref une semaine de vacances dont nous gardons un très joli souvenir. Encore merci pour ces très bons moments !

location idéale pour passer des vacances en famill

maison pleine de charme, très propre et bien entretenue. Le jardin ainsi que la piscine sont extrêmement agréables.Nous avons passés une semaine à profiter de la maison et de la piscine et personne n'avait envie de bouger ailleurs.C'est une location à recommander à des amis et l'accueil de la propriétaire est très chaleureux avec les spécialités du pays lors du cadeau de bienvenue.

Une agréable surprise

Séjour très agréable dans une vaste maison ayant beaucoup de caractère, de plus très fonctionnelle, nous étions 10. Lits faits à l'arrivée, sur la propreté des lieux et des parties communes rien à redire. La piscine et le jardin (avec ses palmiers et lilas d’inde) ont été appréciés par tous. Ne pas oublier l’accueil chaleureux de la propriétaire (un panier garni de produits régionaux nous attendait dans la cuisine). Nous recommandons cette location à tous ceux qui aiment le calme et l'espace.

Great family holiday house

This lovely old house with private pool and garden yet conveniently near small shops in picturesque village ticked most of our holiday needs' boxes. The owner was caring and friendly without being intrusive. The picturesque bastide towns of this region provided great markets as well as historic architecture and the empty roads are a pleasure to drive on. Great restaurants are within easy reach, and Bergerac airport is within easy reach. A great family holiday.

Malgré un temps gris , nous avons passé 5 jours merveilleux dans cette demeure. Les soirées agréables au coin du feu,et les repas dans cette cuisine très conviviale resteront gravés à jamais dans nos mémoires. Les enfants se souviendront longtemps de leur partie de cache cache endiablée. Pendant ces 5 jours, nous nous sommes sentis comme des princes et princesses. Nous remercions la propriétaire pour sa générosité car les bons produits du terroir et les vins succulents dont elle nous a fait cadeau , nous ont permis de faire un repas de roi pour le réveillon. Merci.

Vacances de rêves

Cette demeure se trouve à la sortie d'un joli petit Bourg, calme et offrant toutes les commodités nécessaires (boulangerie, épicerie, pharmacie etc…) Dès l'accueil, vous comprenez que vous arrivez dans une demeure vivante et très accueillante. Elle est non seulement prestigieuse mais également confortable. Immédiatement on s’y sent à l’aise, on est presque comme chez soi. Le mobilier, l’exposition de l’ensemble, le jardin, la piscine ici tout vous incite à vous reposer à lire et à vous baigner. Surtout ne venez pas seul mais venez avec des enfants, des amis, des parents tout y est fait pour que vous passiez des vacances très agréables. La propriétaire, vous reçois avec beaucoup d’élégance, elle se soucie de votre bien être, vos désirs vos demandes seront prises en compte, rien n’est laissé au hasard.
