360 Degree Views from the charming Taos vacation rental house in prestigious Weimer foothills area. A light and airy home with sunken living room and walk out patio and hot tub. Viga ceilings throughout plus 2 traditional kiva 'Candle Only' fireplaces, one in the master bedroom and the other in the living room, create that southwest ambiance offered by adobe architecture. Both bedrooms are equally large and spacious and there are luscious mountain views North, South, East and West and are seen from every room. Just 1 mile to the Taos Youth & Family Center with pool, ice skating and other recreational facilities and a 15 minute walk to Carson National Forest and hiking trails.

This very southwest style adobe is located on a quiet residential street up on Prestigious Weimer Hill where all homes are on minimum one or more acres. A rare Taos lodging opportunity as there are a limited number of Taos Vacation Rentals in the Weimer foot hills.

Great home and great location

Beautiful home and views. We were here for 5 nights and really enjoyed the home. There are beautiful views in the day time of the mountains and at night time the stars are fantastic.

Taos was great

Great property all in all. Not many amenities though and for future occupants please provide basic toiletries like at least 1 full roll of toilet paper in each bathroom.

Fantastic location for a retreat.

We loved the area and the house was fine. Could use a few repairs here and there. But we had a fantastic, quiet time, which was exactly what we needed!! Loved it.

Home with a view

I fell in love with the style, the decor, and charm of this home. Perfectly located, short drive to everything and the view was spectacular. Mountains outside of every window. The owners and caretaker were wonderful to work with and had immediate response

Beautiful location Spacious and Quiet

Perfect location to visit Taos and Carson National Forrest. House stays cool on warm days and comfortable at night. The heated tile floors are fantastic. Everything we needed was available. We loved it!

Very cool place…we encountered an ant problem in the kitchen each day, but it was manageable. Location was spectacular for view and accessing groceries and attractions. Amenities were very good, however cleanliness of property was marginal in some areas. Overall a very enjoyable experience and we would book it again

Getaway out of city

A nice house that fit New Mexico landscape......quiet and out of town but close enough to shops, etc. The dirt road wasn't the greatest, but okay if you just go slow. It did get you to a great view of mountains and Taos.

Beautiful house and beautiful location

The house is beautiful and the location and view amazing. Plenty of room for our family of 5. The house could use a bit of maintenance to address some broken tiling in the bathroom and perhaps a updating of the plumbing fixtures. Also note there is no air conditioning. This usually won't be an issue as it gets into the 50s at night even in the summer, but in July it can get warm in the late afternoon

The beds were very comfortable, nice baths, and roomy living room/dining room/kitchen area. The hot tub was delightful and the views from each room in the house were spectacular! We loved staying here and in Taos

Great home! Nice location that was very quiet but pretty close to the action - we drove to Angel Fire one day and to Taos ski hill another day - restaurants in Taos are close by. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well appointed. Note that the master bathroom does not have a shower - only a soaking tub. Hot tub was awesome for checking out stars and looking for UFOs. ;) I'd advise the cleaning company to reduce the fragrances used in cleaning/air fresheners - it was really strong smelling when we arrived. We aired it out and it was fine from there forward. Would stay here again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home worked perfectly for our visit to Taos and surrounding areas. Close enough to the square and far enough away to be totally quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed morning coffee on the front patio and the hot tub in the beautiful evenings. Reserving and accessing the property was easy and seamless. No problem for our group of 4 but a possible downside for some might be that there is no shower in the master bathroom.

Off the beaten path and great views!

Really good overall stay. Somewhat dated and in need of repair, like the kitchen…dishwasher not attached, unusable microwave still installed. Listing says 6 people…do not see how 6 people could fit. Two bathrooms but master bath has ONLY a bathtub…no shower which is so strange. One television that has limited viewing for any kind of wifi tv service. We ended up buying a smart tv taking it with us. Some of the images on the listing showed a working fireplace but they are not. Linens and furnishings ie..sofa and chairs are older and not altogether comfortable to lounge. That being said…it was still a good location for us..

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Having stayed in various locations in the Taos area in the past, I can say that this location is ideal. The views are spectacular, the proximity to hiking trails is unparalleled, the setting is serene and peaceful, and it's just a short, enjoyable drive to town (through the forest as opposed to the main drag). The house has a lovely layout and plenty of natural light. The pictures don't do it justice. The kitchen is bright and cheery, the main room is comfortable with spectacular views, and both bedrooms are serene. The hot tub is divine. A few serious issues: 1) the oven doesn't work--it gets up to temp and then stalls and plummets in temperature. Several of the meals I had planned and for which I had already purchased food were ruined as a result; 2) we were only provided with two rolls of toilet paper for our 4 night stay--an oversight that became apparent on our last day there. If the oven were repaired/replaced, I would stay here again in a heartbeat (and bring backup toilet paper, I guess).

No fireplaces as advertised

Total misrepresentation of three fireplace one in the master bedroom, one in the living room, and one outside… The two in the house were decorative only and not for use even though the checkout notes express how they would like you leave the ashes untouched and not pour water on the flames. There were not candelabras in the fireplaces either, and I didn’t come up here to read books and chill out to a thermostat…. The grill needs replacing. It’s in bad shape… The oven doesn’t heat up very well. It took me an hour to heat up a frozen pizza and the cheese still hadn’t melted so it was a soggy pizza… Information on how to operate DIRECTV, No directions on how to warm up the house when it was in the 30s every night. The living room furniture was extremely uncomfortable, the green patio chairs, Pat, either bird poop or white paint all over them. I did not want to sit in them. Other than that, the garden tub Jacuzzi in the master was wonderful with the exception they gave you water down hand soap to bathe with. The hot tub was wonderful and private. The stereo and CD choices were wonderful. The location into Taos Plaza was under 10 minutes. Check the property keeper was very kind and helpful and so was Gary at Premier properties.

Living room has the most uncomfortable furniture ever produced. PLEASE upgrade this. No comfortable seating can be found. Hot tub was a nice way to relax. Rental could provide instructions on use of hottub (control panel doesn’t respond) and instructions for hearing the home (fireplaces are not for use) caretaker is very responsive and friendly. Appreciated him. Overall we enjoyed our stay

Such as decent outdoor furniture,when that is where most of your time is spent, a new coffee pot and dish towels and laundry and bath soap. A clean grill and porch. my husband had to clean out the bottom of the hot tub and I swept the front porch.

Layout is good for 2 couples. Be sure to take bath soap. None furnished. Everything else is good. Our 2nd stay here.
