Ocean front beach house located on the most sought-after stretch of Atlantic Beach, Ocean Ridge Drive.

Owned by the same family for over 70 years, this charming house has entertained many generations of family and friends.

Appreciated by those who want a beach house ‘like they used to be’, this is a place where you feel comfortable with the windows open listening to the waves crashing on the beach from your bedroom.

You will experiencing an old style 'beach cottage" which dates back to the early 60s. Extensively renovated in 2014 but the rustic feel of the interior remain. Attractive solid pine paneling in the main living room and oceanfront bedrooms. Living room features a large picture window with stunning views of the ocean.
Features includes: 400 Mbps wireless internet, a 60” Roku Smart TV in the main living room, with numerous apps provided; YouTube TV, Prime, Paramount, Netflix . The ocean front bedroom downstairs has a 42” Roku Smart TV with the same apps provided. Easy to set up as a children’s viewing room as it has 3 twin beds. The main upstairs living area consists of kitchen, dining room that can seat 12, spacious living room, 4 bedrooms and 1 & ½ baths. Upstairs bedrooms ; #1: one king, #2: two twins, #3: two twins & 1 queen, and #4: one king. The downstairs (ground level) has 2 bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms. Bedroom #5: Two twins and #6: three twins. The washer/dryer, second refrigerator, 2 separate showers and a new deluxe gas grill are located on this level. The house can accommodate up to 8 – 10 cars including a 2 car garage – perfect for large family gatherings. There are plenty beach chairs and toys such as a sea kayak, 1 surfboard, as well boogie boards and skim board. Shibumi beach shade is also provided. A spacious outside enclosed shower with hot and cold water is a popular feature.
Comfortable for just 2 people or up 14 for a large family vacation, you’ll love the relaxed feel of our ‘Little Cottage by the Sea’. You’ll want to return, as most do, year after year and cherish those moments for a lifetime.

Best Beach Cottage

This was our second time staying at this wonderful gem!! The views, the space, everything was just perfect! The hosts are wonderful to work with as well. We had some confusion with the linens and they were so quick to respond and offer a solution! It’s well appointed and has everything you would need to host a large family. Well appointed yet so comfortable!!

Family Beach Time

Big roomy house. Outstanding view of the ocean. My favorite spot was the front porch with the rocking chairs facing the beach. Very quick walk to the beach. This house has everything you need. We really enjoyed our stay!

Relaxing & spacious

Thanksgiving at the Beach

There are 11 members in our extended family and each one of them had a wonderful time at the beach. There was plenty of space for everyone. We had great weather and a wonderful Thanksgiving meal!

Perfection!

This home is the perfect beach cottage. We loved the historic feel of the original paneling, the expansive covered porch with all the rocking chairs you could ever need. Perfect view of the ocean. Daily dolphin sightings. Just a few steps to the beach. This cottage is well equipped. We hosted a Thanksgiving Dinner enjoyed by all. The cottage is very well taken care of. Beds were so comfortable. We will be back.

A little slice of heaven on earth!

The house is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Leave your worries behind, all you need is your food and clothes, everything else is provided for you. The beach is beautiful and such a short distance from the back door of this beautiful cottage by the sea. The hosts are AMAZING and the family history of this cottage is very interesting. Our famiily will be left with memories of this place for ever. Thanks again Jim and Anita for your hospitality.

Such a great holiday and family reunion!!!!!

The beach house was perfect for our big family. It was cozy and clean. Everyone had their own bed and slept comfortably. Lovely view of the ocean and we were able to enjoy the beautiful sunrises and the sunsets from the living room, some bedrooms and from the balcony!!! The kitchen is fully equipped. The owners, Jim and Anita were so pleasant to work with for all the questions and concerns we had during our stay. We highly recommend this beach house and will stay here again for our next beach stay, hopefully, soon!!!!!

The View!!!!

We had a wonderful time at this house. I spent most of the time on the back porch watching/listening to the waves. Just a few steps and you are in the sand. The house was charming with old family photos dating back to what looked like the 1950s. The kitchen was well stocked. The grill worked great. We would definitely stay here again!

Magical

This little cottage by the sea felt like home from the moment we arrived. Jim and Anita have provided everything we needed and more. For those yet to come this year, pay attention to the list of items already there to include a Shibumi to protect from the sun and wind. Thanks Proctors for a not to be forgotten week.

We absolutely loved our time at the little cottage by the sea.

We had a great time! Our family loved this house. It is very convenient to the grocery store, and small restaurants. But mostly having the ocean in your backyard is amazing! We enjoyed our mornings drinking coffee on the deck and our evenings laughing and spending time with family listening to the ocean waves. The house was in great condition we when arrived, very clean! They have some many accessible toys and beach chairs. The kitchen is fully stocked! Jim the owner was so helpful. His communication was very helpful. We hope that in the future we are able to stay at this location again.

Great old fashioned beach place for all ages!

What a great place we found for a gathering of family! Great layout of bedrooms with fun decorating style! As others have said, the porch is amazing and the place to be for coffee in early am, watching storms, taking a break from the sun and beach, and listening to ocean late at night. Older place with personality so very similar to a place our family once owned a few houses down, built in 1940’s. Fun to see generational pictures of the Proctor family through the years and reflect on our own family pictures I had brought to share. The Proctors have set up their place with lots of conveniences that were greatly appreciated such as extension cords, lots of outlets, beach chairs and canapys, shelving and extra towel racks in all the bathrooms. We will want to stay here again and invite folks to join us because the set-up of beds and bedrooms is good for all ages and combinations of family and friends. At first, I was a little hesitant about reserving the place with only two full baths but it worked out just fine for us with location of half baths and the two extra showers downstairs that were just what we needed for all the comings and goings from the beach throughout the days! Our family highly recommends this place for a special one of a kind vacation spot for rest and relaxation — all the modern conveniences and everything you need in a unique and comfortable environment.

Comfy house by the shore

Jim and Anita's home is very cozy. Plenty of rooms. Very nice appliances and accomodations in the kitchen. The porch full of rockers overlooking the ocean is the highlight.

The BEST Beach Cottage

We loved spending the holidays at the beach! The location is perfect- right on the shore with an easy walking path out to the beach. The view from the main room was stunning and we enjoyed the porch, even in the cold weather. The kitchen has everything you need and more. We cooked several big meals at home and didn’t lack anything. Everything about the trip was easy - communication with Jim, check-in and check-out. One thing I’ve never seen in a rental- and this was so thoughtful- power strips with USB plugs at nearly every outlet. So helpful for keeping your electronics charged. One thing to note: Once you walk the easy path to the beach, the sand is soft and fairly deep. At least during the winter, vehicles are allowed to drive in the beach, creating tire tracks in the sand. It could be challenging to navigate for some. But at least it’s flat!!

Beach Cottage Wrap Around!

Our book club of 20 years spent 4 glorious days at this oceanfront cottage. The deck overlooking the ocean and proximity to the beach was outstanding. The living room overlooked the beach... we felt wrapped in comfort. Loved the authentic feeling of this vintage beach cottage. Pine paneling, comfortable chairs and couches. The kitchen was small, but we made due. Actually had seating for eleven for dinners! Great second refrigerator in basement. The layout is perfect for large groups with many bedrooms, extra showers, and ample parking. The owner responded quickly to all of our questions. Perhaps next time we'll stay in season so we can use all the ocean equipment, bikes, beach chairs, balls, kayaks, ect. available to renters. We will be back! Thank you , Jim
