2 bedroom one full size bed and one with a twin daybed with twin pull out trundle, living room has a queen size sleeper sofa,1 bath with washer and dryer. fully furnished glassed in patio with outside deck grill, lake view wood fire pit. Just walk down the wooded backyard to the lake accessible walking trail or cart path . Great fishing. Room to set-up camping or keep trailer. lighting is good for night fishing or kill the lights and enjoy the stars

Sorry no party's or local family gatherings allowed

The private boat docks are not a part of this rental.
The lake is managed by the federal Government (corps of engeneers) and they will not allow any permitted docks on any lake that they manage to be used for commercial use.
I am told however we can let family and Guests/friends use our docks

A gorgeous change of scenery

We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful view of the lake from the mobile home. The accommodations were very complete. The beds extremely comfortable. Everything was neat and clean. We hope to return in the future. More than pleased!

My wonderful stay on the Barren River

My sister and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this property. It was exactly as listed. We sat on the deck, overlooked the beautiful view of the river. It was quite, serene and totally enjoyable. The host, Milton, was wonderful, and we now consider him a great friend! We will be back!

Peaceful Little Property

This is a wonderful property on the lake! Very peaceful and relaxing. If you are a fisherman or just love the lake, it is just a short walk, and you can see it from the property. We went to Mammoth Cave which was about 30 minutes. The sunroom is great! You have cooking and eating space enough in the kitchen, and a large fridge. Comfortable beds. We loved it, and will be back again!

Clean place, nice dock access

The place was very clean and enough space for 3 people. We came just to fish, so it was exactly what we needed and didn't vary from the pictures- actually, it was nicer than the pictures. The only issue we ran into was we booked this place because he said he had a pontoon boat we could rent separately, then we found out a couple weeks before we were coming that he sold it. Luckily, Narrows Marina was able to accommodate us, they have the BEST people and nicest boats there, Wayne is the man!

Great for a couples getaway, fishing, hiking, etc.

Close to Mammoth Cave park. Property is exactly as advertised, moderately private, beautiful lake, nice, quiet, country surroundings, owner allows rental of kayaks and canoes, and is super helpful and communicative. It offered everything we needed.

Perfect Getaway!

This rental and location was exactly what we hoped for. Being on the lake is our happy place and this one did not disappoint. We rented Milton's pontoon boat for the day to explore and get some swimming in. Such a beautiful and peaceful place. Milton was on hand, very helpful and courteous to our requests. The unit by no means is a mansion but perfect for us. Clean and cozy. We will definitely be back!

Great Get A Way

Nice to stay at a place that has boating accommodations! Mobile home was found to be very clean, with some modern updates. Kitchen is still from the 70's, but suited our needs perfectly. I would suggest bringing some utensils, there is only enough for 3 if your bringing the family. The walkway to the water is steep but doable! We had a great time and we appreciate the attention to any questions we had for our host! Make sure to bring some dvds or have a Netflex/Hulu account for watching TV. We never figured out how to get local channels (and we didn't ask). Thanks MIlton and if we come your way again, you'll be hearing from us!

Nice place for a get away

Overall I was satisfied with my stay. I was quiet with an easy walk to the dock to enjoy the day. There is also a nice enclosed sun room on the back side. I did bring my boat down since this place has a dock, be aware if you bring a boat depending on the size it might not make it to the home, luckily the neighbor allowed me to park my trailer in his field next door, I have a 23' boat. There is the Narrows Marina across the lake, about 25 minute drive, that you can easily launch at and come across the lake to the dock. Again overall satisfied with my stay. A couple minor details to address could be the number of place settings a utensils available, we also didn't have any dishsoap so we had to use hand soap for dishes.

Peaceful little property

Booked this home for a girl's weekend. The property is older but has been updated and maintained. The property is pretty secluded and the docks were great for hanging out during the sunny afternoons. The two beds were comfortable but the couch bed definitely needs to be replaced. Our only complaint is that there weren't quite enough dishes for the four of us, the utensils really need to be replaced, and there was limited cookware. Also we ran out of trash bags and all the soaps were watered down (on purpose, per the owner). Milton allowed us to go to the property next door and gather the supplies we needed. He was very responsive fixing the slight plumbing issue on checkout day. All in all a great property for the price but a few updates in the kitchen would go a very long way.

Great Peaceful Getaway

Came down here with a small group during the week. Very peaceful place to stay. We were able to rent out some kayaks for a reasonable price and no one bugged us. The owner was around the neighborhood every now and then and was very friendly!

Awesome get away!!!

The stay was great. The house was clean with an awesome view of the lake. It was peaceful, serene and a fantastic way to spend 4 days. I would highly recommend. Milton was a great host and took care of everything. One reminder--get groceries before coming, there is nothing within 20-30 minutes if "you need stuff last minute".

Just right for us, we love to fish and it's a good spot

It was joyful, we had a great time and caught plenty of fish, planning on going back in the fall, we just hope the rain holds off for us.

Disgusting....

We knew it was an older mobile home, but we expected it to be clean. We were woke the first night to the sound of mice in our food in the kitchen. The next morning we found mouse poop all over the counter. The air vent in the hall was caked in dust and we found mouse poop in the bed we put our kids in. Everything in the house felt like it needed a cleaning. Needless to say we left on the second night and just paid for a hotel loosing two nights we had paid for. It was dirty and we literally left at night rather then stay there again. We didn’t ask for a refund because he had a deposit from us and we doubted he would refund anyway. It was in August when we visited, but I just found this email asking me to review so I decided to respond to it.

Nice setting but too costly for an older facility

Property is an older MH with a nice attached sunroom on a picturesque wooded lot. The decline to the dock is steep and may not be suitable for everyone. Renters with boats should know that the boat ramp is across the lake from the property, which is not bad unless you take it in and out daily. Could be ideal for a couple that wants a real quiet weekend.

It grows on you

The location is great. The lake is right there. The access is easy. Close to Mammoth Cave if the weather is not cooperating. It is a mobile home with tight quarters but when I visit a lake I do not intend to stay inside that often. The trip was great.

Gorgeous

The view from the back is absolutely stunning. Suggestion, if you like tea or coffee, make sure you have some. The back room is the perfect spot to enjoy morning tea/ coffee. Too pretty not to. The house served its purpose, not exactly up to date, but it was clean and had enough space for us to be comfortable. I only wish we had more time to go enjoy the lake and fish. The property owner was very quick to respond and extremely friendly. I usually go to places based on customer service, and this is someone I would definitely go back to.

You will be in the kentucky foliage, wildflowers and wildlife all the way to the water it's just special !
For the fisherman in your life we are located in a deep water cove right off the creek chanel so we have water all year. Crappie fishing is great in the winter months.
