Ocean House 1603 2 bedroom 2 bath gulf-front

Ocean House #1603 is an interior gulf-front 2 bedroom 2 bath condominium located on the 6th floor in building I overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is approximately 1000 sq ft with views of the gulf from the living room and gulf-side master bedroom. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen with washer and dryer. There are 2 full baths with either a tub/shower combo or stand-alone shower. The gulf-side master bathroom is accessed via the bedroom and hallway. The street-side bedroom has an attached bathroom with a stand-up shower.

Ocean House I and II are 9 story buildings with 6 units per floor located 1 mile West of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. Ocean House has a large seasonal zero-entry outdoor pool and small kiddie pool. The property also has a grilling area that services both buildings I and II. Minimum age required: 23. Sleeps 6.

Parking passes are purchased on-site at Ocean House at guard house or office located in building I - CASH ONLY. There is a maximum of 2 parking passes per unit and cost is set by the association and is subject to change at any time without notice.

STAY AND PLAY

This rental comes with our 'Stay and Play Package', which includes complimentary tickets to the best area activities including; golfing, deep sea fishing, dolphin/nature cruise, amusement park, zoo and movie rentals. Each rental comes with our "Stay and Play package." Some restrictions apply.

*The 'Stay and Play Package' begins on the scheduled date of arrival and is not available on day of departure. Services are non-cumulative and non-transferable. All services are subject to change, subject to availability, and weather permissible. The 'Stay and Play Package' does not apply to monthly rentals.

The room is very spacious, clean and we just loved our stay there. The check in and out was a breeze. The view from the balcony was my favorite for watching the sunrise!

Check in was horrible. Harley would not give me the address to the office. She said she couldn't release that info until 3. Mind you i was 5 1/2 hrs away. After i begged she said she would text it to me, she couldn’t say it she had to text it. It was absolutely terrible the wY she spoke to me. My kids were horrified as they heard bc i had her on speaker. Other than her, everything was great.

The condo was nice and the location great, but the security left a lot to be desired. Especially after you had to pay for a parking pass that no one was ever there to check. It took over 3 hours for someone to show up and to take your money. And you were the one that had to track them down - it should have been after you called the building to let them know you were there - they found you once help arrived. One afternoon the guy was asleep in the guard house and didn't even hear us knocking on the door (to pay for the parking pass you were required to have or be towed).

Location!

Directly on the beach. Close to everything but didnt feel like the crowds or traffic were bad at all. Watched dolphins every morning from the balcony. Already looking to book again next year!

Nice Stay

Overall, the condo was nice. The washing machine was VERY LOUD and the living room furniture was not very comfortable. This was our 5th year staying at Ocean House 1, but the first time in this unit. The location is perfect.

Gulf Shores Ocean House

Great stay. The pool (very large)was amazing! Plenty of room for everyone there. The beach had plenty of space. There was a constant stream of people in and out of the complex but we never waited over a minute for the elevator! Only minor issue was that there was a strong odor coming from the kitchen sink that we never eliminated. Would still gladly recommend this place.

Great Views!

Ease of check in was great. The condo was comfortable. The large pool was not crowded even though it accommodated both Condo buildings for all the guests. Would highly recommend

Nice location but the building needs updates

The room it’s self was just what we needed but the building was older. The front office smelled of smoke, the building had peeling paint and in front of the property there were pillars in the water that ended up cutting the kids legs. It’s not the condo owners fault but they need updates to the property its self. Having to stop on the busy street to get the keys was super annoying and should be put into the description of the condo. The key didn’t work unless it was perfectly aligned. Keyless entry would be a nice upgrade.

Very clean!! The whole property is very well maintained.

The unit had everything including a crock pot and a full size coffee maker and a Keurig! They supplied a starter set of soap in each bathroom and dishwasher soap and dishwashing soap which was handy. The furniture and beds were comfortable. My husband loved the recliner. The pool and deck was cleaned every morning. The shortest distance to the ocean water than anyplace I've been. We would stay here again.

The beach is right there!

The view from this condo is breathtakingly beautiful! It's very close to the shore, closer than any we've rented in the past. If you want to be close to the water, this is a great choice. This condo building is a bit older, has that old building smell, but it's clean and gets good care. The elevator stopped working while we were there, but maintenance was quick and took care of it right away. The people were friendly and no contact check-in and check-out was simple and easy. I would not hesitate to stay at this condo again!

March at the beach.

We stayed for 3 weeks. The condo was great. Kitchen was well stocked, maybe a little too much. The extra item we didn't need we stored in a closet. Guess better to have more than not enough. Beach view from the patio was closer than any thing we have previously stayed at. The only negative I have is with the complex and not this unit. The garbage truck comes around 6:30am and is very loud in the 2nd bedroom. The master bedroom you don't hear it. Great place would recommend.

Wonderful View

This was a great condo for our family of 4. The views from the balcony were wonderful, the space was clean and well-kept. Would definitely rent again!
