Wonderful cottage in a perfect location!

3 women on a girls' trip mid-October 2022. The cottage and gardens are beautiful - we sat outside in the sunshine and easily walked everywhere. We would recommend and would love to return! Two suggestions: some of the lights wouldn't turn on, in the main bath and in the living room. And it would be nice if the owner provided bath soap. Thank you for providing a fabulous getaway!

Absolutely awesome, especially the flowers. River cottage was the epitome of an English garden. Location in Dock Square was ideal, walking distance to everything.. The cottage refurbishment and the interior design matched the exterior quality. 5 stars plus!

Great place!

Great place to stay while in Kennebunkport and is a very convenient walk (not parking hassles) to anything in Dock Square and the surrounding town. The host is the best. The Place is even better.

Exceptional Cottage!

Loved our stay! The cottage is pristine and so relaxing. The location and views are perfect and Jamie was wonderful to deal with. Our favorite meal in Kennebunkport was actually the evening we grilled fresh lobsters and scallops out on the deck. Highly, highly recommend River Cottage!

Kennebunkport 'River Cottage'.

My husband and I just returned home today after four nights at the River Cottage. It is just as described, clean and welcoming. We did not want to leave! Yes, it was a cold Christmas, but we were able to walk to several restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The shop keepers were happy to see you walk in and there was a very calming and welcoming feel to the town. Jamie was never further than a shout (email) away, with answers or information. He is on top of his game. We did not get to meet him this trip because of our schedule, but hope to do so in the future perhaps at another one of his fabulous properties. A seemless transaction. So, if you want to be in the center of it all during the warmer months, you cannot beat the location or the price! The best of all world's awaits you at The River Cottage.

Perfect cottage in Kennebunkport

My husband and I rented the River Cottage for a long weekend and loved every minute! The cottage is beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean... The location is perfect... You can walk to everything... And the back yard and dock looking right onto the water was amazing. This is a really great place to relax, enjoy the many things to do in this area and have wonderful privacy as well. We will definitely return again!

Amazing location, gorgeous and comfortable home with private yard on the water

My husband, eight month old and I stayed at the River Cottage for our first trip to Kennebunkport. We LOVED this place and can't wait to come back. Amazing location right in town (with parking!), with a private, gorgeously landscaped backyard right on the water. Several nights we chose to stay at home and cook because it was the best spot in town to hang out. We could hear the live music at nearby venues and drink our own wine in the luxury of our backyard. It has so many wonderful little touches that made the stay comfortable like soap, shampoo and top-of-the line sheets and towels. Highly highly recommend!!

Overall impression of this small cottage is impressive. lovely decor, very clean and lots of room . so close to restaurants and little shops . can walk everywhere. Jamie the manager wasvery helpful. The view out back was gorgeous, looking out on the harbor of Kennebunkport.

A Special Place in Kennebunkport

The River Cottage is truly a special place. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. From the amazing location, beautiful flowers and landscaping to the designer-decorated interior, all of our expectations were exceeded. Upon our arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find a thoughtful welcome gift bag. Kennebunkport's quaint shops and fine restaurants were just footsteps from our front door as well as the trolley and horse and carriage. Although we were in the middle of town, it was very quiet at night and comfortable for sleeping. We looked forward to our daily walks through town as well as relaxing in the peaceful backyard. We used the grill and enjoyed several meals on the patio. The cottage has a small but well-equipped kitchen and is spotless. The owners and the manager, Jamie, were very accommodating and available to answer any questions. We would highly recommend this beautiful seaside cottage. You won't be disappointed!

Heavenly River Cottage

We spent a fabulous week at River Cottage and cannot wait to go back. The house is exquisitely decorated and perfectly located. Everything is a stone's throw away: restaurants, shops, beach. The lovely garden and grounds are meticulously maintained. We enjoyed lounging on the patio and admiring the sailboats from our private dock. The icing on the cake was the welcoming gift basket and the property manager's thoughtful consideration. Thank you, Jamie!

Perfect Home, Perfect Location - Perfect Vacation

Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us! The River Cottage is perfect in so many ways, from the moment you enter with the generous gift basket, amenities and beautiful interior decorating, it's like checking into a very nice hotel. You really don't need to bring anything other than your personal items. The outdoor space is equally as inviting and pleasing as the indoor space. The flowers gardens and lawn are lovingly maintained. We really enjoyed sitting out on the dock every evening, enjoying the sunsets, boats and people watching. We rented kayaks for the week and were able to launch right from our own private dock every morning! The location is awesome, close to all of the shops, restaurants of KBPT but then you are able to retreat to your private backyard for solitude. We are looking forward to spending more time at the River Cottage, can't wait to go back.
