Lovely Family Holiday

This was our first time staying in a villa. Both Chris and Pauline made the process simple and happy to help with recommendations. We had a lovely relaxing holiday which was very much needed. The villa is huge, the garden is lovely and pool a big hit with the children. We enjoyed lazy days by the pool and exploring Sotogrande, particularly the harbour. We wouldn’t hesitate in returning. Thank you Chris and Pauline.

Casa Roble, San Roque

Property was lovely very well maintained. Cleaning lady(ies), were rude and had attitude. There was only a very limited amount of cleaning they were willing to do. Waste of money

Thank you for your 5* review. We are pleased that you thought the villa was lovely. However, we are sorry that you felt the cleaners were rude and a waste of money. Had we been made aware of this during your stay we could have rectified any problem. During your stay the cleaners were a team that have worked with our management company for 10 years without complaint. Nonetheless we have discussed your comments with them. Cleaning is an inclusive service provided for our guests within the rental price. The cleaners are of course paid for by us and do tasks prescribed by us within set hours. During our discussions we have agreed that in future where a guest has different priorities to the tasks we have set there will be more flexibility including the hours worked, so that the cleaners can deal with the reasonable requests of guests. We therefore very much hope that you would like to stay in Casa Roble again.

Amazing!

Fantastic house, even better than it may seem in photos. Everything has been very easy thanks to the staff. Highly recommended! No doubt, we will come back again.

Great place in the sun!

We had a really relaxing time at Casa Roble. We had stayed there several years ago and it is still a stunning and well equipped villa, so close to the golf course facilities as well as the local bar and restaurants. The welcome pack including cold beers and wine amongst other things was just what we needed after arriving in the heat and it saved an immediate shopping trip. The villa is very clean and well maintained and has lots of facilities including several separate sitting areas so everyone can escape if they need space. The customer service was excellent and friendly. The pool, hot tub and gardens are just as clean, well maintained and extensive as inside the villa and we felt no need to venture out. I’d definitely recommend Casa Roble to anyone and we certainly plan to go back again.

Perfect family golf break

Great family golf trip to celebrate a big birthday. Chose this villa so we could be close to San Roque Club amenities, but didn't realise just how close we were! Literally a couple of minutes walk from pro shop, practice ground and first tee! 10 minutes from the other great courses in the area such as Valderrama and La Reserva. Chris's recommendation to go down to Sotogrande Port for evening food and drink was perfect. But the villa was so nice we spent most of our non-golfing time relaxing in the pool and jacuzzi or firing up the BBQ. Villa was very well equipped and beds super-comfortable. Have told all my golfing friends to stay there!

A great family holiday

We had a wonderful time at Casa Roble. We were 6 adults and 4 children so the set up at the villa was ideal for us. Kids (and grown ups!) loved the pool and despite best intentions often ended up lounging there for most of the day. The house was perfect for us. It is obviously well maintained and was spotlessly clean. I had my elderly parents with me, who while fully mobile found the ground floor bedroom / bathroom arrangement ideal and plenty of 'quiet' / cool spots for them when they wanted some time away from the fray. We ate out most of the time (we loved the port area at Sotogrande) but the kitchen / outside courtyard was perfect for breakfasts / grazing throughout the day and the conservatory was fabulous for a couple of big family evening meals we did while we were there. You can tell it is or has been a family home – really everything we needed was there. We were very happy to be completely independent but when we had a couple of questions we found it easy to make contact whenever we needed to.

Everything it promised and more

Review: I have just returned from a golfing holiday based at San Roque Club. Casa Roble is an absolutely wonderful villa in a stunning, peaceful location. The golf clubhouse and Tangos restaurant are both just a few minutes walk away. The accommodation is beautiful and the pool and gardens are spacious - a great place to relax after golf. The jacuzzi is a bonus to soothe sore muscles! It's right by the practice centre and both San Roque courses. Just 10 minutes drive from the other courses we played - Valderrama, La Reserva and Sotogrande which Chris at Ginger Beer Golf Travel helped to arrange. I can highly recommend staying there. Hope to see it again soon.

Fantastic relaxing family holiday.

An absolutely stunning villa in a peaceful location a short drive from sotogrande. Beautiful and spacious accommodation with equally beautiful and spacious garden. Exceptionally clean and well maintained. Great customer service and friendly people. The pool club 5 minutes walk away also had a lovely pool and served good food. Would definitely recommend to a family or large group who want to relax but also dip in and out of what the local area has to offer.
