BAD EXPERIENCE.

We booked this villa for 6 nights and had very bad experience on check inn there is no villa number provided.called the host lady she did’t answer the phone. We drove from Paris. After driving 9hr took us 2hrs to get hold on to someone to tell us the villa num. Well next day in morning gone in kitchen open kitchen cupboard and we was welcome with SPIDER WEB AND SPIDERS and after spider welcome went to see the pool it was very dirty so called the host to find out whats going on she was apologetic and said someone will come to clean it. Well someone did came later on that day and clean it. Also very dirty under the bed. No one came to clean anything during the whole stay. On checkout host lady assa came called me just b4 10am that she is outside and after 10min she decide to walk in her self without letting us know and came upstairs while we are getting change. Very unhappy with the service we receive.

Gorgeous villa

We were one of three couples attending a wedding in a nearby town and stayed in Villa Phoebe for six days. It is a splendid place, beautifully designed, extremely comfortable, with gorgeous grounds, and we would recommend it without reservation. It is about 2 km outside of Vence down a country lane, making it a fairly long walk into town or a brief bike ride. Vence is very pleasant and enough off the beaten track that it is not overrun with tourists. It's about a 30 minute drive to Nice or Antibes, 15 minutes to St Paul de Vence, and there are buses (no trains) that will take you also. The area around the villa is wonderful for hiking and biking but if you want a beach you will have to travel a bit. The villa was exactly as advertised and we concur with the other rave reviews. The owner was very responsive and communicative and the resident caretakers were extremely helpful. We cooked dinner for ten a couple of times and the kitchen was well-equipped for this, though we had to ask how to work the oven. (Hint: it is electric and the rangetop is gas.) (The street number did not come up on our GPS, so just enter the street name and look for the number on the outside wall.) We all felt that we would try very hard to return.

To all American visitor may I take this opportunity to remind you that there must be at least 3 months left on your passport as we found out during this booking, or you will not get to Europe. as we sadly found out on this particular booking, (all went well in the end, 2 of my guests arrive a day later)

Perfect location to enjoy the Cote D'Azur

This is the ideal spot to explore the Cote D'Azur. The house is set in the most delightful and tranquil of settings so if you want a break from the bustling towns nearby like Nice, Monte Carlo etc then stay by the pool. Asa is very welcoming and is a font of knowledge recommending markets and hot spots nearby. She kindly made reservations at the famous Colombe D'Or and the less we'll known African Queen. Both were fabulous. Nothing like enjoying the sun with a glass of Rose!! The house is set in a lovely garden and we enjoyed dining al fresco whether by the pool or under the shade of the large tree in the garden. There were only 4 of us but this house lends itself to larger parties. I can imagine a large house party for a celebration. The open plan living lends itself to a number of people listening to music knowing that neighbours are far enough away to really let loose! I'm hoping to take some friends down to enjoy the many walks, beaches and beachside restaurants. Can't wait to return to see what else the lovely Asa can recommend!! A bientot...

Great Getaway in a Great Location

My husband and I spent a week recently at Villa Phoebe and loved it! It was exactly as described in the photos and we felt at home as soon as we arrived. So many relaxing outdoor seating areas (if you can tear yourself away from the lovely interior of the Villa). All the conveniences of home except in a wonderful laid back atmosphere and great weather! Such a great location within walking distance to the lovely town of Vence which has anything you could need there all in a beautiful setting. St Paul de Vence is right next door which is the most magical, village we have seen anywhere in France yet. We visited Cannes, which is a must see and only a short drive or train ride away. A wonderful stay made even better by the attentive care and thoughtfulness of the host! Highly recommended!

Fabulous family holiday

Our family of 5 and another family stayed at Mrs Hanna's wonderful villa in Vence and we simply had a fabulous time. The villa is light and airy and leads straight out onto the pool terrace where we spent most of the holiday. Lunches were usually taken under an enormous shady tree in the garden, it all felt very Homes and Gardens. Unlike other villas we had stayed in, this villa had large bedrooms and plenty of space so we didn't feel we were on top of each other. And at every time of the day there is sun pouring in through a different window. Bliss. Takes me straight back there just writing about it.

Wonderful and Relaxing holiday.

My sister and I rented villa Phoebe with our families in Vence, and we had a wonderful and relaxing holiday. The villa is large and sunny with plenty of room for all of us. Something we worried about, being so many! It was very clean and beautifully equipped with everything one could wish for in the kitchen. More like a home from home then rental villa we have experienced in the past. The linen of excellent quality very much appreciated with plenty of pillows, great! The independent cottage was a heaven sent for our parents as there was no stairs and they had their own privacy. Vence is a lovely town and we spent many evenings in the square with the kids running around. Mrs Hanna booked us in to a romantic evening at the Colomb D’or, she was extremely helpful and gave us a huge list of attraction in the area, to be explored another time, as we spent most of our time in the shady garden and sitting around the pool or me hiding on my own quiet terrace outside my bedroom!. There is a forest right on the doorstep on the villa, the children spent many fun days climbing trees and cycling around! We will absolutely love to go back to Villa Phoebe, well recommended!

Holiday in Vence

Thanks for a great holiday - Vence and the surrounding area is gorgeous - whether you want to be on the beach or walking in the hills. Nearby villages have wonderful restaurants and beautiful markets. The house was easy to be in with lovely outside entertaining space and very quiet and peaceful. Being so close to Vence and the airport made it very easy for friends to come and go. All in all, a great success. Thank you!

Villa Phoebe Vence/ Relaxing stay

We spent 7 lovely sunny relaxing days by around the pool in Villa Phoebe in the South of France. Just 25 mins away from the centre of Nice and its lovely beaches and little Ports. We treated ourselves to an outstanding lunch on the terrace of Colom d'Or and various other local bars and cafes. We cycled straight from the house through the forests which were right on the door step. The villa was large and spacious and airy, exactly as it had been potrayed in the photos, so no nasty surprises there ! We found ourselves in a completely completely peaceful oasis of palm trees and hibiscus and Oleander. We will definitely visit again, and next time we will take advantage of full maid service and cook that can be requested. Altogether, a wonderful homely retreat. Highly recommended ! Thank you.

Re-descovering the Cote d'Azure!

I had a truly wonderful holiday at Villa Phoebe in Vence! Such easy access from the airport - and then to arrive within such a short time at the totally tranquil villa was wonderful. The villa was very comfortable - there is everything there that you can possibly need. The garden offers shade or sun with comfortable seating just about everywhere. Vence is a lovely old town, good shopping and good restaurants and the nearby St Paul de Vence is nothing short of spectacular, perched on this huge rock. We went for walks - and they can be as relaxed or as challenging as you want them to be - there are enough hills and river valleys for everyone's taste! And,of course, the villa is so near the coast with all that it has to offer. On a slightly romantic note - I never thought I'd be holding a fire fly!! I can warmly recommend Villa Phoebe Vence. O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

I fell in love with the villa's open spaces and the wonderful huge tree in the garden where we could share lunch with family and friends under its shady shadow.

It feels like a country home, but the great plus was a short distance from the town of Vence with all its lovely restaurants and shops museums and history.
it is away from the hectic bustle of the coast but only 20 minutes from Nice airport. Just perfect for our family, and hopefully you should you decide to rent our bit of heaven?!
